Marvel and Star Wars makes sense and isn't surprising, especially SW, but Fox would be heavily situational. Avatar would be unsurprising, Simpsons would be strange and perhaps a bit misguided but welcome if only for the funny, Robots; Anastasia or a Wes Anderson claymation feels like a relatively natural fit (from an OLI perspective) but also very surprising.

i have stockholm syndrome i think, i keep making these rosters that add to what i percieve to be the flaws of my least favourite game, help me.

Deluxe takes the "characters first, everything else second" approach of SSBU to an extreme, using the terrible-but-very-beloved groundwork of Ult to add a ton of characters, more newcomers than any Smash game has characters as a whole - HOWEVER, all these characters use existing assets from within Ultimate, and would on average be of a lower quality. Some use characters that didn't exist in Ult prior with modified assets a la Dr. Mario or the Melee version of Young Link. Abandoned 3DS/Wii U models are not used (RIP many Smash Run mooks). There are no new stages or modes.

Speaking of obscure videogames, HWYR if Death Battle made a Quote (Cave Story) VS Bayonetta matchup. Both characters the protagonists of Obscure videogame series that would inspire viral hits. If I can recall, Toby Fox officially confirmed that Undertale was inspired by Cave Story, and Mihoyo officially confirmed that Honkai Impact 3rd was inspired by Bayonetta. There have been several obscure characters from various media featured in Death Battle previously already. I previously seen users get Quote (Cave Story) and Bayonetta mixed up with Sans (Undertale) and Kiana (Honkai series) respectively.

Since Klonoa, Freedom Planet, Viewtiful Joe, Bayonetta, Metabots, and No More Heroes/Sudaverse are all obscure, but great videogame series HWYR, if in Smash 6, Klonoa, and Lilac (Freedom Planet) are playable, with Lilac replacing Bayonetta (Bayonetta 2 version), while Bayonetta (Bayonetta 3 version) and Viewtiful Joe and get demoted to mii costumes and spirits, while Travis (No More Heroes/Sudaverse) and Medabee (Metabots) and get assist trophies and mii costumes. Not only are Bayonetta in 1, 2, and 3 now separate entities from each other, but also Both Bayonetta and Lilac (Freedom Planet) are both obscure videogame characters that have similarities with Shantae, magical abilities and hair combat respectively. Likability/reception wise, Lilac and Klonoa trump Bayonetta and Travis (No More Heroes/Sudaverse).
