lol I was just following Hugs' advice in the first place:

You defend/hype up your people. That's what you do. That's what we did in the old melee community. That's the way things should be. Not a bunch of neutral ******* who don't care about anything either way.

I can see how he can push it, but the community needs people like that to build rivalries. It's something the brawl community needs desperately. And the melee community is losing it as well, at least prior to all the Genesis talk.

I don't see what the big deal is with the trash talk. Both ROFL and the EC seem to take it so seriously, like everything that doesn't explicitly have a or <3 next to it is automatically written with ill intent. And either way, though it may not seem like it, I'm very methodical and careful with my trash talk, and I never say what I don't think reality can vindicate. The main points of my "trolling" on the EC thread were as follows and are pretty easy to agree with:

1. EC commentary (with few exceptions) is horrendous
2. Mango will **** EC

If you can't even agree with that, then cry more.
