Guilty as charged! It's a lot of fun but I'm glad some things are squared away now. I don't have much experience when it comes to this website, so a lot of these faces are unfamiliar to me, but I do have a question directed towards you about this umm..Veteran status? If we're speaking in context your comment about this got me curious, because I don't know how much weigh this status has negatively or positively. You said that Maven should know better, but what about Bardull (who I assume fits into this as he's a Moderator) making accusations towards me but did not vote unlike Maven? To me, The act of voting in that position looks better than pointing the finger ~Ka
Bard's been around long enough that he should fit in to that group, not that it particularly matters either way. Bards post on the subject is a short "I don't believe Marisa." Let's not misconstrue that as pushing for your vote.

Additionally Mavens post and vote was made significantly after Bard's, a bit more to talk about at that point.

In short, I don't know why you think I would be more prone to voting for you as scum than as Town (I don't recall voting for you in RVS as the Indy abomination in Mario Mafia for example), so I'm not sure if I trust you at your word here.
Why would I lie about something so trivial?

Welll..he's spent a lot of time talking about me, usually negative things! I just felt like by now he would've said plainly how he feels instead of tiptoeing around paranoia, but I guess I'll let him answer that himself

It's an overextension, but I won't kick the horse further.

What's your general experience like in Mafia? Have you played quite a bit?

It looks like a bunch of neutral reads unless your vult read is stronger than implied.
Vult is high on my watchlist, and I personally feel like he may be scum, due to his constant agreeing with others in regards to scum-searching. Still, I've always played mafia where you need to hve a STRONG reasoning to nominate someone to lynch, and oftentims in the game I play, the first lynch is on day two. D1 lynching is new to me, and I'm willing to stand my ground.

The "not that it's a bad thing" was in reference to advancing the game, which was lost in quotation when attempting to make me look contradictory.

No, you didn't make it clear in the first place.

Kary, though, Korean aside, has been rather quick to push the scum-envelope onto others, and can easily be seen trying to push the fame along, not that it's a bad thing.
I suppose there is a difference between 'push the scum-envelope' and 'push the game along', but the way you phrase it makes it seem like they overlap.

Nabe's post just makes me even more confused.
I'll say it again, we should try lynching one of the inactives, Opo has even posted on other threads since his initial(and only) posting here which aligns with his usual Scum play of coasting the thread while Town Opo is much more active or, you know, active at all.

Who else do you consider inactive at this point?

Moydow hasn't been much active but she at least has two more serious posts than Opo.
Maven has only posted once but it was a more meaningful post and he explained his absence.
Other than that, everyone seems to at least be visiting the thread regularly

vote opossum

I agree with Shish's input on him, plus opo's only post so far is a rvs post early on in the day and now mostly radio silence despite a few of us tagging him here and there.

Maven on the other hand is typically busy in most game's that it hasn't come up as odd yet. I do expect to see more of him when he has the time outside of work.

From the first interaction of the game, it really seemed like Marisa is not a real player, but rather a mechanic of the game which is why I phrased it like so. Basically I'm wondering if the game mechanic will be useful for town or not, or just something to confuse us. The liar thing doesn't help either.
But honestly, you and Kary are right we should focus on something else.

English please, I think we had enough of this sthick.

Opossum Opossum Where are you? You make a rvs post and haven't showed up since. Its kind of suspicious given your scum play is usually one of a lurker.

My internet was acting weird most of yesterday. I made a few posts before deciding not to deal with pages taking five minutes to load. :p

Just trying to read throw everything and play catchup now.

#HBC | Nabe #HBC | Nabe Can we get a vote count please?

this is totally irrelevant, but @others, is this standard terminology for dgames? because I am used to scum = mafia, and I can see scum = roles town needs to kill to win, but this definition is
It can be used interchangeably but for the most part scum is anyone that's not town.

I'm fine with either an Opo or a Maven lynch because even if they are town I wouldn't trust them in an end game situation if they maintain their current activity levels. Willing to give opo the benefit of the doubt now that he's posting, but also being called scum for being inactive would probably make me suddenly want to post more. I want to see where the current votes are though before I make a decisions.

I can see why the timing seems suspicious, but it was just a coincidence. :p

Anyway, to provide something useful to the town, I'm still not sure what to think of the Touhou role issue. I'm getting some alarm bells. I won't disclose my full role as of yet, but I'll say just one relevant bit. One bit of my role claims that if what I do is successful, I can't die at night from "traditional means." Specifying this, to me, seems to all but confirm there's some sort of non-traditional means of night killing, and given all the weirdness surrounding the Touhou role, it's something to keep in mind.

Sorry about that then, me using the verb "push" twice made it more confusing to differentiate between both parts. But yes, I personally believe that aggressive scum-searching and the advancement of the game are two different traits, and I don't think the latter is necessarily bad, just a trait that people have.

i think I changed my mind on Kary because it looks like there's pre-game context to his dislike of Bardull that I missed...

Can we compromise on vote Maven? I really don't like his 211, both because it points us in the wrong direction w/r/t Marisa, and also because he dodges commenting on the rest of the gamestate with the Marisa-focused wall.
meh. You're not wrong but I don't think the post is THAT bad.

i'm a little offended. Am I not aggressive enough? I do think I've been less aggressive than usual. I'm finding people hard to read this time

does anyone want to lynch shishoe?

Yeah, if i make a post of 500 words or more and end it with TLDR lynch Nabe, I’m told all votes on Nabe are doubled. I thought it was fluff, I don’t think so anymore. I can make the post when I get home and we can test it.

Mmmm, I've got some experience. I play on a little site called MOTK and have branched out to other places of Mafia, to which Nabe contacted me about this special event. I am Marisa irl so when everyone says "stop roleplaying so much!!' I really don't know what they mean because that would mean to not exist ahahaha~~

But no really, Marisa is my favorite character and I'm having fun with this :p

I..don't like this reasoning! It's the same thing I said about Bardull/Maven where the action of doing is far more potent than standing on the sidelines and letting you fundamentally disagree happen. I'm willing to hear you on out on Vult and it certainly would help my read on you because if I am also reading something correctly S2's problem stands where you are hesitant on your commitment, so please, help me help s2 by helping you so we can all get together and make a helping circle ahahaha~

I remember him justifying a Kary vote by saying Kary was dead weight. It felt dirty considering that Kary was producing content by that point.

So um, is there a reason the swing of votes is leaning towards those who weren't as active?
Cause they're scum and want to look like they're looking out for the town's best interest even though we have plenty of time and the inactive players aren't even THAT inactive.

Basically inactive players usually are more harm than good for town. In the case of if they are scum then they are lurking and trying to coast through the game without drawing to much attention. If they are town unfortunately they are not contributing enough to scum hunting. Still, we shouldn't lynch someone just because they are inactive all the time. Having votes on a inactive person pressures the player to start contributing or faced being lynched as well.

So um, does this reasoning you put double for why you advocate for voting for them or do you want someone else?

Yes, I advocate voting for them as it forces them to contribute. Though if they start contributing or if they someone more suspicious, then its better to put the vote somewhere else

I feel like this strategy would've been better used not so close to deadline, where I'm pretty sure they will either contribute willingly or accept their untimely death like a sack of potatoes
