Still can't:

DSHL
Dash backwards quickly
Waveshine left or right
Wavedash left
Firefox on the right ledge without illusioning away from the stage
Or anything that involves quick movements with the joystick from one direction to the opposite direction (i.e. shine -> firefox on a ledge, quick dash dancing)

As of right now I'm maining Falco. He is much less "quick-finger" intensive than Fox, and doesn't have DSHL or need waveshining as bad. Perfect solution! My thumb still gets "funny bone" jolts if I tap it in the wrong place, the right side of my thumb is numb, and the wound still hasn't healed.

Having said that, anyone free Wednesday night or after to smash at all? I'm off work Thursday-Sunday and def wanna try and get my tech skill back/practice with Falco =) I also just bought SSBM for like the fifth time. I have no idea how to get Homebrew channel back on my Wii since Kirby Epic Yarn deleted it.

I haven't really played since SC2 came out, and I haven't even really played SC2 in a few weeks either due to lack of free time. I would be up for playing MH3 some more, but I probably can't, esp if I want to get back into SC2 :(

How's NC going btw?

Yeah, my SC2 interest was going strong until I moved, then suddenly I haven't played since. Shoot me a message if you ever want to play MH3.

NC is... very hot. It's nice being near family again though. I've been out to smash with the ECU guys a couple times, and got to play a bunch of friendlies with Dr PP at a Greensboro tourney a few weeks ago. I miss all you guys!

Attn: Wisconsinites and random other MWers who may give a crap:
I got engaged!!!
Wow, congrats dude!!!

Nice, were you creative with asking? If you want to keep it personal, understandable.
Now, now. Don't rule out "was SHE creative with asking". This is the 2000's people.

Fyi please no more mocking me for being the "most technical Fox in Wisconsin". #1: I wasn't anyway, #2: I'm not maining Fox anymore, and #3: Saying that is just going to depress me because several people I know who have had nerve injuries in their fingers say those "digits" are either numb or unusable even years later, so I'll never be the most technical anything now.

So if you are not going to be fox anymore, who will you be? You mentioned falco, but even though he is slower tech wise, I guess, that still seems pretty technical. Or will you go all peach?

Tom, simple is best.

Food for thought over the break period.

What if each major reigon in Wisconsin gets its own power ranking. This gets divided into the 3 major reigons: Milwaukee, Madison and Eau Claire. Each area starts hosting its own compeitition in whatever form. Mini-tourneys at smashfests or legit tournaments. Something actually results to start building a reigon power ranking with.

I thought maybe this would start getting us a bit more competitive. More competitiveness gets us more eager to get tournaments going. You know, build the hype.

Eventually this might lead up to those large tournaments we have always wanted.

wisconsin doesn't really like power rankings for some reason lol. we already know who the good players are and a list would just generate controversy. besides, i think there's about 5 people who could have a claim to "best in wisconsin"...

I'm doubtful if Brawl can find ten active brawl players statewide.

Melee has plenty for a statewide list, not sure about regions within a state.

Kappy has said that the whole of MN brawl power rankings is pretty much the whole brawl scene in minnesota. A whole 10-12 people lol

So, it really shouldn't matter how many people we put on there. Besides John, my idea is extremely informal anyway and no one should be taking it at all seriously. It is just something that's there for our amusement.

Eau Claire Power Rankings #1 was a casual smash gathering that occurred in an afternoon on Saturday November 13th, 2010, in YoshQ's basement, Eau Claire, WI. Matches were played with standard tournament rule-set. Since it was casual and people were in and out throughout the day, ranking was determined by each players worst 8 matches. Therefore players who stayed to complete more matches weren't necessarily rewarded by this system but I do not feel that this is an accurate measure of ranking. However since nobody cares anyway, (cause its Eau Claire PR!) here are the results.

ECPR#1 Entrants;

1st. YoshQ ; 8:0 (16:0) Luigi
2nd. Epic ; 6:2 (13:5) G&W
3rd. Ionic ; 6:2 (13:6) Fox/Mario
4th. Loki ; 5:3 (10:7) Mario
5th. Puzio ; 4:4 (11:9) Sonic the edgehog/Link
6th. Geko ; 4:4 (10:11) TL/Rob
7th. Yello ; 3:5 (6:10) Lucas
8th. SToaster; 3:5 (7:11) ????
9th. James ; 2:6 (4:13) PT/Lucario/Wolf/MK/Pikachu
10th. Monk ; 1:7 (4:14) Snake
11th. PikaB ; 0:8 (0:16) Pikachu/Mario
12th. Maris ; 0:8 (0:16) Super Sexy Peachy

hey i would both enjoy and contribute to a pr, just saying.
So would I...want to organize one?

Hunger told me they have 20-30 or something like that.

Right now, the wisconsin brawl PR would consist of two wifi players fighting for 1st

I think I might have found someone who plays brawl in madison, but I am not sure... Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I am thankful that I am not dead and can manage to get together with everyone I know.
