Why is Young Link a Peach Counter?

maybe cause his boomerang is really "maneuverable" so it can stop peach's floatin...other than that there isn't a counter here, this is perty old tho.

im a peach player and i admit Y.Link does counter peach but the way to play young link is that you have to not let him get any space on you and you have to always try to stay close to him otherwise a annoying Y.Link would just spam projectiles all day so if you know how to play a young link smart its not that much of a counter.

I'm not as good as Chu Dat and I've beaten his Ylink before. It's not a counter.

Not every match I play has been recorded. I already pointed out that set in a previous post, anyways - that's about the first major tourney where I debuted my Peach as my main.

it's far from impossible to win this match up cuz peach can edge guard young link really well, and with his sucky recovery, it's hard for him to return after a strong hit. but I'd rather not use peach against him just to be safe.

I play that boy Jash alot, he is in my crew, And I say he knows how to abuse her weakness and weight very well. He abuses Peach players. And very skilled ones at that. If quite hard to deal with his Y.link. Though I beat him here and there. He gets more wins in, but I do take him out a decent amount of times. I say we go at it back in forth, but he gets me more........lil brat......lol, j/k. But Yes his Y.link Vs Peach game is well solid. But I love that fight, to me is fun. I have to be thinking and have to out smart him hardcore, and I think I get better just by playing him.

so in all honesty here.... are you guys being honest with yourself? Young Link SUUUUUUCKS, and anyone who mains him should have already come to terms with that. So what if YL happens to do better against peach than any of the other top tiers? He still sucks and Peach is a better character, generally and specifically in that matchup. People may argue that YL is given more options in the matchup leading to a counter, but the fact of the matter is that Peach still has way more things to do. You guys act like projectiles are this impenetrable wall, and that isnt the case. Its not particularly hard to approach as long as you dont blindly rush.

I think the more important question here is that you may be able to bring up maybe a couple of situations (old ones at that) where a YL triumphed over Peach, what about the COUNTLESS unmentioned times of peach ripping through YL's?

If you want a solid counter and a slightly unfair matchup for peach, look at fox.

Meh, its nothng really, this talk happens all the time, which Im fine with it. Its just at times it tends to go a lil too far and just needs to cool down.
