HWYR if Smash got a pass with stages from other plat fighters (not based on non gaming ips. So no Nick or Multiversus but stages from Rivals, Brawlhala, Slap City, Fraymakers and the upcoming Sentinels Inc.)

Depends what stages specifically, but more competitive legal stages and support for other platfighter devs is nice.

HWYR if the next official Smash game was handed over to former Project M devs, and had returning stages; costumes; features; and music from PM, retroactively christening it into Smash canon?

If this means Sami and Knuckles can come back then hell yes. But in general yes. I'm not even even huge melee fan project m had a lot of charm.
