So i found that if you lightstep > jump > side B on battlefield you can actually land on the top platform. This can be used as a pretty cool mixup or recovery, especially against falco if you dont wanna get grabbed and lose a stock.

Also something not as useful: If you lightstep > jump > side B > cancel at the very end, you can grab the other ledge of the stage of smashville.
Mastered it

Dynomite, you had me confuse you with JCav because of your avatar. Nice trick though one grab by Falco isn't death for us.

:059:
enlighten me? I guess you can SDI the dair but what if they miss the dair.. you end up doing a fair to your death.. or what if they just grab and u buffered the SDI. uhg.. ive done this soo many times. not fun..

:smirk:

Yep, I do this all the time. It's pretty good but opponents can still punish it with a read because it's not that fast. Same with the SV one, but for that I prefer to lightstep > fair/AD > upB to the other ledge from under the stage :p On BF, I like to follow it up with platform drop > shine when people are giving chase but are too slow for the guaranteed punish.

:059:
I like the idea of platform drop > shine. I need to kick the wario habit of trying to run off the platform > bair to avoide the horrible jump frames. :wolf:

In other news...

Someone needs to pay for my flight to Apex so I can teach my fellow Wofl's how to fight IC's and DeDeDe.
Mc beat you to it my friend.

Got 4th/88 at Retribution and 2nd/29 in doubles. Beat Kismet, Deltacod, Shadowphoenix, Fizzle, and DeLux. Had to go :falco: vs Fizzle after getting :dedede:'d. Lost to Reflex 2x in singles and Coney/Pink Fresh 2x in doubles.

Good job joe I had to go against your match against reflex how did it go?
In winners I lost handily 0-2. When I replayed him in losers I lost 1-2. I got taken to frigate and the match went back and forth, but he took my jump away early and I couldn't recover on Frigate.

I definitely don't see that matchup as being worst then -2. For the first time playing a :wario: that can cg I did very well in my opinion. :dedede: is our only -3...

^ Agreed. Also, good **** winning on RC ;D Frigate is definitely our worst stage against Wario.

:059:
Rc is one of my favorite stages. I won on it EVERY SET/ROUND I PLAYED. frigate is our worst stage vs everyone. I just rather not be on Fd where I'd have nowhere to go.
Things I've learned from reflex:
Play standing up
Pick frigate

:phone:
I could've told you the second one Brandon lmao.

I'm actually starting to like frigate.

Not enough to unban it in Nebraska, but I think it's a way better stage than :brinstar: :castlesiege: :fountain: (I got **** on FoD tonight :( ) :japes: :norfair:

about even with :pirateship: *not trolling.

And close to :halberd: :pictochat: :ps1:

Wolf can beat Wario. It's just extremely unlikely on Frigate. Not that I dislike the stage, but Wario abuses the layout way too well :x

Why dont more wolves use lylant and halberd :(
I actually like halberd but only a few I would take to but lylat is terrible sure we got those nice platforms but when the decides to troll and tilt making me miss with my recovery, I try and not go there.

Frigate isn't terrible for us but we could go somewhere better. Also I personally hate both of the ps those ledges are so bad for our recovery.

I don't go to Lylat or Halberd because when I actually need to CP people or care about stages

I'm playing vs :snake: or :dedede: and I don't like either of those stages vs those characters.

Lylat is great.

I used to like Halberd a lot too but then the people I played with stopped putting non-neutrals on random and I have no practice on it :/

Halberd (HAL-bird) is fun except vs sharkers and a few other characters. I should play there more with Wolf.

I liked the walljump > sideB onto a platform on BF. Really disappointed at how Mc Pe isn't jumping out of shine after reflecting every single tjolt though :/

It's the same thing as Falco's spike. SDI toward the stage and you'll be safe. In the case of sharking, you can SDI Wolf's D-Air upward and you'll be above the stage ground before you start flying downward. As a result, you'll land on the stage instead of getting spiked to your doom.

That doesn't sound like that'd ever happen. If someone is sharking me below Delfino/Halberd 9/10 times they get spiked by me Dair'ing the stage and it connecting below them.

That's because most people don't often bother to learn useful little things in the game. It's not that hard to do; people are just ignorant of it.

So I'm starting to use a lot more ftilt. It's actually kinda pretty useful, fills a niche where fsmash is too slow/unsafe. But don't hit shields with it lol

Also, never doubt JJ Wolf.

You actually use the button assigned to special inputs, which would be B with the standard setup. There are two points during the sideB at which you can cancel, one for the short and one for the long.

Hello Wolfs~
Your character makes a cool noise when he u-smashes, and I would simply love it if I saw more wolfs using it as a taunt.
