About Zelda getting a slight change and people complaining about it, I think a similar thing to what happened with Bowser could apply to her, meaning: just alter some of her moves to make them more varied and less stiff. You don't have to completely remake her, just... alter her functionality. Redesign her.

IIRC my movesets for each of the Mii Fighters when I tested them out were:
Brawler: Shot Put, Headache Maker, Helicopter Kick, Feint Jump
Swordfighter: Blurring Blade (Thanks Antonykun), Chakram, Skyward Slash Dash, Reversal Swing (or w/e it's called)
Gunner: Grenades, Flame Pillar, Arm Rocket (IIRC), Reflector

Only scrubs lose to bottom tiers. Scrubs have loud voices and people follow them blindly and Sakurai doesn't realize she's trash. The pros will be able to adapt quickly to her tricks (READ: ZELDA HAS ONE LINEAR GAMEPLAN, PREVENT HER FROM DOING THAT = WIN) and easily beat her.

If salt today was as valuable as it was back then, we'd need a new term to replace "salt" or we'd all be enslaved in the salt mines.

No wonder we use "salt", it's so cheap you can just dump it like no tomorrow and not burn a hole in your pocket.

@ Spirst Spirst GGs! Thanks for playing, that was fun. Coud you please give me advice on how to get past Pac-man's trampoline and hydrant? Those are so overwhelming omg.

Yeah, good games. That felt a lot better than the set we did for the tourney. I had fun with those games and they went back and forth a lot. Kind of weird though that I frequent the Zelda social but in reality, I know very little about the character and how to face her. Your reaction time is sharp which was fun because it meant any sloppiness was a punish. That last match with the shieldbreak though... I laughed pretty hard at that and I'm going to record that later because that was just so depressingly funny.

For Pac-Man's trampoline, I believe it's a...frame 1 move? Generally, you don't want to overcommit on his shield and mess up spacing since he can just up B out of most scenarios. It's frustrating but with the characters you're using, you're best off just recuperating rather than trying to punish the trampoline if you're also hit by it since he can either bounce away again or do some other jank. Zelda/Shulk are too slow to catch up. I wonder if you could FW/Backslash from the initial bounce into his landing though. Pacman's an annoying character, I know.

Hydrant is less tricky. It has 12% HP so try to keep note of what moves have hit it so you'll know when it's launched. Don't try to always rush it down since competent Pac-Mans tend to use it as bait and punish the hitlag on the used move. He can also grab through the trampoline, ride the water with you, and then bthrow you off the stage to set up an edgeguard. For Pac-Man, he struggles with pressure and doesn't like when people don't give him time to set up his circus. For Zelda/Shulk though, I guess you could try playing more patiently? Not sure. It seems like that's just a disadvantageous MU for those two.

I'd love to help you SFLR but the only Pacman I know switched to Sonic so I never really had a lot of matches with Pacman.

Yeah, Buster Shulk gets rid of it with like 99% of his moveset. But then Shulk's meh mobility overall comes into play while Pac-Man just flies around everywhere and stalls it out.

As for the MUs where Marcina can't approach for her life, that's the reason they both have the U-throw that kills super late for racking up chip damage and what not. Besides, Lucina gives you the option to be a bit more aggressive at times and try new things with her that Marth doesn't have the luxury of doing if he wants to get a KO fast. Plus, all she needs is a bit more effort in order to make up for her lack of KO power, and the range on the tip isn't too much of a loss overall. Besides, Lucina can pseudo Ken combo can't she? Marth can't anymore, i know that for sure.

Buster Shulk could probably dispatch the hydrant very easily.
This is one of the only things I remembered. I messed with the hitlag of f-smash by using it on the hydrant if Pacman is nearby. Other than that, the Pacman I fought isn't really good at all tbh.

Although he switched to Sonic, he isn't that good with Sonic either so lol

Speaking of Marth and Lucina...I've always wondered why people don't go Lucina against rushdown characters since she doesn't have to space for maximum reward

Marth only has extra vertical range as far as I know. Their arm and sword length are the same.

Marth's tipper is literally worthless except on fsmash because neither character does damage anyway. I've found myself spacing fair with Marth and doing like... 7% damage with tippers, and so I'm like, I might as well just play Lucina and spam fsmash.

I really legit think that, at least vs fast/small/light characters, Lucina is better based on the fact that tipping those characters without a super hard read is almost impossible.

tbh I use Marth and Lucina equally, but nowhere near as much as other characters (Wii Fit, Zelda, Toon Link, soon to be Lucas, etc.)

I would love to get better with Pac-Man but I'm not sure if he really clicks for me. Definitely entertaining to use, though.

EDIT: you would be correct @ Antonykun Antonykun , I meant Blurring Blade. lol.

imo it depends on MU

if it's a character that's going to be in my face all the time then at least if they do something laggy on my shield as Lucina I can fsmash and kill early without the tipper, Marth's not gonna get much off that same scenario

spaced tipper marth fsmash is cool and all but spacing takes time and realistically certain characters are going to fear a full-blade 90% frame 10 kill move more than a "50%-kill-at-a-specific-distance-but-nothing-special-inside-or-outside-of-that" move

I just lost to a Bowser player because lag made me fast fall N-Air offstage >_>.

If there's something that will make me quit Greninja in this game it is how terrible he is in lag.
