You get no Sympathy in a "Fire Emblem Discussion"

Sad, but true. Not sure an FE character would be good for a trailer, reactions would be probably a mix of "Who?" and "this isn't Roy" and such.

For a new character in particular, the character in question needs some sort of characteristic to make people want to play as the character, even if you're not familiar with them. Fire Emblem is probably the hardest to do that with considering that the more notable characters don't stand out a lot, with the more distinctive ones like Micaiah and Hector often being overshadowed by another character. One thing for sure is that Chrom and Lucina are not promising choices in the long run.

Personally speaking if we had to get a new Fire Emblem character, Lyn would be a solid choice. The super flashy attacks she preforms are really cool.

In my personal opinion, Chrom may be an overall better choice than Lucina, considering that she has a resemblance to Marth with the mask on, and she may cause spoilers for FE:A......

Problem is, people associate Hector for the Young Hector from FE7, especially since he was one of three main characters.

So no Captain Bluebeard (as I'm calling Old Hector from now on)....

Edit-:This also means he's related to Eliwood, since Lilina is Roy's main potential wife, like Chrom and Sumia.

Nah, Lyn just went back to Sacae and continued to devote her life to the sword, as a true warrior would. She never married anyone.

That's why she's nowhere to be seen in FE6. She pulled an Ike and disappeared without telling anyone but her closest friends.

I guess Tellius being the oldest makes sense, seeing as the only beastfolk left in later games are Manakete.

I suppose maybe the Sacred Stones is among the latest chonologically.

We were actually, guesstimating for all we know Tellius could happened the latest before Awakening, maybe Tomes there are different than the rest of the continents, especially with thunder being the weakest.

This could also mean that Tellius is just a old continent, the Herons were almost wiped out so it had to happen years and years before as mention by Reyson and Leane

Characters in Awakening make several references to occurrences in other FE games. Chrom and the others clearly recognize all the FE characters they encounter in the DLC. Oh, and let's not forget Priam, who confirms that Tellius occurs in the same universe(being Ikes descendant and all).
