That makes no sense. People will play who they want to play. I mean if you're dealing with children or immature people I guess that would hold true but after a while I'm seeing less and less of this. From a competitive standpoint, I would link Bowser being a legitimately bad character as the main reason before I would say he's a bad guy. If Bowser were even a decent character in this game I'm sure we'd have a bunch of kids using him in all types of environments. Kids who want to be rebels and use a bad guy for their first time, or kids who are tired of using Mario (I'm speaking from a childish mentality of course) or any good guy really.There's not enough bowser players in the world

The fanbase, of course, helps, but are we really interested in that in a competitive environment? Having 500 Sonic players is great because they were all fans of the franchise, but what about the ones that will actually rise up and truly show Sonic's worth? That amounts to, what, 5% of that?
