Is it just me or are the special map units repeating? Yesterday was Virion who I forgot to finish so I could get some extra SP for main Virion and today is Hana. The day I started playing Heroes had these units show up in order. Not sure who's next. I think it might have been Wrys. If it ends up being -- what was it again --, some units that I don't remember, Lissa, Olivia, Stahl, and Sophia, before going back to Virion, then I think it's set to loop. Probably a monthly thing and probably stated somewhere.

Anyway, Frederick's unusually frail compared to in Awakening. This concerns me since he's only slightly stronger than Jagen who boasts a strong resistance and 1 less defense -- 15 to Frederick's 14. Hinata while not someone who I care for has proven himself as a very physically durable swordsman. Pretty much a Barst or Bartre. Laslow's attack is stupidly high compared to his average and above-average other stats. This could have been you, Alfonse -- with a Silver Sword, Laslow's attack would be 33 to Alfonse's 34 and he's 2 levels behind Alfonse's. Of the 3* sword users I have, he's the top candidate for spending feathers to promote over Alfonse, Hinata, and Lon'qu. Sophia's speed still holds her back, but she's doing fine.

You may have gotten a -DEF bane Frederick, then. He's supposed to be the physical bulky version of Jagen. So which swordie would you prefer between Hinata and Laslow? IDK, but if it went by personality it'd be Hinata. He sounds like a qtpie and also has meaty arms. So das nice. Yee.

And it's good there's looping special maps for obtaining more Heroes. That means I can get a +2 4*Olivia with a little bit of grinding. She's not a bad unit at all, but on the frail side like Azura. But with some added stats I could easily see her being a great utility unit who can actually stay alive/do stuff if she gets caught.

Yeah the special maps have been on a set cycle from the beginning. They actually list it in a tips notification:

3 repeats and more sword units. Where the hell are the other red mages!? Last I remember, Fir's balanced but speed-focused, so she's going to compete with Lon'qu and Selena. Good luck with that. Hey, at least your dad's around unlike Lucina. At this point, I don't even care that I have her and as a 5*. I need another red mage, another blue unit, a blue mage, more calvary and flyers, and Felicia, Jeorge, Setsuna for grey units that I'd want. The repeats got merged. Here's hoping if I summon the 6th time, I get a blue mage and another, non-repeat blue unit -- Cordy and Sully would be nice. The others, hopefully not repeats, but it would be nice to have Felicia, Jeorge, Kagerou, Setsuna, etc.

When I look at Frederick's stats, outside of his 26 attack at level 20, his 16 defense, 14 speed, and 10 resistance looks shaky compared to level 21 Jagen's 22 attack and resistance, 15 defense, and 13 speed. Both are pretty frail, but at least Jagen's magic resistant.

SerenesForest currently lists 2 variations for Frederick, one that has 1 attack for 1 less resistance, and 3 variations for Jagen: https://serenesforest.net/fire-emblem-heroes/heroes/3-star-stats/. Both have similar base defense -- 7 for Freddy and 6 or 7 for Jag --, so I'm guessing both are unusually frail for Great Knights. For comparison, Gunter's low defense variation starts at 9 defense for 5 resistance with high at 11 for 3 resistance.

With how I talk about Hinata and Laslow, you could guess who I'd pick.

• The Arena is as fun as OW's 1v1 mode but you actually need to play it to get feathers
• Feathers are like comp points, but if the golden weapon that you buy with them has better stats and better/new abilities
• Takumi is Hanzo if he was viable and actually really good
• Hector is Reinhardt
• Sakura is Mercy
• Clarine is Zenyatta but a gorl
• Marth is like Marth, that 1 guy from Smash
• Lyn is Tracer with a sword
• Summoning=Selling your soul to buy loot boxes, and what's in the boxes is still random
• Zelda's Everlasting Presence is still felt in the game

Also watching Vinny from Vinesauce play Super Monkey Ball 2 is giving me nostalgia. I played that game quite a bit as a kid, especially the Challenge Stages and the Party Games with my sister.

She's still bitter over something hilarious that happened in Monkey Race 2. She was close to the finish line, I had the homing missile power up. I hit her with it, sent her upwards on the spot and I stole first place from her. Greatest achievement in SMB2.

Said it before, but yeah, Frederick and Jagen are unusually frail. Can't help it and the only option would be to get Gunter since I don't think there's any other axe cavalry. Otherwise, Beruka, Camilla onee-sama, and Cherche. For Jagen, there's Abel and Sully -- would prefer Sully -- or Cordelia and the other lance Pegasus Knights Est, Florina, and Shanna. I'm guessing that Cordy will be fast, but frail; used Est and she's a glass cannon -- basically a stronger, but more fragile Jagen -- and having played Blazing Sword, Florina's probably going to be really squishy. Not sure about Abel and Shanna and I can't remember Sully's stat layout.

Anyway, Cress! , how is Oboro as a unit? Might consider smug waif as a blue unit I want.

Sophia is so slow that, assuming both are level 40 5 stars, Hector doubles her if either she has a speed lowering nature or he has a speed increasing nature.

Hector, you know that big dude in armor that swings that overcompensating Armads Axe? Yeah he has a slow 23 speed. Sophia has 19 speed.

Sophia is a sad, sad character (But she is determined to be my 4 star mage)

OMG SO THIS WEEKEND I WAS HANGING OUT WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS AND ONE OF MY FRIENDS BROUGHT UP OVERWATCH. Freddy doesn't have "Pick a god and pray" for his activate skill line. He has something about your last breath and for Chrom. Meh.

Now, for something different: walk animations. Kolin's back walk. Look at it.

She looks more like a pro-wrestler than R. Mika and Zangief do. She and Juri have my favorite back walks in SFV and Juri's forward walk is awesome too. Meanwhile, goon-looking Nash with his forward and back walk. Back to Kolin, I like how she shares Ryu's idle stance style where it starts off as a regular fighting stance which for hers is a grappling stance and then she shifts to an upright stance where she has her back hand held up. I don't know how to describe it other than condescending or a standing version of Luong's crouch.

I feel like her attack boost ability is broken. When it procs, it raises everyone's attack by 4 for that turn. And heals whoever you chose. So you can pretty much be losing then destroy everyone on player phase, especially if you have a Brave weapon

Although Symmetra is good, she is rendered useless if you know her tricks and patiently go around them. You can pretty much just taunt her forever outside her short range and she can't do anything about it... Just like Zelda! Symmetra = Indian Zelda still confirmed.

I'm excited to get the evo items for forgot sunflora required one tbh.

It evolved into a 2353cp with Zen Headbutt / Psychic (which was buffed to 100 power no less) It looks legit flawless. (capped at 2479cp) BAN•ESPEON

There's also Mrs. Lovett. Calvary lancer, as good as a 4* as Ephraim is as a 5*, makes the best meat pies in all of London.

Sry bby about the rougher hunts. If I could I would ship some of my interesting spawn to yew even if I had to lose them. (Unless it's Chansey. Those are mine secretkpop)

One thing I was considering is which Pokémon would be surprisingly elusive in gen 2 pogo, even if they're weak. (Porygon, Tangela, and Lickitung were prime gen 1 examples. They didn't even come from 10km eggs, which made them uniquely obscure.)

My bets are on being uncommon as hex, despite being 5km egg candidates and generally underpowered.

Also is allegedly gonna be 10km egg Pokémon if its traditional in-game step counts apply. That'll be weird.

Kindled-Fire Balm? Lissa has that too, except Lissa's heal spells could be considered not as good; Reconcile heals 7 to her and the patient and Rehabilitate heals at a min. 7 HP or more if you're below -- basically the Curasa spells from FF XIII. Checked Elise's skills and she has Live to Serve like Wrys, so yeah, Elise can heal herself regardless while her patient is healed for a straight 10 HP with Mend or 15 HP with Recover for a +1 penalty to her Special cooldown. Then again, Lissa can always recover HP with Renewal, so she doesn't have to rely on healing someone else to actually heal herself and survive. Wow, Elise and Lissa basically have the same skills, but Elise is a Troubadour, a mounted unit, while Lissa is an infantry. Personally, I like Lissa better.

Let's see, Elise and Lissa have +Atk for their special, Azama +Def, Serra +Speed, and Wrys has a heal 10 all other units. Checked Clarine who also has a +Speed like Serra and Maria's is Miracle. Okay, this is weird, but I think that should have been a regular skill that randomly or has a low chance to activate instead of a Special since Imbue is definitely way better which is stupid since I think every healer has Imbue. Cool, was wondering if there was a +Res. It's Sakura who has it.

Unrelated to this: today was right leg day. Long story short, I drive manual, I hold the clutch in a lot even when I could put the car in neutral for stops, but I'm lazy and it's slow for traffic, so, my left leg is noticeably stronger than my right. Messes with moving around for martial arts and daily life since I'm basically imbalanced. Instructor said to try to work out only my right leg for exercises that don't use both legs like lunges. Man, I'm probably gonna walk with a limp tomorrow. It really needs work, though. There's a problem when in boxing and other martial arts and you can't strafe towards your opponent's back. Against unorthodox, southpaw fighters, I can easily go towards their back, but against most people who are right-handed? I'm literally walking into punches if I choose to strafe the other way and I'm constantly stuck like a duck when I can't move to dodge punches. Gotta take them, block, or constantly back up which is a terrible habit. Also, basically forced to become an unorthodox fighter for the mean time to actually learn how to move properly instead of compensating for being unable to move at all.
