Well, I don't really have a main, but out of the characters I like playing, I play Ike, Marth and Wolf the most.

Ike

Unfortunately, I fight more for myself than I do for my friends, and I don't lead a group of mercenaries. I don't always give people sympathy, but those are generally in extreme cases.

I also wouldn't say I'm slow, but I guess I would be if I was swinging a two handed sword around. I certainly wouldn't be able wield it in one hand, or throw it high in the air and catch it.

I also don't have a cool bandanna or cape

Marth

Not royalty, and don't lead an army. I also can't speak japanese.

I'm pretty fast and lithe though, and my hair is somewhat similar (not blue obviously, but the same lenth effectively). Wouldn't say I'm that effeminate, though I'm not exactly mr macho either.

Wolf

I'll be honest, I'm not really a leader type at all, though Wolf supposedly doesn't work well with others (I do work well with others, but I do well on my own :/)

I can be pretty arrogant at times though, and I taunt while fighting with others (fighting in VG's, not actual fighting), and 'Can't let you do that _______' is one of my most used (conveniently one of friends plays Fox/Falco, so it comes up a lot). I don't have fur all over my body though and I don't have a badass eyepatch.

Sonic: I like to live life having fun and trying my best to be worry-free. I can be a bit cocky sometimes, but that doesn't stop me from being happy and living life to the fullest.

Bowser: Bowser represents my angry side. When I get angry, I become bashful, loud, and full of destruction. Sometimes I might use my anger to convince someone to get me something important when they refuse to do so (such as age restrictions, good deals, etc).

Mario: Mario represents my neutral side. I seem to be the quietist out of my friends and family, but I am full of courage, determination, and good spirit (so I say). : )

Snake: I seem to relate to Snake in a couple ways. I sometimes wonder what my true purpose in life is. What made me into who I am today? Am I doing the right thing? I also seem to work a bit better solo and don't like being held back.
