Really, Guilty Gear sounds good? Is it a mature game... I wish to know, will it have online, what, sounds like it might be a good game. Now if only I had cash...
Guilty Gear XX#Reload for Xbox has online play. It's rated Teen but it seems hard to get. From the looks of it, you'd have to go to stores like Gamestop to see if anyone traded it in. Here's a link: www.gamestop.com/product_id=950555

no word on online play for PS2/Wii Accent Core i don't think. You can hope, but idk.

I'll probably end up getting my smash friends into GG as well.

GG XX was actually the more balanced of the recent games....I'm not sure which issues you're talking about. Gameplay mechanics, maybe?

But yeah--it's definetely worth checking out. The characters are diverse (and even odd sometimes). And yes, there's lots of moves and tricks you have to learn, but, assuming everyone here uses advanced techs in Melee, it's nothing compared to Melee's metagame.

False Roman Cancel FTW (I'll be surprised if anyone knows what that is).

lol, I love people who diss smash and say its not a real fighter like soul calibur and whatever else. Then imply that smashers aren't any good at other fighting games.

there was a great thread of that nature in melee discussion, Alphazealot pwnd it and closed it though, gg.

That's nothing, some people told me I was lame since I still play it, and they talked about how DBNZ Budokia Tenchaiwatever was better! I laughed so hard I almost stopped breathing, lol! XD

They obviously don't know diffrent can be good, or that wavedashing is the cure for cancer. :)

I always tell my friends little sister that she should wavedash in gym class to gain an edge over the other n00bs.
I wavedash while playing soccer. SHHFL'ing sex kicks helps a lot too.
ROFLMAO. Jesus, Christ, I think I pissed my pants. :chuckle: ^That's sig-worthy.

But yeah, it's amazing the amount of people who put down Smash just because it has Nintendo characters in it, and it's too "kiddy."

RAWR, I'M A HARDCORE GAMER, AND AS SUCH, I ONLY PLAY HARDCORE VIDEO GAMES, LIKE NBA2082 SLAM DUNKERS, OR GRAND THEFT AUTO, OR HALO TROIS. BLARGH, SMASH SUX, GTA ROXORZ LOLOLOLOLOL. LULZ.

That's what they sound like when I actually isten to them.

I can't wavedash...

However, I often shieldgrab customers at my grocery store when they ask me to do stupid things like put paper bags in plastic for their bagging prefernces!

Oh and I tech-ed once falling down the stairs.

I actually played GGXX... the #R version.

It is a very good game, but the community for this thing is way too small.

I remember I spent an entire afternoon at a GGXX machine with just 50 cents lol

I was looking for sum1 to teach me the game, but I guess that I ended up being the one to give away lessons.

Still playin' a bit of #Reload now, might get back into it for Accent Core.

And yea GGXX is a very good game... #1 2d fighter in my standards. There's still a few things that I don't like about it though.

Well the only problem with GGXX IMO is that the chain based combo system makes some combos too long. But fans of fancy combos will probably enjoy this.

Oh, and the reason why GGXX is so awesome IMO is because of how they implemented the fighting styles for each characters. You see moves in there that you're going to see NO WHERE ELSE. (well except BattleFantasia... but it has been created by the same company lolol)

Smash Bros. is the only fighting game I've ever liked. It's just got that certain "less is more" approach.

You shouldn't limit yourself to only one fighting game. Smash Bros is an awesome game don't get me wrong, but there are others you should try:)

I wavedash around while driving...really helps get me where I need to go quicker. My car has a physics engine like Luigi, so I just zoom zoom past everyone.

For REALLY long trips I super wavedash.

I'll admit my other fighter experience is limited to the early Street Fighters, the Killer Instincts, and the wide spectrum of Mortal Kombats. In fact, Mortal Kombat 4 did kick *** now that I think of it.

For the most part though I guess I just feel a bit claustrophobic with those big characters in those restricted environments.

I've never tried GG though. Everything I know about it is from the Sirlin article, and what's there is really fascinating, especially the huge differences between the characters.

I love re-reading the first few pages of this thread.

Go ahead - try it! :)

And I DASHED across some WAVES in a wavepool when I accidently slammed my face into some ugly chicks breasts. WAVEDASHING!

Should I be shot for saying that? NO! Because RE thought it up. (It's a true story btw, from the PR thread.)

Actually, we could use a few less annoying threads on the first page, so if you guys are going to keep posting about things other than how Brawl might suck, I probably will close the thread.

O ****!

I always knew the thread was mod proof, but I didn't think about Administrators!

Anyways, here's something to get the on-topicness going:

Say that Brawl DIDN'T have online, like everybody's been worrying- but the mutliplayer was pretty much the same as melee, no better.

Would you consider that sucking, just because you've come to expect the onine? I would certainly be upset, but with the cool new single player and all the good techs of melee, I still think it would be a crime to accuse it of sucking.

EDIT: Also, if there WAS a speed change, would you prefer a slow down, or a speed up? I wouldn't mind some N64ish action without the 0-Deaths.

Ya I always worried about online too and as for the change in speed....meh... it doesn't really matter to me because it'll still be awesome. I'm more worried about how the online will go.

On Topic: I've been playin Stikers online these days, and is very smooth when you have a good connection. Sometimes little to no lag. As I have a good connection I of course enjoy it. I'm kicking so much ***.

hehe for sure. A funnier picture for me though would be a goron getting pulled over by the cops while smoking a spliff and playin his bongos, I can just picture it

as for ocarina of time with no sword :

During normal play, while keeping the right side of the cartridge pushed down, pull slowly up on the left side of the cartridge until Link starts flickering all over the screen and the sound becomes distorted and fuzzy. If you pull the cartridge out too far the game will crash, also if you keep the cartridge pulled out for too long the game will crash.

Quite often when attempting this trick the game will simply crash, to prevent the game from crashing make Link run around while pulling up on the cartridge, the faster Link is moving the less likely the game is to crash(most of the time).

Now when you have got it to the point where the sound is distorted and Link is jumping all over the place you can run straight through rocks and people along with a lot of other weird stuff.

Use that to walk through the guy who requires you to have a shield and sword to go see the deku tree.

Losing the master sword only works after you get the mastersword without already having the kokiri sword.

You immediatly go get epona as soon as you become adult link with the mastersword

DO NOT PRESS B.

then get off and on epona 2-3 times after you see the movie where link and her escape the ranch.

I aint yanking your chain, this works. (n64 version)
Wow, that's incredible. That last part with Epona. What's funny, is that I've experienced that glitch, though it would just happen randomly because my N64 wasn't very well held together. One time, I was riding Epona when it happened, and Link disappeared, and then I was Epona, lol. It felt like that, cuz I was controlling her and there was nothing on her back. Eventually, (man I was having fun) the camera stopped, and I watched as Epona rode off and away. I couldn't bring her back before she was out of the camera, and the controls were too weird then. Wow, I had no idea you could exploit that glitch like that.

Also, I'm glad to see Goku back. It's classic, and I love seeing his menacing, leering face as your avatar. It's somehow appropriate.

I guess we should start preparing for closing of this thread, I can't see myself getting back on topic since I see eye to eye with the TC and basically the point of the thread, so unless someone plays devil's advocate we're screwed.

Brawl will totally suck. Sakurai hinted to there being no online play, and the characters are probably all being nerfed and balanced out, and given meteors, which will make the game major suxorz. Plus the Footstool jump will mean that there's no more wavedashing.

Because of this large amount of suckiness collected in one area, a giant meteor will crash into the Earth in approximately 0.5 hours--just the exact amound of time for us to die before seeing the next update, which is fine IMO, because it was an item anyway.

And that's why Brawl will suck.

(It's **** hard to come up with a reason Brawl will suck X_X)

OoT is not overrated. That's not the right word. It's certainly worthy of every bit of awesome reception that it got...you know, however many years ago that was. That being said...it's 2007. It's a great game, but if I were a new Zelda gamer, I'd choose TP over OoT. Seeing as how I'm not new at this, though...

And dayamn moderators. In my absense (spelling!), you guys let this thread's guard down! Boo on you!

GAW: Brawl won't suck, definitely. The fear most have is that it won't live up to this absurd amount of hype that's being put on it. Brawl sans online play with Melee-ish multiplayer would be completely fine by me.

And a speed change could go either way for me. I can see it being 64ish (which would be fine, so long as it wasn't completely broken [i.e., DI still there]), or I can see it being quicker. Or I can see it being about Melee speed. Any of those are fine by me. What would NOT be fine by me is if they made it faster and some characters were just effed. Like...Bowser vs Fox on Lightning Melee. BOO!
