Also I love playing ROB because the way I play Samus it's really hard for some of the best ROB players out there to beat me... I've played all of them with the exeption of a few (ShadowROB whom is a beast and this other ROB I saw at AZone/two who was cool too). i also obviously don't know about all the good ROB's out there, but so far I've noticed I do great and usually win.

Using this you can manipulate the opponent to where you want them (on a platform, on the edge, etc.) Once you establish this control you can proceed to wear them down and maybe even take a stock while they are still adjusting.

I agree with everything you said, I just thought that the high tiers usually have ways of getting around her spam game with little effort.

When I start spamming Homing Missiles, my opponents seem to have a difficult time getting through. "Oh no, it's a Homing Missile! Not another one! What? Three Homing Missiles? I know, I'll roll! What? I just got hit by a Bomb? Grr! Man, stop spamming your Homing Missiles!" Then, at the end of the match, my opponent says, "I don't like your Spamus!" I once was told, "Stop spamming, n00b." Then I said, "Stop rolling."

how i play
-there is samus, there is not-samus and i CANNOT play not-samus
-i only vs undr (that pit player who has his own forum)
-i button mash and usually go out of my way to hurl myself into a situation to try a new approach. especially if i see a rare scenario approaching. i'd give up my tactic and all hope of winning to try something new
-i have developed a quarter second attention span. pause the game and ask me what just happened and i'll draw a blank every time. i did this intentionally, because it frees up alot of mental resources to think quickly. undr hates me for it. sometimes he'll get lucky and i've actually chosen to think about the moment in question, but usually not
-winning isn't that important, but i often have this feeling that winning would be cool and if i lose too much, i feel kind of sad (when i'm struggling not to get 3 stocked)
-i always feel that i can still win. undr is still at 20% on his first stock, i'm one ftilt/fthrow from losing my last and i can still see myself winning and i'm planning to. unless there's about 30sec left on the clock, then i've given up
-i have an obsession with speed and combos. that works out nicely since undr's pit is very, very fast
-everytime i come up with a new tactic, undr learns to counter it fairly quickly and vice versa. i wouldn't call any tactic cheap. even spamming doesn't work against a fast player. i'll either burn through undr's arrows and kick him or he'll saw through my missles and gloat before stabbing me

what i need to improve on?
need to learn to play to win and not focus on creating a unique scenario to learn from. its really hard, because i see opportunity everywhere and all the time. must break years of conditioning

What you all should do is make a thread and request your primary competitive sources to answer the question, "What do I need to improve upon?". Plus I love the fact that no one even acknowledged your post Sauna. lol

Here is how I play:
1) Only Samus
2) No spam
3) Combo's
4) Entire Move set
5) Neutral Stages

Do I play to win?
Probably not, but I am good with my character and I beat a lot of people.

If you want to win tournaments then play ridiculously gay (because that's what other people are going to do to you). I always place in the top 25% at tournaments and usually in the top 10% even though i never sleep or eat before them (another bad decision but I choose to drive everyone). I don't win tournaments probably partially due to my play style, I do amazingly well against people who play me, but not so good against people who spam me or play ugly. Why? I don't want to play like that but lately i feel like i need to.

Want to know how to beat me?
Be really really good, or spam me and play like a scrub.

What i need to improve on?
Playing ugly against people who play ugly towards me.
For me this means spamming when I am being spammed and playing a lot more on horrible Samus counter pick stages.


I think it would be cool if we wrote what we think we need to improve on and maybe even posted a video to show why we lost because of this. This way we will hopefully remember this while we are playing and do what we need to, we can also get positive input from each other.

Rules for this:
1) Keep it to one goal (although it can be a pretty broad one)
2) Update when you achieved your goal and come up with another, ie always have a goal
3) Don't give up on your goal until you actually overcome it and stop losing because of it
4) Provide input for others



Hopefully this helps people and stuff, o and thanks hive for that taunt thread you started lol, that's kind of why i decided to make a serious thread ^^

BTW i don't have a video of what made me want to spam people who spam me, but pretty much what happened was I was ranking to go up in my crew and the person i was playing lost with their main against me really bad so the rest of the matches they counter picked kirby and went to green greens, jungle japes, rainbow cruise, pirate ship, etc and only used shiled, side dodge, and grab-uair until i was at high enough percent for them to spam f-smash. I lost on every counter pick and won on every neutral, score was 4-5 and i didn't end up moving in the ranks.

Alright Alright! I believe you! your too good OK? You don't have to post a 10 minute video to show it! I stopped half way through your video before my jaws dropped.

I played Samus twice because i was sitting next to tudor and i was all like, man this samus is sick.

So i tried to play samus only to realize i cannot spike with her and i basically just suck all around.
