My sister is visiting for a few days starting today, so I'll be trying to get as much work as I can done today, starting off with my 500 Word Essay for the first part of my Uni work.
Also, I've decided to download BSD (Beefy Smash Doods) Custom Stages to help practice some of the more common tech, such as Shield Dropping, Ground/Wall Teching, Trumping and Mashing (Though I do think I've already gotten the hang of mashing when I got my Shield broken and escaping grabs). The problem is I always seems to turn away from my opponent and do something like a Special or Tilt after I mash out of a grab. :V
So this morning in pogo I caught a few new catches:
Also got
(As repeats)
Super surprising lot tbh. A quick check suggests + are also supposed to be 10km egg Pokémon, so they'd likely be rare too...? The Sudowudo had 82%+ IVs (2 perfect stats) and Rock throw / Earthquake, so it seems amazingly solid. Shame it probably isn't that strong in general.
I'm also seeing reports that Blissey will basically break gyms, and can stall out 2+ Pokémon to their deaths. Did I mention it can have 3000cp?

I have 21 orbs. Against my better judgement, I might summon. Should probably wait or save up another 20 for the eventual Tellius update. I have no idea what color Micaiah would be if she makes it in. Light Mage who was made into a Dark Mage in Awakening and most Dark Mages minus Odin are red units. Anyway, later with Ffamran: More Rage.
Also, the x1.5 EXP event is nice. 5* Lucina's attack is busted; she starts out with 24 attack.
She's got lots of utility all over the place. Heavy Spear does extra damage to armored units (so basically Effie dies to you), Seal Defense is fun, her stats are all well-rounded so it's fine to just throw her out to have a magic user attack her to proc Seal Def. Threaten Resistance is also handy if you have magic units, I like to use it by having a Dragon stone user nearby to attack them after lowering their Res, then also using Rally Defense to make said unit take less damage as well. Her speed feels average so you'll double a lot of slower units, but get doubled by a lot of faster units. Oboro also doesn't have to deal with the 1 space movement Effie has (I'm comparing Oboro and Effie a lot since the 2 are usually mentioned together, both being great spear users).
A friend just told me that the anime me and Ffamran
have talked a bit about before NEW GAME!. Is getting a second season. I'm really happy with this announcement.
I wonder if it'll be them working on DLC for the game they worked on, or if its a new project they got. Oh and more Kou x Rin please.
Also, if its not called "NEW GAME+!", I'm going to be very disappointed.

I managed to get a preorder myself from a game store that's a few towns away. They even allowed me to chose which accessories I want to go with my Switch too. Only ask for BotW (Standard Edition) and the JoyCon Grip. As much as I'd love to get the Masters Edition, I won't have any room for the statue.
Well, technically the most recent things official artworks are from Cipher and the Tellius Book Vol. 2 (in both cases she is just using her same clothes of FE10, the "biggest" difference is that she has a slightly more matured body, slightly bigger breasts and slighly more defined hips)
I think that's more to do with Awakening not having any unique models done for the guests like Ike and Roy were made into Heroes, Ephraim a Great Knight, Hector was a General, and Marth was a Lucina clone. Fates on the other hand had unique models including Frederick being his own unique Great Knight. Anyway, some of it works like Ike being a Hero, so he has access to both axes and swords and he was a Hero in Radiant Dawn or Lyn being a Swordmaster, but the others don't like why a slow Great Knight who uses axes, lances, and swords instead of a faster, lance and sword-using Paladin for Ephraim. The biggest offender would be Micaiah, a Light Mage in her original game made into a a Dark Mage. Wut. Why not a recolored Sage or even a Mage? That would have been fine, but nope, a Dark Mage.
My concern is what color she will be if they go with her being a Light Mage. Blue would make sense for me mostly because outside of M!Robin, Odin, and Ursula and ghetto mages F!Corrin and Nowi, I don't know if there's any other blue mages. I think Green has the most with ghetto mages Fae and just got Julia while red has Henry, Leo, Raigh, Sophia, Tharja and ghetto mages kid and adult Tiki. Anyway, blue having Thunder tomes -- lightning -- could work with a Light Mage. It would also go with how Light Magic (blue) -- as far as how I know Blazing Sword and Binding Blade works -- beats Dark Magic (red) which beats Anima Magic (green) -- regular mages -- which beats Light Magic (blue).
Edit: Just checked out 9-5. The main red unit has insane defense, but poor resistance. I have no blue mages and the only red mages I have are slow as sin; Sophia and Tiki. Tiki has the most realistic chance of killing him, but her resistance sucks and there's 2 mages, one blue and one green that does enough damage to bypass Tiki's weapon advantage. Dammit, game.
you have to remember that they had to work in those characters into awakening classes including their clothes there is no light mage in awakening so they made her a dark mage because of Celica from Gaiden was a mageand they needed a dark mage.
I'm sure the leader of the fail brigade will be better represented in heroes now that she can be a mage since in that game mages can be anything. Even her Sacrifice Skill is in Heroes in the form of Reciprocal Aid.
Welp, back to the drawing board again. Jagen's outright useless for 9-5 since the red units are all physical and hit harder than him with weapon advantage and Subaki's kind of useful, except he's not strong enough compared to Est -- the Eliwood curse. I dare not bring in Gwendolyn who would be surrounded and most likely murdered on the spot and Sharena's way too fragile to both physical and magic. The stupid thing is that Odin would be perfect for this chapter. Blue mage with Tomebreaker who is apparently well-rounded, but speedy. In other words, he'd murder the low resistance sword units and give the blue and green mages a big middle finger. My only choice right now is to brute force the level my red units and maybe a green or blue. Probably will need to be at least 2 levels above the level thingie.
Speaking of Odin, I remembered something that I thought about for FE Warriors. While Odin / Owain isn't really an important character and he's not a lord, he would be an interesting unit considering he's canonically shown as both a Myrmidon and a Dark Mage. Dude is guaranteed two different weapons. Problem: Robin could have a sword and magic set or work them together, Lyn would definitely be the Myrmidon of choice if not, then Ryoma, and for Dark Mage or magic in general, Micaiah if it's limited to lords and ladies and if not, Henry, Leo, Lyon, Tharja, etc. That said, a character who could have vastly different play styles would be him and Lyn since she gains access to bows when she is promoted to a Blade Lord in Blazing Sword. The others like Chrom, Ike, Hector, etc. end up with other physical weapons.
Another note, Sophia reminds me of hilariously dark and depressing characters. Something about her being all lethargic, talking slowly and how she's been sheltered and stuff, and the "darkness" just reminds me of that. And with dark and depressing humor, it's usually really sad. Why are you so slow? If only you could double the units since you're barely OHKO'ing them...
Edit: Oh, a page steal. Was going to edit to add in that I just found out about Uyama Hiroto who apparently collaborated with Nujabes when Nujabes was alive. Also, he did a remix of Final Fantasy IV's Theme of Love.

Sophia is literally the slowest character in Heroes right now honestly i think she's probably the worst mage in the game because of her awful speed and effectless weapon along with a magic stat that is high but not high enough to kill anybody
Lilliana is basically what you Sophia but more specialized to be an actual mage

Oboro is one of the better Blue Units that doesn't die in 1 turn. Cordelia is amazing too, but oh-so-frail. Flying and Mounted units with Brave Weapons are pretty much S tier even with crappy stats - as Thirsty4Chrom Waifu demonstrates. With the Triangle Advantage Passive, she can become a Red-Killer and Red-Tanker too.
I also found Shanna to be the best of the flyers besides Cordelia. She doesn't die in 1 turn and her Killer Lance + speed ensure she uses her skill at least once a turn.
You probably have the voice of a goddess-gorl to most people, maybe??? IDK tho. The only voice for me is YandereDev's voice. And Hunkrat's voice. And Patrick Seitz's voice. And Matt Mercer's voice. And like 50% of the guys who speak in games I play.
Speaking of Matt Mercer, he is the voice of Barst and McCree. So that means Lumberjack Bara Husbando is secretly related to Cowboy Bara Husbando. Therefore Barst is the worst unit you could possibly have on your team, but at least he looks and sounds top tier.

Do you think if Pokemon Go releases the 3rd generation of Pokemon, that the SmashBoards will finally be compelled to add 3rd Generation Pokemon to the Smilies Selection?
Otherwise nobody will be able to talk about what they caught in PoGo. :^)
I used 4* Lilina as my red unit for a while (only stopped using her because I got 5* Tiki), and she was pretty good. She's more of a glass cannon in that she hits like a nuke, but crumbles like wet tissue paper when attacked. She does have some cool skills like giving adjacent units +4 attack and that fire thing that damages enemies before she actually attacks

Why would you use Matt Mercer's Barst when you can use Matt Mercer's McCree? McCree would totally sing to M!Corrin F!Corrin way better than Barst could. Truestory. He can sing with his abs probably. That's a thing, right? Then again it's a fanfic, so you can make things do anything!

Sophia has a weird design, it's technically a Res Tank, compared with Lilina she exchanges Atk and Spd for HP/Def/Res (something that even happens in the original game), but having meh speed growth with a bad base isn't a good idea in Fire Emblem, specially when the rest of your stats (except Res) have bad bases.
Sophia seem that she'll always suffer of overlap of lack of an useful focus.

honestly if they bumped her speed to 23 or so she would still be slow but now she won't die despite having a decent defense stat because she gets doubled by everything or if they just gave her a command skill hell it could be rally res to keep with the res theme but right now all that she's good for is softening characters and laughing at merric and nino

You want to know what's sadder? Frederick is barely beating her in speed -- 13 to her 11 -- and has crappier stats all around. He's 1 level behind, but he's been mediocre at best while Sophia at least manages to kill stuff without dying and is durable against something. Apparently, level 24 Hawkeye has the same defenses, 19 def and 23 res, as level 26 Sophia, but, y'know, he's actually strong, has Death Blow, and is average in speed, 14.
Had a round of training where I brought in Anna and Frederick. I expected Anna who was 2 levels behind when I did that to inexplicably die due to poor decisions. Frederick died instead. When a Great Knight who is known for having good defense and for being a beast in his home game makes me concerned will die whenever and wherever due to anything, especially physical attacks over a glass cannon, resistance-only Anna, then there's something seriously wrong. At this point, I think my Frederick has all stats bane since Anna is doing more damage and looks more durable than him.
I brought Barst along and he looked like a MVP. Barst's defense is higher than Frederick's; Barst wears clothing, so he isn't armored! Frederick might as well strip down to his freaking suit and his defense would drop by 1 with how his crappy armor has been doing for defense. He barely managed to survive the next training map -- 4* Lissa is such a godsend. He had 1 HP after getting pummeled by two units. One of which by all means should have been dead when he attacked, but guess who isn't strong enough to close out the kill? Frederick. Naga, damn it all. Frederick, why!?
On the topic of Matt Mercer, I find it interesting how the guy who sometimes covers for Troy Baker -- Mercer voices Kanji in the Persona 4 anime after Baker had to stop for some reason -- and does similar roles -- cowboys -- can also sing. Baker is part of a band from what I remember and has sung for games like Bioshock: Infinite and Shadows of the Damned. Not sure about Mercer other than FE: Fates.
Been out to the coffee shop with my sister and her friend, we talked mostly about work, video games and what is currently going on so far. Also, I heard from her friend that her sister plays MvC3 (Sadly, the vanilla version). My sister pointed to me and said "He played Marvel". So both me and her were invited over, played some MvC3 where I bodied her sister because my sister's friend was always beaten by her, I had to use Wesker/Iron Man/Doom because Hsien-Ko wasn't unlocked and Hulk doesn't have his f.M. But I managed to get Iron Man's flight combo down and even Doom's B&B Corner Combo too. Finished it off by going Sentinel and just out right destroyed her. (If it was UMvC3 they had, I would've been fine with how the characters were updated.)
Also played Halo Reach with my sister when we were over. I honestly didn't give a damn about the story, I was just running around and meleeing our teammates and killing each other too. But I had fun.
Yep, against my better judgement... Guess what? More axe units!
Two duplicates and one was in the same summon. Well, at least 4* Gunter is strong and what I wanted from Frederick, but his resistance sucks -- I think I got the Gunter who has lower res for defense.
Beruka is fine -- she'll be my female Solid Snake --, but I think she's suffering from what Frederick is suffering: being surrounded by 4* and a 5* axe units. Cecilia managed to bypass this as my first green mage and the only other green mage. That and she and Gunter are among more (axe) units with crappy resistance. Makes sense for her since she's a Wyvern Rider.
Jakob as a 4* thief is spoiling me. So strong. Probably going to promote Gaius in the future. Also, the way Jakob is drawn reminds me of Tokyo Ghoul. In particular, he reminds me of Tooru Mutsuki.
I am not summoning again until Ike and hopefully a blue mage Micaiah is released and / or I have an excess of 40 orbs. I just want Cordelia and Odin or any lance unit that can brute force against high defense or a blue mage. This suffering and influx of green units has to stop.
Maybe because we're so focused on the Top Tier Characters, the character that were Top Tier in other games, and the characters with the most evident changes to buff them (the Yoshi's changes are more... subtle, appearance-wise)
Aww. Welp, as I anxiously wait. I love this scene. It's so cute.
Anyway, Square Enix gave some updates on the FF VII remake, FF XIV, and KH3. FF VII remake's first boss and UI were shown. Reminds me of FF XV / Versus XIII's early screenshots where they had the Kingdom Hearts command menu. Siliconera notes that apparently you can see an ATB bar. An action RPG with a ATB or timed command system that I can remember off the top of my head would be Xenoblade which I've never played, but have seen in action. Article: http://www.siliconera.com/2017/02/1...st-gameplay-image-including-first-boss-fight/.
KH3 just got a screenshot of a new boss and Sora in his Guard Form which has him use a shield for a weapon.
For me, I find it interesting how his Guard Form is colored yellow which reminds me of Terra who is more of a glass cannon by the end of Birth By Sleep and uses a shield for a weapon like Goofy who also wears some yellow and green -- earthy colors. By default, Sora's outfit is usually red or has red highlights and he's often more aggressive and physical. Pretty sure they said a while back he would have a Power Form which is probably a revamped Valor Form. I've a feeling Sora will have a magic-based form and it'll be blue. He might use guns like in the early gameplay footage and like in Wisdom Form, but it would be neat if he used a staff or wand instead to reference Donald. Article: http://www.siliconera.com/2017/02/1...est-screenshot-shows-sora-taking-giant-enemy/.
There's one thing I wonder about and wished for and it's the ability to place your units before starting a map. It probably shouldn't be a thing for arena since you would always have positional advantage, but for singleplayer, it would be nice. Some maps give you space to move about which only takes turns, but others don't and you can get rushdowned or screwed because all the disadvantaged units are next to the units with weapon advantage and the others are somewhere else.
The other thing: I wished you could guarantee a color for summoning. So, first summon lets you pick whatever color while the rest randomly chosen. It could be abused e.g. constantly re-rolling a grey orb for Takumi or whatever, but it would be nice to have the choice while summoning to guarantee a color to patch up a weak part of your army. Main reason I say this is because I would have loved it if I could guarantee a blue orb was there. It could be a duplicate, it could be a unit that I don't want or care for, but at least one blue orb showed up.
Since the fifth summon had duplicates leaving me with Fir and Lucina as the only level 1 units and the sixth summon was able to add in 3 more level 1 units, was able to train them a bit more smoothly instead of having some random +20 unit hang out with them. Unsurprisingly, 5* Lucina makes 3* Fir look bad. Fir's been leveling in a different way than the last save; her defense isn't as good, but her resistance is all right. She's supposed to be a more durable, but slower and weaker Lon'qu. Lucina is just broken, that's all I'll say.
3* Beruka's solid. Her defense being high actually made me not fear archers. The one weird thing is that her speed is kind of slow which is weird considering the other Wyvern Riders in the game are bigger than her and/or heavily armored. That goes for Camilla, Cherche, Minerva, Narcian, and maybe others that I don't know of. If and when we get villain/boss units, then there's Ashnard. She's tiny. Why is she not fast? Meanwhile, Camilla with Darting Blow. As I was typing this, I just checked her average stats and she's the slowest Wyvern Rider; the fastest in order are Minerva (38), Narcian (29), Camilla (27), and Cherche (25). Tiny Beruka's average speed is 23. I'm guessing that in terms of assassination, she's probably the one trying to move as fast and quietly as possible. So, not that fast, but silent which is weird considering she's riding a freaking wyvern. In terms of skills, Lunge is probably the last thing I will get for her as a 3*. I feel like I will end up screwing myself over by attacking someone and have her swap behind them and getting surrounded by the enemy's friends.
4* Gunter... Wow. He's ridiculously strong and physically durable. The saddest thing is that -- if I recall correctly -- at level 16, his stats were on par or even beating some of level 25 Frederick's. Granted, he has a Silver Axe, but his other stats aren't getting any help aside from defense with Armored Blow. Currently at level 19 and without weapons, both tie at 21 attack. The only stats Gunter loses to Frederick is HP -- 27 to 30 -- and resistance by 1 point -- 10 to 11. Otherwise, he beats Frederick in defense by 2 points -- 23 to 21 -- and speed by 1 -- 14 to 13. Frederick, you're losing to an old man.
4* Jakob is really strong physically and is fast enough to double a lot. Kind of reminds me of Jeorge, except more frail and more creepy looking. Seriously, the way Fujisaka Kimihiko drew Jakob, especially his combat portrait's face and eye reminds me of Tooru Mutsuki.
At a certain point in :re, Mutsuki looks like this and Jakob's combat portrait face just reminds me of it.
Anyway, Gunter and Jakob are examples of units that as 4* or units of a higher * e.g. a 3* vs. a 2*, they're significantly more powerful than comparable units at 3*. Makes sense, but there are counterexamples like 2* Sharena starts out fine, but 3* is kind of crappy or how 3* Lazlow is pretty good and can keep up with 4* red units. There's also the examples of units who just struggle regardless like Virion from 2* to 3* is crappy. He just lacks the skills he needs to do damage (Night Sky) or be really useful (Seal Speed). In my opinion, 4* Roy wasn't that great either, but it's probably because the first one I got had terribly defense and resistance level ups. And of course, there are units who are just there like Anna. She doesn't seem to get any worse or any better. So, my issue now is who and why should I promote a unit.
In the case of green units, all of them are good, but there's just so many of them -- I hate you, game. The only one that would make sense is Beruka since she's the only Wyvern Rider and while it would be nice to promote Frederick and hope he's better as a 4* unit and make use of Gunter's Hone Calvary skill, Gunter does everything I need for an axe cavalry along with every other axe unit doing everything I need. I don't have any 3* axe infantry other than Anna and Cecila's fine even though being a 4* would be helpful -- I have Merric for that. Red units already have Lucina and Selena for amazing sword units and Hinata, Laslow -- top candidate for promotion --, Lon'qu, and probably Fir are good and can keep up, Tiki's great, and while slow as sin, Sophia's my only 4* red mage. Colorless is pointless; I don't really need nor want another 4* healer -- Lissa's doing an amazing job so far --, I don't have another archer other than the ever so "amazing" Virion, and I think resources could be used for other more useful units than Gaius and Matthew. That leaves the damned section: the blue units. I think promoting any or all of them will be a lose-lose situation. Gwendolyn's slow and is used more for tanking physical attacks which 9-5 is more about magic and one powerful physical unit, Jagen's not that particularly strong and isn't useful for 9-5 since he's not strong enough to do any significant damage, Sharena's apparently going to still be frail, so there's that, and Subaki's all-around good, but like all the 4 blue units I have, but Sharena, he doesn't do enough damage at times, especially in 9-5 against high defense sword units -- maybe Sapphire Lance can fix that. There's also the issue of how all of them, except Jagen, have average to poor resistance. Have fun dying to Veronica, everyone...
