After 2 months of work here's my WC banger

http://www.zshare.net/audio/770704687180dd47/

My "producer" name is E-P or E-Profile thus the sound bit like 20 secs. in

I just talked to a very well connected major blog Admin, and he's cosigned the beat. He's going to send it out to artists like Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, and Ab-soul. It's a long shot, but i'm pretty excited!

I listened to it. It's really cool, except I think this may be one of those beats that get old after a while... Like Forever?

You have to work to make room for a chorus and bridge and things. It shouldn't be the same thing the whole way through

And what do you use to produce? I want to get a new Macbook Pro so I can get Garageband, but if there's something better for Windows, let me know.

So what are your guys' opinions on J-Live?

I love him, personally, lyrical mastermind, and good beats.
i tried to listen to him because of his track he did with handsome boy modeling school but i just couldn't get into his solo work...

listening to recovery again, i'm kinda glad dre didn't do heavy productions on this one...though it was surprising dre produced space bound. i can usually spot his productions.

Sup, I think rap today is horrible, I listen to Pac constantly. His message was that people need to get out of the hood and try to make a better life for themselves. Now the rappers today just totally diss Pac it seems. They try to say that everything is cool in the hood. They should sag their pants. They should shoot people, be in gangs where they have to be jumped just to get in.

Rap is in a horrible state right now.
Not all of them. Maybe just all but eminem (don't believe me? Listen to
Deja vu (at least the chourus))

people say he's comparable to a young nas...i don't see it. he managed to make NY State of Mind sound boring. this is why people shouldn't touch classics unless they come correct.

still a fan....he's just not ****in wit nas :)

I don't think he aimed to compete w/ Nas. Anyone saying this is better than Illmatic is on something. Nas was better on every track, but that's becuase he's Nas lol. Fashawn held it down imo. and lol at comparisons with a young Nas, he is nowhere near a young Nas. Fashawn is...Fashawn. I'm loving the tape.

It's funny when NY State of Mind dropped...I was waiting for ''rappers I monkey flip em with the funky rhythm I be kicking'' lol I think he needed to be a bit more aggressive on that track. Bars are on point though.

Fashawn is that dude.

Reading around the net people are saying he shouldn't have touched it, Illmatic is so highly revered that no one should have done anything like this. I feel where they're coming from but it's not like Fashawn is Plies lol. I think he held it down.

What hapened to Elmatic?

well, fashawn did say some thing about how it took nas 19 years to do what he's done in only a few weeks. i thought it was the dumbest **** i've ever heard come from his mouth but whatever. i'll forget it.

i had to read about elmatic. not a fan of elzhi. he any good? think he'd do a better job than fashawn on a tribute? this is the second tribute i've heard that i didn't like.

That is stupid to say.

Elzhi, in terms of putting words together, is amazing. In terms of music, I've only checked The Preface from him. It's cool, I'm not in love with it. I don't know how he would do over Illmatic.

Probably my fav track I've heard

^lol my thoughts exactly! i think i was listening to it, planning on it sounding like mmlp/sslp so i didn't really know how to take it when it sounded completely different. but, after a couple listens, i was/am hooked :) definitely gonna buy it when it comes out.

@N9NE:....i give it to BTH, personally. there was only one track on there i didn't like... but both are dope.
