Oh I didn't know he was claiming miller status. It seemed to me like he was claiming his ROLE was miller. Which to me means "Vanilla Townie that comes up guilty".

That would be anti-town.

Claiming to have miller status is fine, and it's something T-block would do to stir action.

Sokr, tell me why you are asking other people about something you already came to your own conclusion about. Are you trying to get manipulated? Are their answers going to affect yours?
First off, that's not why people ask their opinions about something like that... Secondly...

mentos, what do you think of that interpretation? Is it fair to say RR and TB aren't a scumteam based off this interaction/CC? Why or why not?
Why do I see such a bistering contradiction between these two quotes? Why do I, and will I, ALWAYS find your play so headache-enducing and antitown?

Crap this colour is the same as July's.

One of us is probably scum. Since she posted in only a wall so far, that's anti-town, right Gorf?

Vote: July

That wall was really scummy.
Well, walls ARE antitown and I'd love to stop em... But mind showing me how it was scummy? And no, here's a preemptetive (I hope I didn't misspell that) warning, I'm not trying to mute your scumhunting, I'm just curious.

You spelled it wrong.

Don't answer for Sokr or try to belittle my questions to him before he gets a chance to respond. If this helps you any, we're really good friends in real life so I know his personality and how it correlates to getting a read.

The thing is Gorf, you don't understand where I draw reads from. I will always have no problem diving into a WIFOM situation, because there is always going to be psychology involved. WIFOM isn't like flipping a coin or playing with a random number generator; there are REAL PEOPLE involved and their actions CAN and WILL be affected by factors present. You CAN make educated assumptions based off of WIFOM. That doesn't mean you should use them, but I hate when people disregard them. Secondly, I have no problem with baiting reactions or asking whacko things like "what do you think of this? Do you agree?" You'd have to explain your qualms with that style of questioning, as I see a lot gained from that kind of thing, personally.

The difference between what I did and what Sokr did is inconsequential. Yes, we did the same thing. If someone wants to ask the same question to me that I did to Sokr, go right ahead.

July is scum for her wall because she asked a lot of questions that are completely useless that she will get nothing from. In addition, July will NOT remind people to answer questions if they fail to do so, and I guarantee she will not follow up on any responses.

Prove me wrong, July. If you do so sufficiently, I'll back off of your colour for you.

Can't tell if you were kidding about the trying to get manipulated part. I'll answer anyways: Hell No.

Are you saying it's a bad thing to get other people's opinions and for town to share ideas? C'mon Kantrip, you're better than this. Unless you're scum. In which case I wouldn't know.

You don't? But you just questioned me when I did that. I agree with Gorf on the fact that your gameplay tends to look anti town which makes it difficult to get a read on you. If you're town, this should not be good for you.

Are you saying people play worse when they're scum?

They lose their knowledge?

They forget what's pro-town and what's anti-town?

They are less cautious?

I don't like that vote Sokr. It doesn't sit well with me at all. I asked you a simple question, and you got très defensif.

Well, personally, I find "your drawing of reads" really annoying, to be quite blunt. Iirc (don't remember if it's you or someone else but still) you have a tendency of confusing yourself and reminding me a little too much of a mixture of Soupamario and Ranmaru. Honestly, and it took me a while to truly realize this, but not EVERYTHING in this game has super deep thought and meaning behind it, and not EVERYTHING requires looking at it from every possible angle. When the time comes to look at things in that light the time comes, but idk it just seems like you confuse yourself too much when you do that *shrug*

Exactly, my friend. Sit down and think for a moment.

I questioned you for doing something. I questioned your motives in doing so. I asked if others' results would affect your opinion. By the way, you still haven't answered this. Will what other people answer at all affect what you think?

If I say I don't have any problems with what you did, and yet I still asked you about it, I must have:

A. Not been sure if it was exactly what you were doing, and wanted to hear it from your own words
B. Been baiting a reaction by including blatant hypocrisy by doing the same thing I questioned
C. Asked in order to make myself look scummy
D. _________________

No, I'm just saying that it would be reasonable to suspect that they're gameplay would change slightly. And I didn't get defensive, I pointed out my thoughts after your simple question made me raise my eyebrows.

You're right Gorf, but calling me out on it now will do nothing for the read I'm trying to get on July. I think you are town thus far, but try not to cal contradictions when they're not scummy contradictions. Unless you think it is a scummy contradiction. In which case, feel free to elaborate.

July and Sokr are scum so far
Gorf, T-block, and Red Ryu are town so far.
Everyone else is null.

Man I really wanna leave so somebody else can deal with Kantrip, but I don't wanna get yelled at for skimming through your posts later. But here's me saying that I don't think July's wall is scummy, and here's me asking what you mean by your accusation of July. Mind elaborating like any normal pro town player would do if a fellow town read didn't understand?

No, I'm noting a change in RR's. Then again, this doesn't mean much since I've played a total of 2 games and max one with anyone in this game.

As for your question that I didn't answer, it wouldn't necessarily make me change my thougths, but it would help me see things from another angle.

Why do you feel I need to be "deal with"? You seem content with questioning everything I do BEFORE I even do it. Would it really be so bad to question things after they happen at least? I'm in the midst of telling July to explain her scumminess, and you jump on me telling me to explain her scumminess for her.

Wait Sokr you were talking about RR?

I was talking about me. You voted for me, after all.
Oh, I don't think your gameplay has changed much, if at all. Nevertheless, you still do scream antitown for me. But that's just you. Basically it was your posts that I don't like that much. Anyways, it was all just to see your reaction. You haven't changed from Britches and Hose from what I can see.

Really? A reaction vote?

Pathetic, good sir.

Here is a challenge for you, Sokr: Go find July's big post. Quote off each portion of it individually and show me a good ol' analysis of that post. What I want to see in each segment is you telling me concisely what she did, and what you think she could get as a result of what she did. Then tell me for that segment if you think it is pro or anti town.

If you can do this for the entire point, I will lay off you for a bit and I will get a better read on you (as I'm sure you want, right? You don't want this scumread no matter WHAT alignment you are). Deal?

This irks me, and it's because I feel like you are sheeping Gorf.

Tell what anti-town means in your own words, and how my posts line up with this.

Whoops, guess I did ask for more from you.

WHAT?! Isn't it in the hands of the ACCUSER to explain what he feels is scummy, and then have the ACCUSED explain the lack of? I mean unless you expect her to think she's scummy then I guess I've been playing this game wrong for the past year and a half.

My bad, I didn't mean that. I don't want July to explain her own scumminess (although there is nothing wrong with asking this kind of thing, and if you disagree then you are just ignorant).

What I want July to do is show me she can change this scumminess I see. Telling her what it is would defeat the purpose. I want her to stop the scumminess of her own accord.

So Kantrip, I was gonna go along with what you said and quote every section of July's post, but then I realised it would get kinda redundant. I'll give you a summary and if you don't like it, I'll try harder to appease you.

The entire post to me seems like good analysis of the play so far and asking good questions to get reads. I see nothing wrong with it and I don't see your reasoning behind the scum read. But I'm sure you have your reasons so I won't question them and I'll let it play out.

Anti-town to me is somebody that tries to head of the investigations of the town and turn them on one another.

Kantrip, you're impossible. I was watching a few episodes of anime, refreshing the Dgames tab in the background, and taking note that every few minutes, it would say "last post by Kantrip" and I knew you were posting too much. It's not helpful. It's annoying. Rereading this game is going to be physically painful if you keep this up, and I'm sure the people that have yet to arrive in-thread will agree. And what's even more annoying is that it's not a towntell for you, since I know you post a ton as town or scum. Just relax a bit, the Day just barely started and we have some people that haven't posted yet.

And don't post read lists so early, dammit.

What do people want from me about the claim exactly? My role name is ex-criminal worker. Description was given. RR is being dense and making assumptions where he shouldn't be. On the topic of his own claim, I see no reason to believe or disbelieve his claim at the moment, so I'll accept it. His actions thus far suggest to me that he is town though.

Wow, action this soon in the game?

Red Ryu presents a good argument and he seems much more... into the game than in Britches and Hose in which he was scum. The RR I know from Britches and Hose wouldn't risk his neck by counterclaiming this early in the game.
To what argument of RR's are you referring? Can you elaborate on what you liked about it?

Yes, I am explicitly informed of my miller-ness.

Not much to say that hasn't already been said. Agreed waiting for T-block to come back and elaborate but other than that, meh. Oh also

Of course it's a male stockman with some in the back

I've missed you, July =P

I'm not seeing scum intent behind claiming miller immediately. However, I would like clarification on your vote; does your vote mean you think that Rajam would make a good D1 policy lynch?
Call it a policy lynch if you want, sure. I put my vote on whomever I most wanted dead at the time.

Question for both T-Block and RR: Are you informed that you are the miller, or are you uninformed and just assuming based on your flavor?
Stated earlier, I'm informed.

Also if you want my honest opinion, Red Ryu's claim is fake.

I think T-block's is too, but that's another story. This looks like some RvS shenanigans, and I don't think RR and T-block are scum together.
mentos, what do you think of that interpretation? Is it fair to say RR and TB aren't a scumteam based off this interaction/CC? Why or why not?
Since you invited it... I'll ask it.

"tell me why you are asking other people about something you already came to your own conclusion about. Are you trying to get manipulated? Are their answers going to affect yours? "

If you're going to tell me that you want Sokr to answer first, don't bother. I'd much rather see you answer first, and I'm sure others will agree. If his answer parrots, we'll judge that when it comes.

Meanwhile, what exactly is your IRL relationship with Sokr?

It stems to what I think Sokr was trying to get from his question. His question read more as "You guys were in the same game as me, tell me if you're on the same track as me" and less of a method to get a read on the players who responded. This is why I asked him, as I hoped he would inform me he wanted to get a read on these players. He told me that he wanted to see it from different angles. While this is fine normally, as bouncing ideas off of other townies is a good thing, I just don't like how he did it as it was more like he was uncertain about his own abilities and he's trying to use other players as a crutch.

The reason I worded it how I did, as it seems kind of harsh accusing him of accepting manipulation, is just because I find more genuine or telling answers come from that kind of behaviour in many cases.

The reason I asked, however, was not to see anything from different angles, nor to use anyone as a crutch. It was based on getting a response from a player who hasn't said anything related to the game yet. Scumhunting.

Sokr and I are like best friends who go to the same high school and hang out to play brawl and stuff.

I really want to lynch Kantrip just to knock him down a couple of notches -_-

But my vote is still going to stay on Rajam. Join me on this wagon, Gorf? Others should as well.
