Ummm.......
I dont really know! Weird cause I know a LOT about Mother and Earthbound.

Well PSI is the english version of PK and that stands for "Psychic" (I think) so its like saying "Psychic Fire!" or "Psychic Magnet!" or "Psychic Rockin`!"

well, Psi rockin is ness's signature attack. Most powerful attack in earthbound, and looks very cool.(recently played it. AWESOME GAME!!!) it is the move that should've been ness's final smash. well, pk stands for psychokinetic powers. so basically psychic fire, thunder, freeze, flash, etc.

I that PK in real life means PyroKinesis. And Pyro means fire. But all of Ness's "PK moves" doesnt include fire so...... Maybe in Earthbound terms it means PsyKic

I already answered you but I just wanted to say that your sig is wrong. Ness is actually 14 years old and so is Lucas. They just look really young because of their character designs.
oh ok thanks alot for clearing that up for me. i wasn'y sure about that either. I'll just keep 8 year old cuz it just sounds better i guess.

Must... play... EARTHBOUND!!!
O: My friend sent me Mother 3 on a rom. I'd play it full but the Japanese font just turns me off since I can't read Japanese and I have to go to read a guide to know what's going on. Also, check this out if you haven't already seen it! This guy I guess calls himself Tomato and he was doing a remake of EarthBound Zero! It looks so awesome and the areas are well done! He makes Ninten look so good, too!

EarthBound Zero Remake

My only gripe about it is that the music isn't remixed as his own.

I thought about joining Starmen.net, actually. And yeah, I think I'll wait till he finishes the English translation for Mother 3. That's when I might start playing Mother 3.

Ive tried to keep myself spoiler free from mother 3 till hes done, but its been kinda hard xD

And yeah they are a pretty good community, they are welcome to newcomers too, but they are like smash boards where you cant just post useless crap.

At times though I like them more because there arnt any trolls really.

Im pretty sure that Poo's PSI Starstorm Omega is the most powerful PSI attack in the game.

But, then again who really ever used Ness for anything but healing? Especially if you were lucky enough to nab a Gutsy Bat from the Kraken.

Change Ness` Down B to PSI Life-up. Ness will then be god tier xD

But Ness was my strongest.... I just used him mostly for healing in the Giygas battle, cause Paula would die too much.

And, although Starstorm may be stronger im not exactly sure, Rockin` was definantly cooler :D

I'm fairly confident that PK Rockin' Omega was the strongest PSI attack in the game. It's been about 6 years since I last played through Earthbound though so I may be wrong.

your probably right. i played through it about a month back during EBFGPS and Rockin` was stronger but maybe thats just cause my Ness was like 15 lvls or more above Poo.

Ness is an offensive character, after you get the insane level-up bonus from completing Magicant you're basically a god and no enemy in the game has any chance at standing in your way except for the final boss

??? I think he was. I used him like an offensive character anyway. I mean, he has wayyyy too much Guts to not make him Bash people. He gets a lot of "Smaaaaaasshhh" hits with the Gutsy Bat, too.
Gusty Bat? Wasn't his strongest bat called the Casey Bat? I remember it was retardedly hard to get because only one enemy could drop it and the chance of that happening was like 1/500 so you had to fight them over and over and over again... Don't even get me started on how obtaining the Sword of Kings made me want to bash my skull in with a frying pan (or the fact that the Holy frying Pan, supposedly Paula's best weapon, was completely overrated and just as hard to get).

REAL men keep fighting the Bionic Kraken until they get the Gutsy Bat.

The Casey Bat was the one which was about 1.5x as strong as the Legendary bat, but only had a 1/4 chance of hitting. It's a joke based on the old poem "Casey at the Bat" about the "Mighty Casey who strikes out." It's on Wikipedia, but I didn't get it from there. :p

The Gutsy bat was gotten at a 1/128 chance from fighting the Bionic Kraken in Magicant right before fighting the Nightmare. It's the second strongest bat in the game (almost as strong as the Casey Bat), and it increases your Guts by about 100, which makes SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!! hits almost a regular occurance. :D

Also, I could've sworn that PSI Starstorm Omega was on par with PK Rockin' Omega. The only real difference was that Ness had MUCH more IQ and PP, which allowed him to use PSI Rockin much more than Poo could ever Starstorm. D:

I do hate how PSI ROckin' took way too much PP to be useful, though before Magicant. It made Ness nothing more than the team close-combat specialist... not that that was a bad thing...

Also, Paula for SSB4. Imagine Lucas' upsmash. Now imagine if Paula's IQ got ahold of it...

bionic krakens were a pain, and werent really worth the effort because they were only available past the point where everyone is a robot already.

I know for a fact PSI Favorite took 98 PP and only did 640 damage to every enemy. I know Starstorm took less PP, and did 700-720 dmg to each, and also looked a hell of alot cooler. As for IQ, theres always a way around that

I'm pretty sure that the amount of PP PSI Rockin takes from Ness. Is very similar to the amount of PP Starstorm omega takes from Poo in proportions.

48/3XX and 98/7XX or something like that...

Casey bat is pure evil don't use it unless you have that kind of time to waste missing.

Must... play... EARTHBOUND!!!
are you kidding me?

edit: real men use the casey bat till the end!

ah earthbound, starstorm OMEGA screwed up my tv's speakers for awhile :[ that sucked

also, in my venture, i rarely used ness as an offensive character. i treated him as a healer of sorts and reviver (and barrier'er of course). if i were to go on the offensive, id just casey bat my way trough... if it hit'd. but when it did BAM.

ALSO BRAINSHOCK. you can brainshock giygas!

poo and paula are the ones i use for killing anything on the screen. paula using pk fire/freeze/thunder and poo for melee attacks and in general STARSTOOOOORM. jeff was my wild card. MULTI BOTTLE ROCKETS kill... KILL KILL
