Can you burn or use a USB Loader to play Brawl? If so, that'll help out a lot. o.o

Sorry to double post but I felt I shoudl bump this so Vile could see it.

The good news is, the sounds are in there and working like a charm. :3

The bad news is that the sounds are extremely quiet. I had to turn down the music so I could hear what the guy was saying. But I defnitely heard "Mewtwo", and could barely hear "Roy". XD

They kinda were, once I turned the TV's volume up enough so I could hear. It was a bit crackly, but not nearly so much that you couldn't understand it.

I'm really looking forward to this feature. After a long wait, it's almost here!

Keep up the great work!

I hope so. Someone mentioned it briefly, but I'd love the ability to replace all of Starfox's voice acting with sounds from Lylat Wars.

I just want to swap Zelda's voices over to Lucario, nothing more (not even the sound effects, just the voices).

I think it's because the character models are the top priority now. Once that is settled the development in custom SFX will continue.

Ok the reason i haven't told anyone how to do this yet is because: Sounds still sound a bit crackly, its annoying and not the most user friendly thing to do (its quite easy, but ive seen easier things get people confused) and the sounds have to be the same length or shorter.

SFX!? YES!

Once a tutorial gets out, I'm DEFINITELY recording my own voices for the announcer and stuff. ^_^

Having said that, does anyone know of a good sound editing system that can take voice out of songs / background sounds? ie make song a capella or instrumental. I know it's difficult to do, but what do you think's a program that can do that rather well? (too off-topic?)

I have looked into the sound hacking, heres what i found:
http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=247119
Yes, I know this is for melee, but i think there may be similarities.
You said the voice was crackly? well, i think it may be due to the coefficient data possibly. I took two clips from Roy, wavs, and converted them both to dsp. I copied the coefficient data from one to the other, decoded it back to wav, and it was crackly.
So, hoping this helps
(btw, coefficient data is from 0x1C to 0x3C)

the idea of replacing character voices is awesome...
i hope this idea progresses.
I've been making texture hacks, many based on anime, but it would be fun to add the anime character's voice to the texture itself.

I had already come up with that conclusion a while back, i just never really looked into it due to all the other crap im doing, but i could take a break and have a look at this.

Well i before a guide i wanna test it out a little more and possibly make a full different sound set for a character.

I would love suggestions to which character should have completely different sound effects.

A soundpack of Team Fortress 2's Heavy for segab's dedede texture might be easy since steam games' sound effects can be easily ripped
