Not that it actually matters competitively but WFT lost the ability to Deep Breathe Slide.

for those who don't know what a deep breathe slide is I'll tell you.

if you missed up a deep breathe in the air. (aka you didn't match the circles) the next time you did a deep breathe you would not cancel your momentum. so with that. you would purposefully mess up the first deep breathe than double jump and start the second deep breathe and if you landed on stage you would carry the momentum from your jump thus causing you to slide on the ground. while still deep breathing

they changed it so that if you do another deep breathe after the first one messes up you will cancel momentum again but you will also fall much faster in comparision to the first one.

so yeah. no more slide.

Wasn't this going around on the WFT boards a while back? It was patched out in 1.0.5 actually. It was really fun to do (Top tier taunt strats!) unless he means a second type of sliding DB, but idk how you could patch one out but not another.

You could start with a flow chart as a way of making things really condensed, then expand it a bit, but not too much where you have a long, unending thing like this one, single, individual sentence I'm typing and continuing to type as I mentioned that I was typing it.

That's pretty much what I want to do, a big, detailed guide for people interested in learning him since Greninja is a tricky character to learn and that probably makes people steer away from him.

I think having a guide written by someone that actually knows their character for once would be a great thing to have.

All the more reason to do it, I guess

I mean, I'm going to have pretty much all of next week from college so I do at least have the opportunity to write a guide.

Maybe I'll start after the tournament this Saturday. I might even upload the guide in video format if I ever feel confident enough in my voice to do it.

They were indeed surprising, but I have been conditioned so well to the mediocrity of the franchise that I barely caught any of the games this season.

Heck if teams like the Celtics or Lakers pulled off 60 win seasons they would probably generate more excitement down here in the Atlanta area than the Hawks have.

So, went to another tourney. They do weeklies but alternate between melee and smash4/PM. Barely made it because traffic was dumb, so I got seeded last and played the 2 seed. Long story short, got kicked to losers 1st round, and then AAA utilt'd my way to my first tournament win.

Next I play a guy who's a PM guy and played Samus. @HeroMystic knows what happens. Told him to SH Air dodge>stuff but I just shielded>grab. Not sure what she's supposed to do other than charge shot and hope Mega Man messes up his spacing. (2-0)

Then I play a buddy who's Ness I consistently beat (2-0), and then a Bowser who I had a lot of trouble killing... rage Bowser is scury but UAirs and BAirs are too good (2-0). Then another Ness who went for some hard read stuff. Dsmash is so scary... launches at such a low angle. Won with some edge guarding, a rage utilt at 70%, and a back throw (2-1). Then a Falcon who had serious trouble getting in, and I exploited his recovery a lot. Also ducked under some moves (duck>utilted a whiffed grab) which made him want to dash attack. DA on shield>utilt. (2-0) Then played a Fox who kept shining because melee. Was close, but he was a little greedy at high % and got utilted for it (3-1). Fox BAir is so good though... The angle is almost straight horizontal. And then grand finals against the Rosa. Lost game 1 on Smashville, won game 2 on FD by consistently dealing with luma, lost game 3 because Halberd + luMAD... killed me at 20% uair (he was going "no bans" so I went "no bans" which was dumb). And then brought it back to reset. 2-stocked game 1, got taken to castle siege and got walk off fthrown (lol it's fine because I wanted to bthrow for a kill). Game 3 on BF he SD'd his 2nd stock at mid%, and then game 4 on the new and improved Lylat I pelleted the **** out of him and decided not to approach with the lead as he gravity pull'd. DA on shield>utilt punish. First tourney win, and it feels purty good. And I can start paying off my debts.[/collapse]

@warionumbah2 - I ended up playing Metaknight dittos against a guy who was talking about how another metaknight kept challenging him to money match dittos (which he kept winning). Won more than I lost in the 4 or 5 games we played. While he requires precision... his gameplan is so straightforward, he's not too hard to play as. NAir gimp trades are beautiful.
