2) Metacritic often has significant differences in score and perception by devoted fans. See: Metal Gear Solid 4.
Oh boy, Act III. It's probably one of the lowest points in the entire series.

It kicks off with Snake acting OOC as **** and forgetting how this whole "infiltration" thing works.
Then you have one the ****tiest escort quests ever programmed into a game.
Then you have to sit through a series of really, really stupid plot twists.
Then you have a pointless on rails section that is near impossible to fail.
Then some stuff happens that's makes no ****ing sense in light of the unnecessary epilogue
Then it ends with a really stupid B&B fight and more Drebin B&B fanfiction

On that note, I have no idea if this is an unpopular opinion or not but the B&B Crop is the absolute weakest, silliest and most forgettable enemy unit in the entire series.

Seriously Kojima, you really, really dropped the ball on that one.

I'm not sure if you are trolling or not, but if not I don't think you understand what a tier list actually is. It has nothing to do with how good you are at a character. Just because my best character in melee is Zelda does not mean she is the best character in the game.
If I am bad with meta knight it's because I play honestly as him true most people would disagree with my opinion and it's unpopular but still his poor damage output is bad especially in subspace emissary

What does that even mean? How do you play a character dishonestly? People aren't disagreeing with you simply because it's unpopular but because ti's literally incorrect. Being bad with a character != that character being bad.
Literally everyone I meet loves COD. I can't stand COD fanbase
What's wrong with the CoD fanbase? I prefer Battlefield myself and I haven't noticed much hostility between the two communities since BFBC2. And even then it was still more Halo vs CoD.

I don't think you understand.

In a one-on-one competitive environment it has been proven time and time again that Meta Knight out preforms every other character in the game in every single conceivable category.

And honestly, saying that living room skills nullifies years of competitive data is like saying that the Earth doesn't rotate around the sun. Sure, you just see the sun disappear below the horizon every evening but that doesn't suddenly make centuries of research and evidence invalid.

Not sure if this is still an unpopular opinion, but I much prefer it when each video game console has it's own gimmick to distinguish themselves along with games to showcase them, rather than them all playing the same and only have exclusives here and there to seperate them.

I mean, if a console only has exclusive games over the competition, especially if they're in genres I don't care for, it makes it easy for me to hold off or outright skip the system, more so now than before with ports becoming more and more commonplace.

I would say that the Wii and Wii U definitely has its own gimmick, with motion controls (which the PS3 and XBOX 360 only offered much later on with an add on) and the Game Pad.

They have a gimmick, but I can't think of any game where I thought "Wow! Motion controls sure made this more immersive!" Most of the time I just wanted to use a controller. Game Pad is cool though, love having a second screen. But, it's somewhat of a whatever really. PS4 has Vita support and Xbox One has, iirc, Smartglass. And on top of that, individual games have apps that turn your tablet/phone into a second screen as well. The only thing Wii U has going for it, is that there's a tablet right out the box.

I'm personally okay that the only differences between consoles is the hardware and name. But I'm a fringe case of someone who wants every console regardless.

I'm a real fan of being able to still play the game while I poop instead of having to wait until I'm back in front of the TV.

I kind of wish that exclusives would make a come back. Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that you can play a ton of games on whatever platform you like, but at the same time I feel like console gaming has become a bit too fixated on brand loyalty rather than the actual games.

I'm not going to pretend that advertising hasn't pushed brand loyalty forever, because it has. But the fact that gaming culture has wholehearted embraced this philosophy is worrisome. For example, during the Genesis era SEGA of America's in-house motto was "The name of the game is the game" meaning that the key to making a successful console was to make good exclusive games that made people want to buy your console over your rival's.

Let's contrast a real life experience of mine. A few weeks ago a few friends and I were having a discussion about which one of the big three we'd go with if we could only have one. One of my friends, whose first console was an Xbox, followed by the 360 and now the Xbone. After declaring MS he started listed off all of the games that he would stick around for, save for Halo all of which were multiplatform. When I pointed this out to him he reevaluated his choice and then came to the conclusion that he'd go with MS because he always has.

I'm sure I'm romanticizing things, but I feel like we've gotten to the point where nearly every console is the same exact box with a different logo on it. Companies don't even seem to care much for their own exclusives, since they're usually hardly pushed. Instead, MS and Sony seem content to just let publishers push out big blockbuster games to sell their consoles for them. Which makes perfect sense from a business standpoint, but I still miss consoles being identified by their games rather than their online services.

Nothing made me wish this more than when PSASBR came out where most of the "modern" characters were multiplatform, Heihachi, Raiden, Dante, Big daddy, it was quite sad.

If Microsoft were to even attempt such a thing, who would they even use?

Master Chief, Marcus Fenix, Kameo... uh, this guy.

Oh, and Banjo, of course.

I'll probably get butchered for this, but:

● I hate Final Fantasy, and can't stand the franchise or the games. I've tried to play VII for several years now, but I can't bear more than an hour. The games are visually underwhelming, the characters are lame and the storylines are bland.

● Ocarina of Time is one of the worst Zelda games in my opinion.

● I enjoyed "Bioshock Infinite" more than the original "Bioshock", and it's currently my favorite game next to "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves" and "MGS3: Snake Eater".

● I'm eagirly awaiting the day that Ubisoft and Activison scrap the "Assassins Creed" and "Call of Duty" franchises. Also, the day DICE can leave EA and make good games again (Battlefield fans will know).

While I could see Assassins Creed dying out, I don't think Call of Duty will at least not for a very long time. CoD is super huge, and with Activision pushing into eSports and I believe succeeding, it's going to be a while till Activision pulls the plug.

Could you explain the whole DICE leaving EA? I think I have an idea cause I used to lurk MordorHQ a lot before they changed their name, but as someone who started playing with BFBC2 I don't entirely understand.

Have you tried to play any of the games that aren't FFVII? If it just ain't for you then it just ain't for you, but all the games are pretty drastically different from one another.

EDIT: I only say this because I had a similar experience with Dragon Quest where the first game I tried wasn't my cup of tea and left a bad taste in my mouth, then years later I gave it another chance by playing a different game and I ended up really enjoying it.

I guess I should go ahead with this since a guy mentioned TLOZ.
Literally EVERY Zelda game that isn't the original is AWFUL.
Even then, I only rate the original to be a 6.5/10
But there's no single other Zelda game I would give higher than a 4/10.

I don't see a problem with them, they just need context really. Saying a game is a 7/10 with nothing else doesn't really tell you anything.

The only problem with the 1-10 scale is that because of the way the school system has trained us to think about grading the only scores that actually mater are 7-10, with 7 being "average" and anything with a 6 or below being garbage.

This is why I personally like the 1-5 scale with no .5 nonsense.

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe was a decent game. Yeah I can understand why people hated it but I found it to be enjoyable. For the most part.

I prefer Super Mario Bros 2 over 3

I don't see how that's justifiable from any non biased perspective.

I just don't like them, AT ALL.
In my opinion, they're bland and repetitive. Link is (obviously) a horrible character and just nothing about the series impresses me at all.
Yet you give the first one a pass? Depending on how you view the second game, the first is easily the worst or second-worst in the series. Talk all the **** you want about modern games holding your hand, at least it gives you something to go on. You can't do anything in the first Zelda until you've memorized the overworld map. The game is unplayable without a walkthrough, which is worse than any amount of hand-holding I've ever suffered through.

Eh, The Binding of Isaac is one of my favorite games of all time so I'm predisposed to liking it. (it has the best ost of the series, too)

Yeah, but there are some things that are essential to beating the game that make literally no sense.
