that's for another thread i'm going to update this thread in a couple of days. I will not add the gluttonny vs ally snake or falcon unless someone adds them I don't add vids from youtube. I also will update with some more rules maybe. So that i DON'T GET MORE ****TY USTREAM VIDS you guys know who yall are.

Just to keep this semi related, I think I'll get myself recorded at the tourney I'm going to later today for some legit critiquing and maybe even getting some postings up in this thread.

EDIT: I timed someone out in a MM. I lost the set, but that match was so ridiculous lol. I'll update/reply when the vids are up.

Yeah close matches dude. As I was watching the RC one, I was REALLY hoping you would try to time him out when you had the stock lead. You have to play super gay to beat good ddds. You were getting in some very nice fair pokes in between his bairs. The only gripe I had with what you were doing is that in the first match you kept upthrowing him when you were near the edge of the stage. Its much easier for you to abuse ddd's horrible airspeed when hes off the stage.

Like if you would have fthrown or back thrown and he would have been forced to concentrate on making it back on to the stage, I think you would have been able to deal more damage to him. Super entertaining matches.

haha, a ddd will only swallowcide if it benefits them...most of the time anyways. Logically speaking, the best time for swallowciding is when the ddd is up a stock and has like mid-highish %. If you both have the same amount of stocks and the ddd has less % he probably wont swallowcide.

He will most definitely consider swallowciding if say...you are on a fresh stock and he has high% on his first stock. Or if you are both on the same stock but you have like no damage on you while he has a decent amount of damage on himself. You can use this knowledge to your advantage and BAIT the swallowcide then airdodge through him and punish with a stage spike or a fart or something.

Btw, I think I figured out whats wrong with my labtop. Whenever I try to do something that requires decent graphics, my labtop gets really hot. I believe theres a problem with the fan. Im contacting dell customer support tomorrow to see if I can ship it to them so they can fix it. I have 28 days of warranty left! :chuckle:

I didn't see any defensive game whatsoever. In the first game, you approach with a near full-stock lead, and annoyingly you manage to take that match anyway.

Learn to punish tornado. If he doesn't autocancel and ends it right on you like that it's a free fsmash, waft, or grab. You either dropped your shield early or grabbed the wrong direction almost every time. If he flies away at the end and you dash at him he is going to spotdodge, every time. Instead of doing wario's terrible dash grab just shield right in front of him and wait for the dodge, unless you KNOW the grab will hit.

You can throw out ftilts more when he's doing his fair walls, just don't get predictable with it. Also when he's recovering.

At 5:21 you powershielded a dsmash right on him, that was a free fsmash. You waft became charged 1 second later :O. At 5:29 he tech rolled into you, free waft although that's hard to do on reaction. At 5:35 had you held your shield for a split-second longer it was a free fsmash. At 5:43 you had a free fsmash again!
Those are some of the things I watch out for when playing MK.

At precisely 4:35, Defender rolls and you are jumping with him. Boom. Your fart was like 85% charged, it would have blasted him into next week. A lot of the farts I land are from mixups, reading rolls, airdodges and capitalizing on whiffed attacks. This is what I call "Smart Bomb Technology" Style. Just jumping at them and farting rarely works.

Oh and against ROB, you might wanna try getting better at dodging lasers. They are extremely easy to shield or dodge if you're looking for it, because ROB pulls his head back before he lets it fly. Lasers can be extremely deadly (knocking you off your bike above the abyss) and the damage adds up over time to quite a lot. You can also eat the gyro when he shoots it at you, even if it's fully charged.

Basically doing laggy moves while you are far away (such as picking up the motorcycle) will result in you getting zapped with a laser.

haha well we struck stages (3 neutrals only), he struck sv first then I struck bf. Choice kicked my *** on battlefield at BIO4, no way i'm goin there again haha. what's a good stage to cp against falco? Nerd banned brinstar, and he also has a really legit MK, so I didn't really wanna go rainbow cruise.

agreed, I should've capitalized on that roll

however i have gotten quite good at landing farts, more often that not i land farts through reads as opposed to jumping at them and farting

you use fsmash wayyy too much (14 fsmashes in match 1, 18 fsmashes in match 5)

you also use your airdodge more than you really need to. you got put in quite a few of marth's frame traps because of your frequent airdodging. It's usually better to simply use wario's mobility to space yourself out of your opponent's range then move back in to punish.

and, 3:18, match 5 was the weirdest dthrow assist.. like ever

Actually no, if he charges that Dsmash it eliminates an option for MK to roll. Its actually a really smart thing to do.

Well

Given that the wario dsmashed so close to snake, the mk couldve waited a little before moving, allowing him not to get smacked as hard. He also risked hitting his partner. So, while dsmash isnt that bad of an option, i disagree with his spacing, and imo simply standing outside mk's roll to grab to a guaranteed snake utilt wouldve been a smarter option.

1st vid
0:53 - XD were you trying to go for the footstool? It's so degrading to footstool snake out of his c4 recovery lol. you could've gone all the way to where he was when he platned the c4 to footstool him

1:13 - missed a good opportunity to followup with a bite/uair/nair

1:19 - imo you should rarely do get up atk as your first option in a dthrow techchase, snakes seem to expect that first

2:03 - eek that mortar/fthrow/mine combo was brutal

2:13 - it does look like you're going for the footstool, and you're jumping too early. just hold off on the second jump till he's closer to you, and drop down further

2nd vid
didn't notice anything wrong really. however, you have a habit of doing get up atk as your first get up option (1st vid as well). every time snake connected a dthrow, you always did a get up atk first. that will get you grabbed again like 80% of the time. most snakes expect it.

D3 vid:
0:18 - never commit to something when ddd is on the edge like that. you want to minimize your chances of getting grabbed, and you want to minimize the damage that you receive in the event you get grabbed. fast fall dairs don't really work on d3 all that well, especially when you have no room to go behind their shields.

0:30 - if you're dog fighting with ddd, fair is probably your best option. and if he's jumping around doing bairs, sometimes it's better to stay closer to the ground, and try to get an uair or read their landing

also, i know it's friendlies, but plz play gayer against ddd D:

1:34 - should've farted, or uaired the ddd when he first got hit with the bike
