Your Kirby newcomer speculation

In my humble opinion I feel like a fourth or even a fifth/sixth Kirby newcomer(s) are likely in the base game or as DLC. What are your thoughts?

In all honestly Bandana Dee is the most likely. He got a lot of votes and has been prominent in the recent Kirby games.
If Bandana Dee somehow doesn't get in, then Adeleine & Ribbon have the most chances. From what I've heard from her support thread Adeleine was the second Kirby character to get the most votes. Now with her in Star Allies I'm comfortable saying she's the second most likely Kirby character.
I'd love that to happen

I think it's kind of a shame we only have three Kirby characters currently. The series has such a wide variety of cool and cute characters to choose from. Bandana Dee is the most likely, Magolor is a popular Japan pick, Marx has a following in America, and Daroach is kind of the dark horse. Adeleine has regained popularity since the release of Kirby Star Allies dream friends update. I don't see any of the other characters happening, but I would be fine with any of the aforementioned.

Bandana Dee stomps everyone in popularity. Dark Meta Knight could be a good echo with added visual flair.

I don't find Kirby speculation too interesting because it all comes down to Dee. I'd take Marx, Daroach, Adeline or Magolar over Dee. Prince Fluff, Gooey and the animal friends are in that same meh-ish zone for me as well. But Dee is reoccuring and popular, and there's not really any arguing with that.

Personally I think that Dee and Magolor are likely due to their popularity in Japan. Marx is growing in popularity in the West but I'm not sure how uch Nintendo listens to their wester audience.

Honestly if we don't get Bandanna Waddle Dee, I don't think we're getting a Kirby character at all. Which is kind of a shame, Kirby has a pretty neat cast of characters. I'd personally be rooting for Adeline and Marx.

As I said multiple times, I'm skeptical about Bandana Dee becoming a fighter, despite his popularity, I just can't see it.

Of the ones I selected, I think that Magolor is the most likely.
I can see him being "replaced" by Marx if Sakurai wants stuff from his own games only, and also because after Star Allies he got a lot of popularity.
But well, I think that Marx's boom in popularity is too recent and I see him more likely as a DLC than in the base roster.

Adeleine & Ribbon because the recent revival of those characters caused a lot of noise on Twitter and Nintendo/HAL has probably noticed it... and even if that's a recent thing and the roster was decided in 2015, according to this doc she placed 61 in the chart, that's not bad for a "forgotten" character, even above names such as Chorus Kids and Crash Bandicoot (she placed third if we only consider Kirby characters, and got more votes than Galacta Knight).

Metaknight echoes are easy picks, and I think they don't hurt the chances of any other newcomer because they require little work and I can see a multiple release like Simon and Richter, or Ridley and Dark Samus.

I never knew Adeline was so popular! It would be interesting to see a fighter who used a paintbrush and her creations as a tool in combat.

Bandana Dee still has the highest chances when it comes to a unique Kirby newcomer, especially when considering circumstantial evidence, popularity, and Sakurai mentioning he's still on good terms with HAL, alongside an Epic Yarn stage being planned for Wii U but then Woolly World happened. (So the Sakurai bias argument is moot.) Frankly I'd be very surprised if anyone else got the playable treatment before him. Base or DLC.

Magolor or Marx I can see happening, but either as a boss, assist, or MAYBE DLC character.

Dark Meta Knight or Galacta Knight (despite his costume status) are still viable for DLC I believe as a Meta Knight echo. (Maaaybe Morpho)

I'm not expecting any other characters to recieve the playable/boss/assist treatment, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of them at least appeared as trophies especially since they got 3D models thanks to Star Allies. But I can see the scrapped Epic Yarn stage being revisited for DLC now that Extra Epic Yarn is releasing next year.

Well, anyway, honestly I thnk that we won't get any Kirby newcomer this time, especially after all the rumors, leaks, and Sakurai saying to not expect too many newcomers (and even for DLC I have some doubts, unless they find a way to make a Kirby newcomer very appealing to the general audience).
But I didn't vote that option because it's against the purpose of the poll itself.

Anyway, she may not be the most likely character, but people are seriously underestimating Adeleine's chance; according to the Google Doc thing Marx didn't even get in the chart: I don't think he's more likely than Adeleine. And because of proof, Magolor makes sense to be next in line, unless Adeleine or Marx becomes Ridley/KRool.

yeah, Magolor is definitely more likely than Adeleine, but IMO Marx is not, not yet at least.

It's likely Dee who enjoys international popularity if we get any(which IMO isn't guaranteed) Magolor is also popular in Japan where Kirby is more popular but he's a weird choice for a villain character over Dark Matter or Marx.

Personally, whilst I'd like Dee as well, Gooey was the Luigi to Kirby's Mario and thus makes more sense than everyone who isn't Bandana Waddle Dee to me at least.

Anyways, if it's anyone, it's gotta be Bandana Dee, Magolor, or Dark Meta Knight (though that'd be an echo, which I didn't consider at first when I voted, but it's nonetheless likely). Marx and Adeline do have support, but my main issue there is how late into Star Allies they were added. If the roster was decided before Star Allies released, that really hinders their chances. Adeline has slightly better odds than Marx due to ballot voting, but even then she's competing with Bandana Dee and Magolor for ballot votes.

maybe Knucle Joe if AT can be promoted with DLC and be Cut as an AT or stay as a fighter and be an asset at the same time.

I voted for Bandana Dee, Magolor and Adeleine & Ribbon as likely fighters in this order. And I voted Gooey, Dark Meta Knight and Susie for characters I would also like to see but aren't that likely. Bandana Dee has the highest chance out of all of them but might not make it to base game, hope I'm wrong. If there's anything I like about Kirby is that the characters are so unique where each of them have different fighting styles. It's never going to happen, but I want them all to make it into the game somehow, half playable and other half as bosses.

In all seriousness, I'd love to see Bandana Dee and Marx. I find the pair the most deserving duo among the Kirby characters, though Adeline and Magolor are up there, too.
