Urgh, sometimes I get Ffamran syndrome and want to complain about everything wrong with my characters. But other days I think they're great. And sometimes I just really want to improve.

Just got done playing someone who was better than I thought at first glance (the first match was them losing as ZSS to my Dedede so) but air was inspired to go Ganon more after only losing with him. I did well at first but then he started reading me and I got mad, so I went Game & Watch against his ZSS. I was winning, but then he started to win more and more (though I switched back to Ganon for one match and beat the ZSS???). I just really have a hard time approaching.

I'm at that weird place where I can beat some players fairly well but I have trouble adapting myself and so lose to those who can, and those who are more competent with their neutral.

And man, ZSS's kit is pretty stacked. Absurd mobility specs, good reach, a frustrating projectile, a flexible recovery, a good DThrow, kill setups, a frame 1 jab (why), and a powerful escape move. She's slightly limited in killing, has a bad grab, and is light, but aside from that...

Diddy, Sheik, Fox, ZSS, and Rosalina probably make up the top 5 right now.

I had such a stacked bracket at the tournament today, I really wanted to break top 8 but 9th will have to do.

I tilt harder than Lylat Cruise when I things go wrong, which is why I got 3 stocked by two players once in two different sets LOL

P.S. @ Locke 06 megaman is literally the black plague (I have to be politically correct now apparently because I'm making people laugh when they heard the radio reporting on ebola because they think of ness back throw)

I didn't play this much tbh, but when I saw I used him right away to the end but then I got bored for a while so I used a bit of just because I found him him funny. Looking at it now I never touched any other character than . I was always a casual at it

Melee
was my first pick when I was a causal because LOL he's Mario with a PhD. He was fun but I played as a causal game for like 8 years. Then I found out there was a competitive scene and it immediately interested me so I kept working and slowly I realized how fit me perfectly in playstyle. Then I realized that I need some secondaries to cover his bad match ups so I tried out the whole roster. Then I picked . I was considering but in the end I considered to not use him competitively. After that I went to local tournaments at my game store near me in Louisiana and I did really well. But when Smash 4 came out I stopped playing it.

Brawl
was gone so I cried for 28 years. I really wanted to main because she was incredibly fun to play but she kinda felt awkward. Her kicks felt weird, people falling out of her smashes were new to me, and the fact that her dair didn't sweet spots opponents on the ground bothered me. So I gave up on her. were fun characters for me and I had to pick between them but in the end I had more fun with . she came back and was my definite secondary, I actually liked her more than I did in Melee. I played around with a bunch of characters and I really liked . I had fun with all of them but I got bored of (your welcome Zeldas). I realized that I was much better at squirtle than ZSS and ICs after a tournament. So in the end I (co)mained and secondaried .

I've almost got 100% on DK64. I just need to find the Battle Arena on DK Isles, in Hideout Helm and the two remaining Banana Fairies too. :3

And I played the Splatoon Global Firetest, it was amazingly fun. But I did lose an awful lot.
And my Gamecube Adapter arrived today, was expecting my LAN Adapter to come through first. o.o

Yeah, lemons do a ton of work in that MU since she's not heavy or fast. And then utilt will punish Zelda's endlag hard if she tries to teleport in recklessly, miss an elevator, nayru on shield, dash attack on shield, etc. The reason I've thought it was not absolutely the worst is because kill power + rage and how he can get dthrow combo'd hard due to his weight/fall speed.

And mega man is polio. Cure to cancer, but still a terrible disease on its own. Love the character, but I do think the smash meta would be better without him because of how polarizing AAA utilt can be.

Lockey boi how do you deal with Peach using Mega Man? The good Peach in my country's Top 10 players almost 4-stocked my Mega Man before (although we faced again the next time and I brought Link out and casted divine retribution by 4-stocking him). I managed to beat the best Diddy around here with my Mega Man before (pre-nerf too), but I can't seem to beat this other guy's Peach. When I tried to engage her in the air, my pellets would get owned by her crown (or her ass). Peach's aerial range is like

Haven't played a peach in a long time that I'd consider good, but space her out and lemon her out of floats. Her cool movement stuff means very little in the MU unless you try to FAir wall (which doesn't work), so it boils down to you either keeping her out of range of BAir/NAir, pelleting or RAR BAir to interrupt her FAir (or shielding, but it's safe on shield when spaced). BAir does a ton of work in the MU because disjoint and speed. Another option is to FF uair when engaging her in the air.

I think (haven't done this yet because I suck at teching) her dtilt is unsafe on hit when tech's and can be utilt'd. If she gets in at low %'s, you'll probably take 40% off of a combo. Such is the mega man life. She doesn't have the speed to punish spaced fsmashes though, so that's fun.

Pellets>turnips except for dot eyes and stitch face I think. DAir>umbrella. Shield utilt>peach dsmash every time.

That's all I got for now. Could eventually be even because lol float combo and cqc pressure, but Mega's keep away is stronger once you lab her FAir range and startup so that you can interrupt or shield it.

Edit: if Ryu is actually in smash, get ready for the real shoryuken to be stronger than Mega's utilt. (I just hope they don't Nerf my utilt so that Ryu's is stronger like ROB and Mewtwo's up throw)

Your story is a lot simpler than I thought it would be. I'm glad you finally stuck to one main. I on the other hand...

Forward and Up smashes are also punishable on block.

F-tilt is unsafe on whiff and block; u-tilt and d-tilt are unsafe on block (these are relatively safe but not completely); and d-smash is unsafe on whiff and block too.

Zelda's lowest end lag move is her jab, which has 9 frames of end lag IIRC. Her frame data is not good on almost all of her moves.

edit: you know Zelda is bad when even the Phantom can be effective against her :D

Technically most moves are unsafe on shield that's true. Ffamram asked about endlag (although I guess he wanted to talk about falco), not what's safe on shields so I meant U/Fsmash don't have horrible endlag (as in lag after the hitbubbles end) but if they wiff they are very laggy. Where Zelda's landing lag and specials have bad endlag.

Okay, I'm kinda late but here's my characters:

64:

Didn't play the 64 smash when it came out, but I got the vc and played link, but I never really played it much

Melee:

This was my first smash game ever, and I believe the first character I ever played was . I played sm64 a lot, and really liked browser. I eventually found to be cool, thus me finding out about the Zelda series. I eventually unlocked and played him a bunch.

To this day, I play , , , .

When I first had melee I had no idea about tech, so I couldn't even wavedash or l-cancel until this year

Brawl:

I can't quite recall much, but I do know I absolutely loved . I also played a bit too, but at this time was kind of taboo. I always found her hard to play, but she was a character I always wanted to be good with, and now I play her today

PM:

When I played PM, I still didn't know tech. I still loved it because it had melee physics which were really nostalgic. This is the game I picked up . I also played a bit of , yelling "Dankey smash" whenever I got a fair, and I also played because lol fsmash

Now I play , , , ,

Smash 4:

Hm... When this game came out I really thought I was gonna main . I didn't have any kind of feelings for her, I've never played smg and just liked her concept. I tried her and it wasn't exactly as I thought, but I still played her. I tried out because I liked her in PM. So, I tried her out on prism tower against a lvl 9 cpu that randomed . I noticed the awful quality in 's sound effects, so I tried her out to hear them and make sure I wasn't hearing things, and turns out she was really fun to play, and mained her ever since. I've dropped at this point, and I wanted to play more characters, so I tried because I hated regular , and he too has been my main. The other characters aren't really important, except I originally played because his windboxes, but I've really tried getting good with him now. I also played a lot of but eventually I just stopped playing him. I've always kinda liked but it wasn't until 4 that I actually really tried to get good with him, it just stinks he isn't as good this time around.


So yeah, I've probably missed some characters, because I play a lot, but I just listed one's that I felt like they were important
