Unless you really have a stock lead, only a few minutes left and you're already at a decently high percentage, sure camping him has its benefits. In most other situations, what happens is this:

- He throws a lot of pikmin.
- You dodge them 90% of the time.
- 20% of the time they actually latch, they'll do damage.
- In the course of say, 1 minute, you'll have taken 10% damage.
- You feel silly because all your hard work didn't really pay off.

I don't really understand what you're saying or what phantom stage we're playing. I could be wrong but doesn't dair send pikmin flying ?

Yeah I think Wario's aerials may clash with pikmin, like in my mm against Asa I faired a purple and didn't get hit at all!

I have a quick question: Okay imagine this scenario... you are on a platform, and your opponent is on the ground below you. What are your options besides platform drop Uair? xD The options I can think of are just like.... jump away. I'm trying to drop a bad habit, maybe platform drop bite if they shield the Uairs a lot? Platform drop, barely go thru the platform and Smartfart? The waft's hitbox is big enough where it may be able to barely hit them. Perhaps platform drop dodge? Maybe screw platform drops? :p

i think it depends on what your opponents character can do.

Yes, most certainly. That looks like the best option so far, the platform dropping seems pretty situational. On stages like Smashville, I think jumping away would be a better option, with platform drops being the exception. However on stages like Battlefield, maybe it would be better to work with the platforms since they're static?

You don't want your opponent to be below you. It's best to jump away and get better positioning. Instead of do something risky and getting punished for it.

Ahh I see. Yeah I'll go ahead and change that up... platform drops are good for mixups, but more often than not I get punished for trying to attack with no setup or opening. They should be the mixup, not the normal thing lol.

Just jumping off the platform or dashing off(if ur at the edge) is probably Wario's best option. Its a pretty **** situation to be in though.the ledge-drop dj isn't a good idea imo. Seems like it would be even slower in practice than just getting out the way.

Actually according to Masky's info, it would take a mere 2 frames instead of four. That's twice as fast my good man :)

Difficulty should not be a factor in the scenario. We're theorycrafting here, remember?

Can anyone give me some CG advice? I'm having a hard time doing the CGs with Wario, especially the one on Falco. I'm just not understanding how to perform it, whether the timing is off or if I'm even doing it right is beyond me.

Also, along with this, though not a question: the DK boards has this Matchup thread (they call it the Cheat Sheet for DK) that essentially summarizes every matchup for DK into brief bulletpoints. I found them really useful in a pinch and helped me memorize the matchups back when I mained DK.

Could the Wario board have something like this?

Well, the CG on Falco is supposed to be really hard apparently, so just keep practicing.

you dthrow, and then you have a 10-frame window to buffer a turn-around grab. I dont know what % it works to/from though. can anyone tell?

Also... guys I have developed a new angle on smash gameplay... works with every character and can be used against every character (difficult to pull off vs MK though :( ), but Wario can do it best... but I've decided to keep it super secret as telling people would reduce its effectiveness so I'm not actually gonna post it... so I'm just teasing you guys. if/when I'm successful with it I'll let you guys know.

Or you could just tell and we could give feedback, maybe even try it out too :) unless you're bluffing.... I bet my secret playstyle is better anyways haha.

Oh and the Falco chaingrab. Hmmm. Well I was having a lot of trouble with it until today. I finally figured out the rhytm, which is key for me personally. Rhythm is how I memorize things like phone numbers, employee numbers, etc. Once you find the rhythm to the chaingrab, all it is is practice from there!

The way I started is to practice dthrow to turn around shield. Try to make it so when you shield, you instantly are facing the other direction. Then from there, just replace shield with grab. Buffering it is important too, that's the main part haha. I did it in 1/4 speed in training mode first, then once I got the visual cues down (Wario's hands clenching) it was easier to do in real time speed.

If you're having trouble with it, talk to Sky. Off the top of my head, he's the Wario that can pull it off most consistently.

I can also do the CG on characters other people might not have tried: Falcon and Ganon for example, or MK on slopes.

Alright cool. I don't have a terrible problem with the other CGs, but that's been the hardest for me, so that's reassuring.

Anyone answer this?

Not meatriding, just saying "off the top of my head." Haven't seen your vids, but I know Sky did the CG consistently at whatever MLG he went to.

So where is this "CG Thread" that Fiction made? I can't find it, and would like very much to read it.

Chaingrabbing Falco is easy for me for some reason. Just buffer it correctly d00000ds lol

Yeah D3 mains have an easier time with chaingrabs like that, because they know how to buffer grabs for infinites. Samus, Mario, and Luigi all require buffering am I right? Just a concept really :p

Why are you asking about d3's CG's on the Wario boards?

It needs to be buffered and you need to pummel I think.

holy sh*t... the CG on Falco is f*cking difficult to be consistent with... its easy as hell VS Bowser and DK though. but I cant get it done more than 2 or 3 times when the Falco is actively trying to get out by rolling away. its very handy in the matchup, but hella difficult to get down.
