Luigi's D special has auto link angles that cause that semi spike to happen (if he lands the last hit of it, it will send opponents up and out instead), the doc instead just has more hitboxes that aren't auto link. In other words it's easier to connect with doc off stage but it won't semi spike like that
Doc's has autolink hitboxes too actually, but I've never seen it used to spike which is why I was wondering.

Well I just checked the Doc spin shop and it has 4 hit boxes before the final hit with angles of 90, 90, 180 and 180 with the final two hitboxes being an angle of 45. Am I missing something here?

Edit: they should make his final hit box an angle of 270 that would be so godlike

Jesus Christ. Pacman needs more killing options. His b-air should hit so much harder :/. My boyfriend is trying to main him but I find him increasingly disappointed at how I get to 180% and none of his attacks actually inflict considerable knockback.

EDIT: I think you were looking at the grounded version of Dr. Tornado. Neither Luigi Cyclone nor Dr. Tornado use autolink angles in their grounded versions.

Fun fact: Falco's Utilt's first hit's final frame has a hit angle of 270 and deals 3% unlike the other frames dealing 4% which usually leads to the second hit's 5%. So, technically, Falco has 3 meteors: aerial Falco Phantasm, Dair, and Utilt. The problem is that it's probably so janky, has little range, or something. So, it's probably useless as a meteor.

226-229 are grounded downB 1, 2, and 3 respectively. 22A-22C are the aerial versions.

You know for someone who loves smash and talks about it all of the time and plays it quite a bit, I'm pretty darn awful at it xD however the only "experience" I get is from friends, families and computers so..

It's like that hidden Goomba in Super Mario 64 that's just there and nobody really knows about it nor do people care since everything else is more important than a nonexistent Goomba and 1% less of damage.

if you want to talk weird, all three of Luigi's green missiles (the regular and other variation) have hitboxes that are written to do 10% damage even though they all have varied minimum damage and maximum damage. Additionally there is no second hitbox written in the move's direct location even though at the end and start of green missile it does the least damage. It's one crappy file to read and I'm still trying to get it down

not like anyone gives a crap about green missile anyways

I find the matchup really annoying as Rosalina too since Luma dies to collateral constantly, but I'm probably just approaching it wrong.

Then again, both those characters at least have other things they can do too. What does Zelda even have against Mac aside from her grab?

yeah but you have your dash grab and move fast and your dash grab is good.

I assume the answer is yes, and Fox was everywhere
Fox was more common yes, but top placements DID involve a variety of characters like Berserker mentioned + Marth, Falco, and a few others.
( sorry if someone already covered this, I'm catching up on soooo many pages I missed at the moment x.x )

Well he has the apple, key, smashes, sideB, and I think that's it.
