Luke you'd better have a good ****ing reason for not going to CO. Apparently their Melee scene is hardcore and they want UT competition.
is unemployed and broke a good enough reason
like I'd be down to go but there's no way I would be able to pay my fair share and I'd be really uncomfortable with the whole situation in general, as me going essentially means somebody's sponsoring a mini vacay ya dig
I assume I'm not going to go there and take their money so going on that assumption idk how I can justify going
if CO sucks and I can just walk in and win then sure I'll go, but I don't know their scene and I don't go into any unknown scene assuming I'm the best there lol
except alaska or some ****

also, everybody's critique of the tourny result system is true support. try not to get attached to "your" rankings in a way that a critique of them is a critique of you. I don't mean to sound like I'm lecturing you or anything disrespectful, but it's a valuable life skill to be able to accept that criticism of something you support does not necessarily entail criticism of you.
as far as I'm concerned PC is clearly top 5 in melee and PM, but tourny results may not reflect that. and I also think he said what he said as tastefully as possible. I mean you can't really bring up that issue from his standing and not come off as somewhat negative. It's easy for us to say that he's top 5, but if he says it, the script flips because he's talking on his behalf, and not somebody else's, and faces all the assumptions of bias and questioning of motives that anybody rightly should when lobbying for themselves
Rather than saying "these are the best players" just say "these are the players that are placing the best*"
*-does not account for players who do not frequently attend tournaments
or something
