The thing I don't like about bronies is the fact that they call themselves bronies. No show is significant enough to create a subculture this large and this obnoxious. It isn't about the show. It is about people needing an identity.

The fact of the matter is that you can like the show and not call yourself a brony. When you call yourself a brony, you pretty much tell everyone that you're involved with a subculture that promotes beastiality. I wish people would just watch the show, shut the **** up, and stop being so flamboyant about a single feminine children's cartoon. EVERYONE DOESN'T NEED TO KNOW. [not directed at any one individual...just a rant]

We already discussed this a number of times in other threads what it "means" to be a brony.

But he has a logical flaw in his logic that any subculture we are involved or not involved with promotes bestiality. Clopping =/= bestiality any more than lolicon =/= kiddie porn. It's not the same thing and I think you'll be hard pressed to find a brony, clopper or otherwise, that accepts bestiality.

The simplest reason we call ourselves bronies is because we want to identify with other fans. If we called ourselves "Friendship is Magic Fans" would it not carry the some connotation of associated with other fans some of which clop (and by his logic, promote bestiality)?

It's an informative label which tells people with a word that we like FiM. He shouldn't read more into it than that.

No, but generally youtube links are ignored and frowned upon unless the content is extra important and hellarreouse.

This. It became an unofficial rule of this thread that the pictures should be safe for work in all cases (not including foul language). The only rule that you really can bypass is censor dodging. When that happens, just provide a link to your picture. Anything else that might otherwise break the global rules should be avoided.
