Resonance of Fate was officially announced for a rerelease on the PS4 and PC. I had the game, but sold it for some reason. I don't remember why since while the game was hard in a sense of me not understanding the combat system, there wasn't anything I disliked about it. If anything, there were many things I liked about it like the English voice cast had Nolan North, Scott Menville known for voicing Robin in Teen Titans and for me, Max in Dark Cloud 2, and Jessica DiCicco who I knew most as the voice of Olette in Kingdom Hearts II and Malina in The Emperor's New School show. Does anyone remember that show? The combat system itself was pretty gnarly in that it was turn-based, but featured basically Matrix gunplay and the ability to chain attacks together. Also, apparently the PlayStation Classic is now a thing: http://www.siliconera.com/2018/09/1...re-console-with-20-games-releases-december-3/. I wonder when an Xbox Classic will come out. Possibly not going to happen since Microsoft has been trying to make backwards compatibility work.

As for FEH stuff, more chances for me not to get PA Olivia and PA Azura. Spoilers: no green orbs showed up, so I never had a chance for PA Azura.
3* Oboro: +Def, -Atk.

4* Ogma: +Atk, -Res.

3* Raigh: +HP, -Res.

3* M!Robin: neutral.

3* Virion: +Def, -Spd.

Kind of weird for this banner to suddenly appear, though. I don't think it's on the event calendar or anything. That being said, I did get a +Atk, -Res 4* Ogma which is awesome since I've been wanting to build Ogma and Gunter and Jagen for that matter, for their art. Ogma's easier to build even though he's a red sword in a sense of he's a low consequential project, especially for merging. Ogma doesn't really offer anything that a lot of people want or you can't get from someone else e.g. Gunter has Hone Cavalry and Jagen has Fortify Cavalry and Fury 2 as a 4*. It just dawned on me today that Clair is one of those low consequential merge projects since she doesn't offer a complete set of passives, Spur Spd in this case, as a 4* because Clair and Xander reasons, Hit and Run is interchangeable with Drag Back which is found on Donnel, Eirika, Gwendolyn, and Roderick, and Silver Lance and Harsh Command are pretty niche. Other than the cost if you're going for 5* +10 and waiting on a good boon and bane, there isn't anything to lose when merging her and the payoff of just building her in the first place is great as you get a unit with effective damage against two movement types. She's no Cordelia, Shigure, or Tana, but that's fine.

Back to Ogma, it'd be pretty fun if he got a sword version of Basilikos or Divine Tyrfing. Double L&3 with a -Res Ogma means 0 base resistance while tanking magic with a unit with the lowest base resistance would be hilarious and dumb. Bartre might be better with an axe version of Divine Tyrfing, though, since it'd be easier for him get the most out of Deflect Magic and he'd be a different color unlike Ogma.

So the Online Service is now live. I'll have to get it if I wanna play myself some BBTAG and Monster Hunter. Speaking of which, I wanna know if anyone here has Generations Ultimate on Switch, and if so; what's your Weapon Main and Armour?

I've also managed to change my Kinsect to that of a Speed Kinsect, so I'll be staying dedicated to that with my Hidden Scythe, I'll just need to get I think Seltas Queen Jaw to level up one of my items further. I'll need to fight some Hyper Monsters now, if I can get materials from a Hyper Tigrex and Hyper Rathalos, then I can upgrade my Rathalos Armour and make Luna Makeover for my Prowler.

But I'll probably try for Dreadking Armour in the future.

I don't really believe in "maining" a weapon for Monster Hunter, every monster has weapons I prefer using on them. I do make a bit more gunlances than other types, largely to cover shell types though. And I use them along with hunting horns online since not many others do and they cover bases other weapons can't.

The armour sets I make are meant to complement the weapon I'm using at the moment. I use Escadora (Alatreon) R for elemental damage, as an example.

So, Dante's battle theme was posted and unofficially I think since its music video was removed and Capcom Unity makes no mention of it nor was it posted on Capcom Channel. Personally, I'm not a fan of metal music in general, so "Subhuman" is a bit hard to listen too. The instrumentals are great, however. People have been ripping on it mainly on its lyrics which I'm not sure if it's the lyrics themselves, the singer who I think is Cody Matthew Johnson, or the mixing since it does overpower the lyrics. In-game, you would hear the instrumental first before the lyrics as you rise in style ranks, but I'm not sure if this would sound as nice as Nero's battle them "Devil Trigger" progressing from instrumental to lyrics. That said, if DMC5 features multiple battle themes, it might not be as bad and each one could fit stylistically and the current events in the story, but that hasn't been done since DMC3 I believe. DmC has different battle themes, but I'm not sure if they're stage dependent or what since DMC3 has two? battle themes where the second one replaces the first one after about halfway into the game.

Stylistically, DMC and Dante have been associated with metal music ever since. Like other music, metal has different genres and evolved as time went on, so "Subhuman" being performed by a deathcore band might be an example of that where as Dante is getting older and changing, so too is metal and the metal music in DMC. Maybe it's not to everyone's liking and maybe it's saying how Dante's taste in music is very specific; that Dante mainly likes metal music, regardless of what kind of metal, and not much else. Or I'm just reading into this too much.

Edit: More music stuff and I just listened to Suzaku's theme from Final Fantasy XIV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3m8GewVWQk. It's the recent raid boss's theme. Anyway, it reminded me of one of the songs from the Claymore anime. I think it was a character theme. I'll have to check later, but this song has this old, anime feel which I'm not sure if that's what it's reminding me of. Regardless, I love whatever quality it has.

Edit 2: Edit Harder: DMC5's TGS 2018 trailer featuring Dante. Lady's face looks really cute compared to in DMC4. I think it's closer to DMC3's render of her even though it's probably based on a model like with everyone else. DMC4 Lady felt like the sunglasses made her look good, but once she takes them off, it's like her face looks like it was a different art style or something. Trish is same old Trish which is a shame since she's been wearing the same clothes since DMC1; since 2001. As for V, well, all I'll say is him wearing sandals while everyone is wearing heavy duty, protective boots is funny.

According to the article, Dante will have at least access to six weapons. Four of them are returning weapons of which three of them are his staple weapons: Rebellion, Ebony & Ivory, and the sawed-off shotgun which is continuing DMC4's naming of it being called the Coyote-A. The fourth is the Sparda which Dante hasn't been able to wield since DMC1. DMC3 doesn't really count since it's only used in its sealed form, the Force Edge.

Additionally, the motorcycle Devil Arm has been named and it's called the Cavaliere which is in French and Italian, but most likely Italian since it doesn't have an accent over the first "e", means "cavalier" or "rider" as in a horseback rider or horseman. In Italian, it also has two other definitions of 1. an escort, partner, or gentleman and 2. a knight. Quite fitting as Dante rides the Cavaliere motorcycle and Dante is named after an Italian poet, but also with the two other definitions in Italian that Dante is kind of a gentleman and he is the son of Sparda who was known as the "Legendary Dark Knight". I wonder if it could also reference the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Anyway, moving on to the sixth weapon.

With the exception of DMC2, Dante will also have a martial arts-based Devil Arm and it's called Balrog. Balrog is a demon in Tolkien's stories, but also the name of a Street Fighter character. I say this since Balrog along with M. Bison and Vega were shuffled in the English version of Street Fighter II and stuck with it for the overseas versions. In English to Japan, Balrog is M. Bison where "M" stood for Mike, M. Bison is Vega, and Vega is Balrog. Getting that out of the way, Balrog the Devil Arm reminded me of Gilgamesh at first with the wavy, segmented designs of the gauntlets and greaves, but if it's referencing Balrog the boxer and with its fire effects, it could be a combination of DMC1's Ifrit and DmC's Eryx which isn't surprising as DMC3's Beowulf built on Ifrit and DMC4's Gilgamesh built on Ifrit and Beowulf. In this case, I could see some of the boxer influences of Eryx which didn't really happen as while they looked like funky, Hulk gloves, DmC Dante used them like an untrained street fighter.

I've been seeing everyone say that this sounded awful so I finally gave it a listen, thinking that it's probably not that bad and most of the complaints were coming from people thinking that it was too different from what the old music was like (btw I know NOTHING about this series and have never played it), but... that's actually just bad.
The beat sounds fine tbh and an instrumental version of it would probably work (or I guess from what you said, just play the game good enough but not too good and you'll be fine :colorful:) but the "lyrics", sorry but try again. I've never listened to deathcore (wow I haven't tried a lot of things), but I thought vocals like that were just used as a joke for purposely bad music in moves and shows, I didn't think there was ACTUAL music like that.
But again, an instrumental version of it would probably sound pretty solid, so that means it's still better than the entire country genre.

So I decided to look and see which characters in Smash do not have projectiles for whatever reason. :V

And these were the characters that have no projectiles!:

Also, I've fought the Dreadking Rathalos, and I gotta be honest; it's my favourite monster to hunt.

I did manage to acquire Dreadking Armour, but if I want to level it up; I'll need to be the host of the quest to fight it with different requirements. I wish I could do Dreadking Hunt: II and so on, I'll just need to make the quest successful every time. :V

I also had to change my Prowler, since I found out that Charisma Prowlers are not good, so I'm gonna be trying out Beast Prowler instead, which could be kind of fun. Thanks to this user for the helpful video and this tweet:

That's understandable, from talking with someone who has used the Insect Glaive in MHXX; they have highly recommended that I do run Hidden Scythe, since that IG has an Affinity of 40%, mix that with Rathalos/Dreadking Armour, and the Affinity will go higher, meaning I can get Critical Hits around 80-90% of the time. Which is pretty damn good tbh.

Also, Dreadking Armour + Fire Res (L) makes getting burned from monsters that breath fire or standing in hot areas is a joke. :secretkpop:

I'm pretty sure fire resistance does nothing against against "walking on lava" damage. That requires a different food or armour skill.

Yeah, the instrumental is good, but the vocals are bad. Lyrically, it doesn't really matter since you could make a great song with the dumbest lyrics ever, but how it's done is bad which was mentioned in the comments and analyzed by a hobbyist (music) producer on Devil May Cry's subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/DevilMayCry/comments/9hdm91/the_reason_why_the_vocals_were_annoying_in_the/. Take it with a grain of salt, but I do agree with user's analysis and others reactions to Subhuman that the lyrics of the song clash with the otherwise good instrumental. Something else that's a problem is apparently there was a scandal with the singer of the song. I'm just going to leave it at that since it involves a minor. Yeah...

So, the battle themes of DMC is mainly metal or to my extent of understanding what is metal. For examples, DMC1's battle theme is Public Enemy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxGF7bJ-Lsg, and I'd say it's the style for battle themes that was kept to DMC4 and arguably DMC5 for Dante with it being refined as time went on. If you get a horror feeling from DMC1's soundtrack and from the series as a whole, then that makes sense since DMC1 started out as a concept for Resident Evil 4. That would also explain why Dante kind of looks like Leon Kennedy.

DMC2's first battle theme for Dante is Away: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiR09tD4wg0. DMC3's first battle theme is Taste the Blood: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9v-9BBiC0VU, and the second one is Divine Hate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtSGboNK3-E. Vergil has his own remixed versions which you can look up.

In DMC4, Dante's battle theme is Lock and Load: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqnLSKkA83Y, while Nero's is the infamous The Time to Come: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLBAFJWbd30, which the first half of the main theme Shall Never Surrender. As you can notice, Nero's theme is essentially the same in style as Dante's. It's not really a problem, but it's nice that they're giving Nero his own music style in DMC5 as evident with Devil Trigger being more electronic.

DmC's music was done by Combichrist and Noisia, so it's not DMC's metal, but it still has that feel in my opinion. There were comments asking for Combichrist to come back after they heard Subhuman.

If you want to play the games, then I'd say either go numerically or play chronologically, DMC3, DMC1, DMC4, and DMC2. Going numerically would let you experience the game's evolution in combat which is probably a more pleasant experience considering DMC2 is considered the weakest installment to the point where people pretend it doesn't exist. I played it, it's boring as all hell, but Dante's outfit in that game is probably my favorite and Lucia is apparently pretty fun to play, but I never got around to playing as her. That said, DMC2 in my opinion laid the foundation for DMC3's style system, introduced on the fly weapon switching even though it was limited to only switching ranged weapons since this game decided that you should only have one type of Devil Arm despite the first one having two, a sword and gauntlets; and it also introduced some signature moves for Dante that would be refined and made crazier in DMC3 such as Rain Storm and the ability to fire in two different directions that became one of the Gunslinger moves for Ebony & Ivory. So, it has its merits is what I'm trying to get at.

DmC is essentially the Ultimate universe of DMC. It's set in a different universe, has its own lore, style, etc. It is a divisive game for more reasons than gameplay, story, and presentation considering the messy way they handled labeling the game and Capcom's insistence on making it as radically different as possible and contracting a studio not really known for hack 'n' slash gameplay, but story. Combat-wise, DmC with Dante is closer to Nero's gameplay in DMC4 minus the Exceed system while Vergil's gameplay people have said is closer to DMC.

So, if you played and enjoyed games like Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and other similar games, then DMC would be up your alley.

Moving on to something else related to DMC, DMC5's animations are amazing. Look at this.

The new gauntlets and greaves weapon, Balrog, according to one user's comments in the thread from Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/DevilMayCry/comments/9hbxt3/dante_dodging_like_a_bawse/, and seems to be demonstrated in the trailer where the gif comes from, apparently has two modes: "Kick" and "Blow" where Kick focuses on long-ranged kicks and evasive maneveurs while Blow focuses on short-ranged, rapid attacks and being able to dodge in very close proximity to the enemy. If you want to break it down into martial arts, capoeira and boxing. I was too excited to notice how good the animations were when I watched the trailer. All I saw was "Damn, Dante and DMC5 and that looked cool."

Completely unrelated to this, Lil Puddin Lil Puddin , I see you with that Odin. :p

Considering you gave him Close Counter, have you considered giving him Swap? If you can reliably buff his defenses, especially +6 Def/Res, then Odin can easily take someone's place and fight on enemy phase with his natural bulk that will be buffed and having upwards to +6/+6/+6/+6 bonuses for his Grimoire which translates to +30 attack. Giving him Close Def 3 as his seal would help out too. Speaking of attack, despite Odin's low, unbuffed attack, with how -blade tomes work, he can reliably use Glimmer which means he can activate it every round of combat against someone who can counter attack and who he doubles.

Edit: That Suzaku boss theme from Final Fantasy XIV I talked about yesterday? Apparently Yoshino Nanjo, voice of Eli from Love Live! School Idol Project, voices the boss, another character named Krile Baldesion in the Japanese audio, and sings the song.

Yeah, you're right. But I'm happy that I'm slowly upgrading my armour, I just need to fight the Dreadking Rathalos a few more times, gonna aim for every piece of armour to reach Level 4 before I continue on with my HR Key Quests.

I basically need three more of these items:
- Dreadking II
- Dreadking III
- Dreadking IV

Which will allow me to level up my Dreadking Armour. Once I got them to again, Level 4; I'll proceed with my Key Quests and hopefully reach G Rank (I still got over 200 Horn Coins, which I think is from transferring all of my save data from Generations to Ultimate). I'll probably trade some so I can get myself some items to transform the look of my armour. Do I go with Wycademy, Moga, Sailor, Chakra or Yukumo Bath as the look? Hmm...

Also, I got myself SEGA AGES on Switch, only got Sonic The Hedgehog, since I'm curious whether we'll get other games on the Switch. Like Shining In The Darkness, Shining Force, etc. I also heard that we might be seeing titles from the Saturn and Dreamcast library come as well, which I'm all for.

I do hope Ace Attorney 7 does get revealed at TGS soon, I hope it'll look great; and curious on what the story will be about this time.

I'm getting around of it. He is a strong husbando and his partner is Dual Tactics Ike for ez 24stats. I need to add some merges before he can be used for T18+ stuff. Here's an easy way to talk you out of it! :^)

  • Garon is not even a husbando in his current state.
  • Garon is just a weird rehash of Nowi with a gimmicky weapon that can't be refined (even if "not weak to anti-dragon" is pretty cool, it's not consistently useful).
  • He is better used as Distant Def 3 fodder fodder, which is very hard to normally obtain and there's so many ranged tank gorls who would appreciate it.
  • Ultimately A!Tiki is the best red dragon because her Prf is anti-dragon with a nice gimmick/prf refine AND she comes with Lightning Breath+ and ofc she can actually be +10'd to become the ultimate Dragon Kween.
  • Garon can't even be +5'd at the very least. Even with his boosted bst it doesn't matter much. Sure he may eventually get duplicates, but that's a maybe-game.

I will admit though, despite being not-pretty, his art is the same level of bad*** as Zephiel. The only difference is Zephiel is still kinda handsome despite being bat**** crazy. TAKE NOTES POSSESSED GARON. JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE POSSESSED DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO LET YOURSELF GO OMFG F'REAL THO.

Now on to someone who is actually a husbando...

His C skill depends solely on how you plan to use him. For the most part you can do whatever you want for his C slot since he is a mage, but not one with Res to use any Ploys. So just pick any filler skill that works well with your team. If he is on a mixed team and you give him Summoner Support he can maybe run Panic Ploy or even Infantry Pulse with some effect... Namely on allies who don't use normal weapons that also give +5 hp when refined lol.

If you plan on using him as a normal attacker boi, you might want to let him take some damage and utilize Brazen Atk/Spd to keep his bulk. He's best used if in Desperation range anyway so you may as well give him a broken skill like Brazen. In all honesty he won't need Brazen to kill crap with his easy +6 atk/spd thing and Blade Tome being ez to make OP, but it's a high scoring skill and will just boost his deadliness even further for higher tiered arenas or stat-inflated content.

If you plan to use him as a Close Counter boi tho:
  • Try to keep his Seal Slot open for +3 spd or +2 atk/def if you're going for 1hko (it scores higher than +3 atk).
  • Atk Smoke for better tanking overall, which extends to your team.
  • Spd Smoke to make sure he does all ez doubles.
  • Res Smoke for easier 1 shots if you plan to use Vantage for ez destruction.

He already has CC (rip ToD!Joker) and I plan on giving him Def/Res Link, assuming that Bridal Sanaki is on next week's legendary banner. That way he can easily get and give +6 to all stats, which is basically just hone/fortify infantry lol. I do have some Suzukaze combat manuals lying around, so I guess I'll just give him Atk Smoke for right now. ty for ur help

also congrats on the +10 A!Tiki! I'm working on Zero right now, but I've been a bad gorl who hasn't been using ha feathers to promote merges. At the very least, I do have enough copies to get him to +10. I guess I should probably go add another merge to him since I do have 20k feathers.

If you ever decide to run Odin with an infantry buddy, Laevatein is possibly his best sword infantry buddy since she has a -blade blade. Otherwise, Eirika and legendary Marth and while there would be a color overlap, regular Ephraim with regular Siegmund. Flame Siegmund, Steady Breath shenanigans look fun, though.

Laevatein with her sword is basically a sword Lilina whose attack comes from field buffs rather than in combat buffs, but that doesn't stop her from being pretty dumb. =Atk Laevatein has 37 attack which becomes 56 with her sword that also gives +3 attack. With Odin Grimoire's Atk/Spd Link and her default Atk/Def Link, she gets +6/+6/+6 increasing her attack to 80 total attack. Her default Fury 3 raises that to 83. If you manage to get a +Atk Laevatein and can give her +6 to her resistance, then she'd have 59 total attack before buffs and 89 total attack with +6/+6/+6/+6 buffs. Her default Fury would give her 92 attack and replacing Fury for Death Blow 3 or 4 would let her have 95 or 97 attack. Someone said she hits the 99 attack cap because of this. The best parts are that this is unmerged Laevatein and Odin just needs his unique refined Grimoire and Def/Res Link to easily give her all the buffs she wants.

If you choose -Def or -Res as his bane, then he can run Infantry Pulse and Panic Ploy if you want. Granted, his HP will never be as high as a melee unit's HP since refining ranged weapons give +2 HP for stats refines and 0 HP for unique refines compared to +5 HP and +3 HP for physical units, but it is something he can do. The fun thing is he can give his daughter -2 special cooldown count on turn 1 by being a mage and having Infantry Pulse. Of course, you run into the issue of having two blue infantry mages on your team.

So, I got the wrong blade from the Muspell banner and Clair's going to be stuck at +6 merge until I can summon four more of her. That assumes I do spend the 20k feathers I'll have soon from Forging Bonds to give her another merge. Otherwise, she'll probably stay at +5 for the time being. I might do that since I summoned another 4* L'Arachel and she's +Spd, -HP where I feel like +Spd would be better for her than +Atk and -HP is better than -Def or -Res since her raw bulk can be improved through buffs. I hope that they let her refine Ivaldi so that defense boost actually helps her. Something like 30% damage reduction on the first hit of physical damage or +20 Def when initiating against melee units who can counter back like with Flora's Hoarfrost Knife. I'd like her to be my next merge project for funsies since I love that one of her regular attack lines is her laughing "HA-HA!", but I only have two of her so it's probably not going to happen over Athena, Cherche, Odin, Raven, Seliph, or even Mathilda or Bartre where I'm fine with Cherche and Odin being unmerged for now since their weapons are plenty strong.
4* Cordelia: +Def, -Spd.

5* Karel: +Spd, -HP. I'm leaning towards +Atk, so I'm probably going to keep him around to merge into a +Atk, not -Def Karel. Using him for Wo Dao+ or even Desperation doesn't seem worth it to me when Athena and Shanna exist and Karel when built with Nameless Blade is pretty good.

4* L'Arachel: +Spd, -HP.

3* Lilina: +Spd, -HP. Okay, so there is an argument for +Spd Lilina, but +Atk seems more practical since all you need for her is to hit really, really hard. Also, Celica and her dumb unique refined Ragnarok exists, so if I wanted a very hard hitting and fast red infantry mage, I'd go for her or bride Tharja instead.

3* Oscar: +HP, -Res.

3* Draug: +Res, -Atk.

3* Fir: +Res, -Def.

4* Palla: +Def, -Res.

3* M!Robin: +Def, -Res.

4* Stahl: +Spd, -Def.

So I looked up some stuff for Duel Links, since we're getting 5Ds in a few days.

And I heard some controversy that Yusei's Ace Monster "Stardust Dragon", is going to be a Main BOX UR, which seems rather insulting to be honest. I was hoping it'd be a Mini BOX, or a reward for unlocking Yusei, Aiza and Crow. smh

Now I dunno whether to spend the UR Dream Ticket on getting Stardust Dragon, Black Rose Dragon, or Sphere Kuriboh. Hmm... I'll wait and see what others say about this fiasco in future videos.

Also, I might go back to playing BBTAG. Since I haven't played it in a while thanks to Monster Hunter, since I do wanna clean the rust off and improve on my Gordeau some more (Though I'll probably try out Mika with him since someone in the BBTAG Discord suggested her). But I think the reason I haven't been playing it as much is because of Ruby Rose and Yang (Since I HATE those two characters), and probably the Instant Active Switch system being abused to hell. It ain't fun to fight against.

Speaking of Blazblue... Centralfiction is coming to Nintendo Switch! :yeahboi: I get to use Kokopuffs again after so long! This is gonna be good, and I'm hoping that she'll get into BBTAG. C'mon Mori! Gimme Kokonoe!

So, there was a stream of Dante's gameplay and story cutscenes for DMC5. The story part I'm going to put in spoilers and apparently IGN's first video of DMC5's gameplay had them, was taken down, and reuploaded without them, so there's that. By that, I mean it's not the player is simply spamming Stinger over and over or not using Rebellion's other combos or other weapons in general like with Gamespot's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9Yt-kjJyFA. One thing to note is that I think there are two different builds for the English and Japanese version. The English version doesn't have Subhuman as Dante's battle theme while the Japanese version does and in the boss fight for the demos. In another video with the boss fight, Dante wields Sparda, but in most of the videos he wields Rebellion. Sparda, like in the previous games, is basically a skin of Rebellion, Force Edge, and Alastor, but for Trish and for some moves, it does transform. Kind of a shame if this what it will be like in the final build, but it also makes sense why since Dante doesn't use Sparda much, instead, Trish does.

Dante still says his styles when you pick them and Rebellion's moveset is pretty much the same as to be expected. Nero's moveset for Red Queen is also the same except for the input for Split, his version of Helm Breaker. It's back + attack instead of forward + attack from what I remember reading. Anyway, related to Rebellion, what I love and was first shown off with Nero is that Dante and Nero keep their weapons out and sheathe and unsheathe them. It's a little neat detail that I loved seeing in Ninja Gaiden games where Ryu would do the same and after battles, he'll flick the blood of his enemies. Nero's wasn't as interesting since at the moment, Nero only has three confirmed weapons just like in DMC4: his Red Queen sword, Blue Rose double-barreled revolver, and Devil Breaker. That said, Nero does have reload animations for Blue Rose whenever he uses charge shot which people theorized is because Nero no longer has much of an ability to use his demonic power, so he's forced to actually reload and load explosive rounds for Blue Rose instead of relying on his Devil Bringer to charge his shots. Anyway, Dante on the other hand, you get to see Rebellion being kept out and Dante twirling Ebony & Ivory and Coyote-A where to holster them.

The gunplay looks awesome since you can dodge and shoot now. I don't remember seeing it with Nero, but Dante was shown doing it in the trailer and in some of the gameplay videos. They also incorporated DmC's horizontal startup of Rain Storm for Ebony & Ivory. In the previous DMC games, Dante would just shoot downwards giving it a very narrow hitbox while in DmC, Dante would fire around him first and then focus his fire directly below him. The only problem with DmC's version was that it was really, really slow. Almost like DMC2's version where Dante would flip upside and fire normally instead of the crazy, machinegun rate of fire he does starting in DMC3 onward. It looks even more ridiculous now which is awesome.

Balrog I have mixed feeling on. Perhaps it's just people not knowing or being shown the inputs, but the punch stance seems to only have one "combo" and by combo, I mean it's just a series of flicker jabs. It doesn't seem to have a three hit combo or anything else, but just a series of rapid attacks for its regular combos. Granted, considering it has two stances, that might make sense since you can combo from punch to kick and kick to punch let alone switching to a different Devil Arm like in the previous games. Otherwise, the punch stance has everything else, launcher, I think a dash forward attack, and chargeable moves. The best part for me is that it and the kick stance have aerial combos. In every DMC game, the gauntlet and greaves weapons don't have aerial combos. It's usually drop down attacks or in DmC, a drop down attack and a one hit dunk. In DMC5, Balrog has an aerial combo and a drop down attack in addition to whatever Swordmaster moves it will have in the air. The evasion move also looks fun since you can troll your enemies with it. The kick stance, however, looks like the previous gauntlet and greaves weapons, but if it just used kicks. The animations for it look amazing and Dante has a breakdance move.

Cavaliere seems to be the slow, hard-hitting Devil Arm that Dante hilariously is able to summon on command despite it being a freaking motorcycle. It also has armor which I don't remember any of the other weapons in DMC having, so that's neat. My favorite part about Cavaliere is how Dante gets it, but that'll be in the spoilers section.

The end of Dante's section has him fighting a boss called Cavaliere Angelo. You can guess what he gives Dante for a Devil Arm. Specifically on the "Angelo" part of his name, copies of Nelo Angelo are shown fighting Dante. Literal copies, so Dante is fighting mass produced copies of his brother Vergil when he was corrupted and brainwashed by Mundus. Except Mundus is dead by this point since DMC5 takes place after DMC4, years after DMC1, and DMC4 introduced the concept of Vergil's remains, well, Nelo Angelo's remains, being used to create artificial demons, the Bianco and Alto Angelos, that were posing as angels and guardians of Fortuna. There's also weaker versions of Nelo Angelo who use a sword and shield in contrast to Nelo Angelo using a large greatsword. It's both cool and kind of disturbing since while Dante tends to be unfazed by a lot of things, I don't know how he would feel about fighting mass produced copies of his own brother and when Vergil was arguably at the lowest point of his life for Dante as a mindless puppet of the enemy of mankind and his father.

Cavaliere Angelo is introduced by him throwing a motorcycle at Dante who cuts it in half. There's a thread on Reddit theorizing that the motorcycle is actually Dante's motorcycle from DMC2 which if it's true, well that sucks and is kind of karmic with what happens to Cavaliere Angelo. The boss is revealed to have a naked Trish inside of him which suggests, like with the other Angelos, she was powering him. This would further be reinforced with Cavaliere Angelo using lightning which Trish is associated with as her element. Before this is revealed, Dante cuts off the boss's face and it lands near the ruined motorcycle and starts to fuse with it and that gives Dante an idea to get Trish out by slashing the boss in a way that looks incredibly dangerous since if he screws up, Trish would probably die. Well, she doesn't and fragments of Cavailiere Angelo fuse with the motorcycle's remains and gives him a new Devil Arm. Yep, Dante went Michael Bay Optimus Prime on the boss and made his own Devil Arm by literally destroying a boss whose remains somehow fuse with a motorcycle. It's dumb, it's DMC, and it's awesome.

The demo's final cutscene ends with Dante riding off on his motorcycle and telling V to take care of Trish. V tries to stop Dante to talk to him, but falls over. V's cane and him falling over has people thinking he really needs to the cane to move around and it's not just a weird thing he has or for combat. This is a bit weird since the leaked prologue showed V being capable of climbing and jumping, but it just might be running and moving quickly that he has problems with. His bird thing follows Dante, though. Also, apparently Trish can regenerate her clothes because magic.

That ends my DMC5 spiel, so now we move onto Kingdom Hearts III.

Test that uthrow! Let's get those kill percents. Also see if uthrow is the new combo throw.
Test if Utilt comboes into kill moves at high percents, and it's anti airing ability.

Still, we know a lot about Zelda but none of her less sassy low-tier friends. I want more info on Robin, Palutena, and WFT. But first... I'd totally love to learn how strong Kween Zelda's UThrow is. Like, what kill percents. Maybe also try to see if fast-fall-Nair leads into some combos/traps. Or at the very least if Nair can land into something safe that she can do and then back out. Any Phantom shenanigans/Din shenanigans would be nice too.

Can you choose Splatoon's stages too? I kinda wanna know what tracks they have. If they don't have Fly Octo Fly I will be very sad.

Dude has a similar effect to possessed Takumi. For those who keep all the Garons currently available, once his rerun comes up, they can have a 4 Garon team where if they time and position everything properly, they would be able to inflict 40 damage to enemies within 3 space of them. Possessed Takumi would be a bit easier to use, though, since Skadi's effect range is a 3 space column centered on him and he is only weak to -raven mages and Poison Dagger thieves. Anyway, of the freebie units, I feel like Garon might be more comparable to an infantry version of Zephiel who traded health, defense, and access to Wary Fighter for resistance and 2 movement. Garon's default kit is also more practical as he'd be able to use Dragon Fang, Distant Def, and Panic Ploy for any situation while people tend to drop Zephiel's L&D3 unless they really need him to hit certain HP thresholds for Reprisal.

I like that they are trying to diversify the Zelda series by using designs from various Zelda games instead of sticking to Twilight Princess. Plus the new Zelda is much cuter than the miss no fun Twilight Zelda.

Got back to playing BBTAG yesterday, and it was pretty much inactive. But I can sort of understand why, CEOtaku is happening this weekend. I did watch a bit of UNIST, BBCF and GGXrd.

But mostly watched some BBTAG. (And real talk; Jubei's theme "STAND UNRIVALED", is great. Don't @ me.)

I'll be disappointed if either a Yang or Ruby wins CEOtaku, just because I hate fighting them. :secretkpop:

Omg u are our savior queen THANK YOU, could u please try and see if fully charged phantom > opponent shields > teleport into them is in any way a viable shield break?? I got it once in Smash 4 and almost peed myself but now that phantom is delayed and teleport is a bit faster HMMMM, thanks tho girl

I like that they are trying to diversify the Zelda series by using designs from various Zelda games instead of sticking to Twilight Princess. Plus the new Zelda is much cuter than the miss no fun Twilight Zelda.

btw it is weird there's no Hilda alt but maybe they plan on making her a Zelda echo for whatever reason. Or they don't want to reference a one-shot character with a costume and will just make Hilda a trophy instead.

So I decided to look and see which characters in Smash do not have projectiles for whatever reason. :V

And these were the characters that have no projectiles!:

A lack of projectiles is probably intentional for most of those characters. After all, most are swordsmen, or rely on physical power in their own games. Jigglypuff could use a projectile though.

Catching up with what I missed of CEOtaku last night.

And one player in UNIST named Trill is having his flag changed constantly. Which is hilarious.

It started off as a star, then a flag of Mongolia, then Wakanda, Thanos from Fortnite, the flag from Sailor Moon and then it changed to Joey Wheeler!

Hiari had his flag changed from Sweden to IKEA. :secretkpop: (Squish had his flag changed from USA to Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura. God, I love CEOtaku.)
