Has anyone else had double jumps randomly disappear? I've just lost two games because of it.
I had nothing to do with it. Falco's Blaster is too bad to do anything like that. :p

As for Kingdom Hearts... Aqua is the best waifu. Embarrass

Annnd I'm a :079: since I just found out Oregairu's second season is out and Plastic Memories seems like a really, really interesting anime to watch. It's like Binary Domain, Blade Runner, and maybe To the Moon, but as an anime.

In your opinion, out of those four characters (:4villager::4zelda::4miibrawl::4ness:), who would you say fares better against Rosalina? I think all of them have certain advantages, and other massive disadvantages against her.

Villager in general is not too bad against her (in my experience), but I'm afraid it was just because I haven't played particularly great Rosalinas that I haven't had trouble. The fact that Rosalina can easily force Villager to approach and that she's got such a strong defensive game is troubling. Apart from that, Villager has no good KB moves that could easily dispatch Luma, but once Villager gets in, it could be hard for Rosa to defend herself. Also, Rosalina is so easy to edgeguard for Villager, and Luma instantly dies vs ledge bowling ball even if it doesn't hit her.

Zelda has the advantage that anything she does will kill Luma. Like... literally she could fart and Luma dies. The disadvantage is that she is Zelda and she still sucks no matter what. Her super kill power really comes into play in here, tho, cause once Luma's gone (and even if he's there) Rosalina isn't as hard to punish as the rest of the top tiers.

Mii Brawler, I dunno, I don't think I've faced Rosalina with him. Theoretically she could have some trouble with him because speed and good frame data but I dunno how his attacks deal with Luma. I think he's way too easy to gimp for her, though.

Ness is great overall but GP gimps are always super scary. One bad hit from Luma that sends you off-stage could be a stock :/



I like fighting Rosalina, but I still haven't noticed who, out of these characters, does the best against her.

Rosalina wouldn't be so bad if Luma's hitboxes weren't so fraudulent or if they didn't have such ridiculous base knockback. Are there instances where Luma can attack but Rosalina can't? There seem like there are but I am also aware that Luma's attacks tend to come out faster than Rosalina's.

Gathering KO data on Pocketed projectiles is going to be frustrating, lol. Mainly because they tend to have ways to vary in damage. I got the percentages for Diddy's Rocketbarrels though, and that was a pain because of their random flight paths. Bowser Jr.'s Clown Cannon variants also made me want to tear my hair out because not only do they eventually get weaker, you also have to account for his body/car. The percent differences there weren't too drastic though.

I'm pretty sure Lavani has a gif where (I think) Luma glitched out and continued to rapid jab while Rosalina was doing whatever.

Update from me. Seems like I probably bumped my arm really hard in some blunt wall during swimming without noticing so hence it was really swollen. Ended up getting the doctor to suck out blood that was pooling in the bruise. Should've went earlier today because some of the blood congealed so it was hard to treat but it all worked out in the end.

Seems like that after I get an X-ray tomorrow and confirm things are okay, I should have no serious injuries or aftermaths, other than a potential but unlikely secondary infection. Problem? It will probably take 2-3 weeks for it to completely heal, so no Smash or piano or intensive typing for a while. ; w ;

I wrote all this with one hand on my phone, the struggles are real. Praise autocorrect that saved me a bit lol. Still a bit stuff my arm, but this is better than having a very serious injury at least.

I'm glad it's not that serious, Phil! I got worried for a while there, although I honestly had thought that you had hurt your muscle during some kind of workout from how you described it. That happened to me a while ago and it wasn't super bad.

Luma can attack while Rosalinda is in hitstun if I'm not mistaken. That's why d-throw combos don't work on Rosalinda if Luma's around. Also, Luma can attack while Rosalina is in shield-break stun, and while she's asleep too I'm sure.

Oh, and screw Mr. Game & Watch's Dash Attack. It's even worse than Jigglypuff where you can spam all day long and I swear there's disjoints on both of their Dash Attacks. Seriously, it's already fast and lingers, why the hell does it need a disjoint?! Freaking Bacon is the stupidest edgeguarding tool since it's all random with where the freaking food flies out. All I wanted to do was have fun and play as Sonic, but nope, the world has to troll me and give me input lag and opponents who cheesed the hell out of me.
:4gaw:'s dash attack is good because it lingers. It doesn't have much of a disjoint, IIRC, but it is fast. Puff's on the other hand, is really dang meaty and doesn't clank. Chef as an edgeguarding tool is okay. Better against characters with big/wonky hurtboxes, though.

I was discussing with a few of my friends tonight now they feel that the top tiers in this game aren't really as overwhelming as the ones from previous games. I'd say that if there is any character that inherited the spirit of the previous top-tier jank, it's Rosalina. She has her problems that hold her back, but dealing with her is an absolute chore if you're not used to it.

One handed typing is difficult. I got used to it after a while. But I hope you get better soon.

Tbh right now Rosalina is top tier because she can still surprise people with Lumajank and her disjoints. Lunar Landing is a pain in the butt, and Luma breaking combos is too, but once you're aware of what your character can do to dispatch Luma and how you can get around her stuff she's just a slightly above average opponent.

But I think the same that happened to Snake will happen to her. Eventually everyone will know how to fight against Rosalina and she's going to slowly drop down the tier list as Lumajank stops working for so much.

Of course, that doesn't mean she won't stay high tier.

Luma can attack while Rosalinda is in hitstun if I'm not mistaken. That's why d-throw combos don't work on Rosalinda if Luma's around. Also, Luma can attack while Rosalina is in shield-break stun, and while she's asleep too I'm sure.
Luma is only able to attack when the hitstun ends.
And able to attack when Rosa is in freefall.

There's a weird technicality where pummeling Rosalina can give Luma a small window to act, and when Rosalina's in helpless after upB she can command Luma. Luma can be controlled while asleep or stunned (shieldbreak/Disable, I don't think paralysis allows it) as well. When Luma's hitting you after Rosa's been hit it's because Rosa got hit out of a move's startup and Luma wasn't interrupted.

I can't speak much for Jigglypuff's, though I'm fairly certain it has more lag than Game & Watch's, but the 2D man's dash attack has fairly low lag. I'd guess between 10-20 frames. It's great at trapping landings and can punish attacks on shield because of how quick it is and how it moves him forward, but it's really bad on shield. The hitboxes last from frame 6 to frame 19 (14 frames lol) but if you shield the first hit there's plenty of time to grab him.

For the most part Game & Watch's kit is fairly lagless (except when landing :mad:). Despite USmash's tiny hitbox it's safe on shield or close to it because it has really low downtime.

Er... Apparently Capcom is considering DMC5 and DmC2, but Capcom said that people have to buy DMC4: SE to insure that development will proceed quickly. Really? ******* ********. Absolutely, ******* disgusting. Look, I love the DMC series and I love Vergil's play style and I love that Lady's fighting style revolves around firearms in a hack 'n' slash, but Capcom's business practices are ******* disgusting. Fatality JV 3'd someone with Falcon. Pretty much the fastest match I've seen in Smash 4 so far. It was hilarious

Is there a legit way to deal with link and toon link 's bull**** spam. I'm seriously tired of losing to rolling to one side of the map and just throwing bombs and arrows. And before you say "Well only Fg Links play like that I've been local and tourns and 90% of all links play like this.
^Power shield projectiles and grab Link.
Correction:most links play this way because projectiles have been buffed so now it feasible to just sit across the stage and shoot arrows
Power shielding is pretty crummy advice. Power shielding is the universal response to most questions and most people's first instinct is to shield. I'm looking for solutions that aren't power shielding and looks like someone actually pondered the question instead of typing shield like 90% of most smash forums. Im ok at grabs but the issue is i cant grab out of rolls and i usually get pushed back by link's jabs when i try to approach
