Question for the general populace: Does shine > dtilt combo for anyone? Because JJ said it did a looooooong time ago but it never combos for me, in training or in a real match :x
hang on. if you SH shine it ends before you hit the ground but you dont have the time to do anything else before you land. on the other hand, if you do it at the peak of a SH it might cancel by the time you hit the ground so the time between the shine > dtilt would be less. i think testing/experimenting/theoryderping the frames n stuff behind SH shine could be useful.

btw, play safe but aggro against DK close and mash the B button when he's far, unless youre playing someone supar good that should be enough. i've never seen will or any other good DKs play a good wofl so i think the theory is solid but we haven't seen it in action yet

Ohhhhhhhh. Damn. How can I check the hitbox flags to determine what hits an aerial/grounded opponent? And thanks again, this is awesome :D

Open the pac file, convert the flags Hex into binary and check bits 15 and 16. If 15 is 0, it cannot hit aerial opponents, if 16 is 0, it cannot hit grounded opponents.

Wolf's up b has an angle of 365. That one doesn't even make sense and I have no idea how to explain it. :D

One time a DK CPed Japes, got the lead and camped me on the lower center platform. I could not figure out how to get in there and fight him without being grabbed or taking massive damage. When I did force him out, DK hit me away and returned to his stronghold gaining a bigger and bigger lead. How should I deal with that?

DK's a challenging character for me. When he's in an environment that restricts my air game, like BF etc, he really gives me trouble.
Will blaster be stopped by DK's upB armor frames and do the cover the entire attack part of the move?
Is gimping DK's low recoveries a good strategy? (armor frame factor again)

i just asked the DK boards about this, it's grounded upB = super armor, air upB = invincibility, and these extend when you move from ground to air or vice versa during those parts of the move.

the separation of jungle japes with the two holes makes it really stupid. the instant you get a percent lead it's super hard for the other character to make it up. like green greens, except without ******* walls lol

on even ground like FD/SV/BF wolf shouldnt have stage problems at all. i think when mobility becomes involved like stadium1 and stuff things might get complicated, and i'm sure the ship tilt of lylat would make his upB invincibility much more of an issue. same with Yoshi's.

Thanks for the info everyone :) . 'Looks like I shouldn't attack DK during his upB recovery.
I'll upload the video of me vs ROB. TBH, he out-spaced me really well.

Wolf's great air speed could help him timeout people on PS1. That's the only benefit I see unless the opponent's character does even worse than Wolf there. /my 2 cents

When DK's up-b goes ground to air or vice versa, it keeps all the properties, except the hitbox and damage, of the move when it transitions between the two. So his grounded up-b has super armor which can carry over into air, and the air one has invincibility.

The two ways to get invincibility is to up-b into the slope during it, or to slide off the edge and do an aerial up-b, then return to the ground during the invincibility. Or at least I'm assuming that's how the second way functions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3CmvJM-Rq8
Watch that video, KRD.

Just laser it or wait for the end lag.

Watch out for perfect helicopter's like shown in the vid, or you'll be getting punished. If he's recovering far you can hit him with a well-timed Dair. Shine works too, but it's less rewarding.

YI:B and BF are both great stages for DK, I personally don't mind BF against him. Just apply pressure and keep out of his godly range.

I know about the Up B from the air to the stage thing. I was just confused about tekkie's post, and I just woke up when I posted. I usually try not to stay by DK's when they're on the ledge. I wasn't 100% sure about the ground to the air one though.

The pieces are all there, better execution would've made for 7/10 imo.

i might have some on my SD card XD

I GUESS IT'S WHY THEY CALL IT AN "SD" CARD ;D
-_____________-

When some people play me in friendlies they try to stall until I SD if we're on our last stocks and I have like a 100% lead, no matter which character I'm using... and it actually works way more often than it should :( lol

9/10 btw, because I'm the one SDing all the time so it holds extra significance :p

I hate when Its last stock and they are at 150 plus but you air dodge near the ledge and fall down and SD at like 10 or so percent and cry cause you are mad

DK's Up B has invincibility in the air? I'm assuming it's only at startup then? Cause I hit DK's out of their aerial Up B's all the time.

:059:
I think only on startup.

:wolf:'s best stages to time people out on are Delfino and Rc (When legal).

Oh wow, suddenly I remember that grand finals of amateur bracket I was tired cause through most of the 2nd set, since it was a Lucario I was playing against, I kept trying to remember which character it was that mattered if they took damage, and then I finally remembered "Oh yeah, the only one that really matters if they take damage is him, cause every time he gets hit, we both get closer to dying."

Look at the video critique thread for further thoughts on that, but if you are as good as you say you are online/at the liberary, you should come here and test your might.

Plus I assume you are a junior in HS, and the transition to college will be easier if you are exposed to this type of environment.
