I just beat the champion in Diamond, and needless to say, I'm very elated right now.:bee:
So anyways, how did you react when you beat the champion in any of the games.

Let's see, I never got past the Eucrateak gym in Johto (apparently, no one ever told me in my childhood that there is actually a path you have to follow.) so I can't tell how I felt after beating the champion there

After I beat the champion on my Sapphire though, I just felt empty. No happiness or anything. It's like you went through the journey, the enemies, everything, and then it's all over, it's like "What now?"

You get me right?

I beat yet another video game.

Whoo!

XD

Needless to say it just felt like any other time where you do something right in a video game, haha.

Finshing the Trainer Card = Perfectionist happy feeling
Finish breeding a Team = Same

EliteFour Destruction is like... completing the first dungeon of Zelda, or World of Mario, it's a baby step.

I never felt satisfied for beating any champion, just felt like I beat a game, nothing more.

Except for SS, in which I beat Lance with an underleveled-as-*** team.

The only thing I really ever felt after beating the Champion was "Let's go do it again!" because it's truly my only way of making money in the Pokemon games and it's a simple way to grind.

Diamond: Wow, that took a lot of effort, but I finally did it!

LeafGreen: Wow, that took a lot of effort! ....Now what?

Platinum: Please skip all the formalities so I can start actually playing the game.

When I first got ruby, my first video game ever, and beat Steven, I was like
"F*CKING YES, I IS SO HAPPEH!"

Then again, I was an 8 year old that had never beaten/owned a video game until that point so....

My only real reaction to beating the champion took place when I beat Yellow version.
"Yes! Finally! It took me 3 tries, but I finally did it!"

I honestly had NO idea that I would have to fight Gary after Lance, so it added a nice element of surprise.

Beating Blue version: "Woo! I beat the Elite Four! I'm so cool!"

"****...now I have to sit through all these credits? Well this ****ing sucks. I wonder if it continues after?"

Yeah, I was a sailor-mouthed little 3rd grader. <3

Wait, you were 8 when you got your first video game?

What did you do for the first 8 years of your life?

The first time I beat the champion, I thought to myself,
"I need to buy a lot of hyper potions and revives now."

What most of you have said is true in a way. The game is only just beginning after you beat the champion. It is possible to beat the elite 4 with an underleveled team. It's not easy though. My lowest level member was Pikachu(lvl 45) followed by Gastrodon(lvl47). Both my Roselia and Dialga were lvl 50. My starter pokemon Empoleon was lvl 54. I got my lvl 65 Infernape as a lvl 11 Chimchar through the GTS and needless to say, It's a beast.:flame:

I remember beating Pokémon Red, I was extremely satisfied with my skill of cheating the game, cloning rare candies and beating elite 4 with a level 100 team!

I let out a big sigh and smiled. It was worth all the trouble I went though and numerous attempts.
