Who has managed to beat Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask to every tiny little detail?

In contrast to Majora's Mask, the treasure chests stays open after you open them, so i will allow myself to include them as well. Who has discovered everything in this game? All items, heart pieces, weapon upgrades, faeries, mini-games, chests, and so on?

Eh, there's not really a reason this should be in two seperate topics. You should just rename it to a general 100% discussion for any of the games.

as for the topic: I've beaten OoT 100% but not MM. MM is a lot harder with the sidequests.

Feel free to merge the two topics into one, and also i hope that it's not bothersome that i posted both questions in two separate topics.

On topic: I had the complete opposite experience. OoT is way more time consuming as you have to find and open each single treasure chest both in the overworld and in the dungeons to complete the game 100%.

For the entirety that I have owned this game, I have never fully 100% beaten it, only regular beaten it. Normally I do get all the items, fairies and chests. It is just the gold skulltulas and remaining heart containers that I am missing. I think I have like 86 skulltulas and I am missing 5 heart pieces. One day I should definitely try and finish.

you forgot the hylian loach, the rare fish than apear in the fishing place at lake hylia. get that fish is dificult, you dont need only skills, you also need luky :urg:

remember too the weapons upgrade, like a bigger quiver or bomb bag, and the mask side quest

Hah, ya that fish is hard to get. I believe I got it on a previous file using the sinking lure, but I want to try and get it using the normal, floating lure. Already upgraded my quiver and bomb bag, as well as delivered all the masks and receiving the Biggoron's Sword.

Oot is impossible. I played it once, all the way through though. I got Biggoron's Sword and the important stuff, but I never got all the bottles. I'm missing a heart container too o.O

MM is much easier, Imho. If you consider 100% the rupee bags, heart containers and masks, I'm pretty sure I did it :D

I can never get the Sinking Lure. I got it on my first ever playthrough, but ever since I can't remember ever getting it again.
Lol too true. It's funny because I could get it when I was 10, but now I can't seem to get it anymore. All I remember doing was running through the water and getting it, doesn't seem to work anymore.

to get the sinking lure: get a fish bigger than 18 pounds, weight it, run for all the place, the sinking lure can be found in diferents part, the hole were the water flow, the big trunk, that this in the way of the lagoon (there one finds the biggest fish), or in the little plants than float near that trunk.

get all the bottles in OoT is easy

go as a child to Lon Lon ranch and kakariko village and do something ;)

as an adult, defeat and caught all the big poes at the hyrule field, and lend them to the poe shop.

IIRC.
In OoT I was missing 3 skulltulas and 2 heart quarters.
And MM it was about a 10% of the bombers notepad tasks and also 2 heart quarters.

Well, yeah.
As you know, there're some tricks you have to do in order to get em all, like placing a bomb in a tree, doing something in the night, etc...
I got 97/100 of em, but I couldn't find out where the last 3 were.

Spider glitch? hah, I don't know of it
Outside of Hyrule Castle (where you originally wake up Talon and enter into the courtyard), there is a secret grotto that only appears if you play the Song of Storms. when you drop down, there are some bombable walls and one of them has a gold Skulltulla. The way the grotto is set up, you can kill the spider then position yourself in front of the exit tile. Then, you throw the boomberang at the token and as it comes back to you, backflip onto the exit tile. The message you get when you get a token appears, but it usually doesn't get the chance to finish before you are outside again. It gives you the token, but if you go down the hole again the Skulltulla will still be there. If you don't screw it up and save afterwards, you can do this forever.

Oh, haha I semi-knew of that seeing as the method seems so familiar. That's pretty cool, and if you get to 100 it just stays no matter how many more you get?

I agree, MM is by far one of the easier games to complete 100%. The stray fairies counts as well, not to mention the the various upgrades ( bomb bags, quivers and such. )

I remember that gold skulltula in Zora's Fountain took me forever to find. The one where you have to lift the rock and go past regular skulltulas to reach. Found it by pure luck.

I've completed both 100%. It's relatively easy for Majora's mask after you've beaten the game. The challenging aspect for both games is collecting heart pieces, and for ocarina, also collecting gold skultulas.

If I'd know where they are, I'd have em by now... :p
But thanks for the help attempt.
no me entendiste,

Oh, sorry, now I get it.
But then I'd have to collect all of them, since I don't have that save state atm, and I'm just going through the 3 hearts challenge now.
But thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

I'm actually doing it with no fairies, no shield (besides with the desert temple boss, which the shield is needed), no magicmeter update and without the goron's sword.
and I'm already in the desert temple.

Your map tells you which places you collected all the skulltuluahs

Yeah, the 3 hearts is really intersting/exciting.

By the way...
@IYM! Haven't you found the cheat to use the kokiri's sword as adult Link yet?

I have indeed beaten OoT and MM 100% (I actually went through a run of every game in the Zelda series last year and beat them all 100%.)

MM is one of the hardest in the series to gain 100% because of how steeply challenging some of the Heart Pieces are. But yeah, I got everything.

Between the two games, I think the only thing I've never accomplished is catching the Hylian Loach in OoT. Just...yeah.
