Dude, I feel EXACTLY the same way about DoR, I never got to finish it, but I really liked it. I think I still have it somewhere, I gotta give it another go sometime. Another options would be Sami from AW. Granted I've only played DoR so...

I was thinking that since the Fire Emblem characters in Smash Bros. are meant to represent the series as a whole, then it could be something like this:

Marth: Represents the NES/SNES era
Roy: Represents the GBA era
Ike: Represents the GCN/Wii era

Now, by this method, for the DS/3DS era, the Avatar (My Unit) appears to be the best representative.

And for the series as a whole, we have Anna.

Thoughts on this?

Hmm, I think Palutena is gonna be shown, Lucina as well since FE13 just came out and it's wildly popular.

Outside of that I'm not too sure. Perhaps Bayonetta at the end if they're going for another shock factor.

Fire Emblem characters are not exactly stuff that would build up hype no matter how you look at it, aside from attracting the niche Fire Emblem fanbase. It's mainly due to the broken base and the lack of pizzazz on both fronts; no matter what, we lose.

Both in Japan and the West there is little interest for Lucina to be playable. Smash Bros. fans think she is way too similar to Marth to warrant being playable.

Also, considering you are also predicting Palutena and Bayonetta to be revealed as well, and since its very unlikely we will get more than five newcomers confirmed, I highly doubt they would load up an unveil trailer with three female newcomers. I think we will simply get ONE that fills the "female newcomer" spot.

Yea, i don't need them in the reveal trailer, I expect it to be maybe like a month before the game comes out, for the FE rep.

There should have been a category for archers as well.

I highly doubt they would use a character that is very likely to end up as a clone of some kind for the unveil trailer. If they had to use one (and even this is extremely unlikely), it would probably be Roy due to how highly requested he is relative to other characters that have the possibility of ending up being a clone/semi-clone.

Actually, I said Ike because Marth is (nearly) a shoo-in. Presence of Ike or Roy would be a better option.
