Honestly, making predictions for the DLC is HARD. I've mainly been trying to do process of elimination as to who I think WON'T get in just to make things slightly easier, but it's hard to even predict that.

What's your guys picks for who you think pretty much doesn't have a chance?

People have been caught up on Brave too much they forgot there are three other characters that are open season for anyone. My bet is we'll get something very westerny after Brave and they'll be shown at E3 to capitalize on this fact. I think we'll also see one 1st party character and a relatively more niche character(at least in comparison to Joker and Erdrick) who can get carried by the others.

Alright so the colleague who watches Jojo is a good friend of mine in general and we played Sonic Generations at his place with me using steam share, we were at the Death Egg Robot and he had to go to the bathroom. While he did this I changed the music for that fight to Palmtree Panic Present JP and we both lied on the floor laughing and crying for 10 minutes Listen to the song yourself to see how hilariously out of place it is

Oh, I know the song. My brother's a Sonic fanatic through and through. I feel like I have an encyclopedia of Sonic knowledge by osmosis.

That's pretty great. Especially at the "YAAAYYYY!" parts. It sounds like a NiGHTS song.

I mean, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but only Joker there wasn't leaked.


Cloud was leaked by Tansuit very vaguely, but his Star Wars jokes were very obviously about Cloud in hindsight.


K.Rool, despite the community's claims, WAS leaked in the shady underworld of leakers, just no one came forward to say "k.Rool's in guys", and Vergeben didn't know.

I have a question for everyone that’s actually related to Smash. We all have characters that we want to see included in Smash, DLC or maybe in future games. Some of us are a bit more guarded with our characters and others are downright hostile to criticism against them. Which is fine but it makes me question: why exactly do you support these characters aside from “I like them.” What makes you defend and fight for any particular character?

I will be posting my thoughts on characters I really support in a little bit but for starters, here’s why I support Scorpion

I am a huge Scorpion fan and would love to see him included. This is because I see MK has a series with a huge legacy and has had an impact on fighting games and gaming as a whole not to mention it’s live action spinoffs. Scorpion is one of the more visible characters of the series and is without a doubt its representative. Mortal Kombat also a history with nintendo starting from the SNES and is finally returning with Mk11. While its gore and violence is an issue, it could be tuned down yet make the character still retain its uniqueness. If Sakurai could make Ridley work, he could make Scorpion work. Mostly though, I want his special neutral to be the Spear attack that brings opponents close to him. It’s quite iconic for Scorpion saying “Come over here!” I want to see Kirby do and say that lol. Lastly, having the Mortal Kombat theme from the movie would be the icing on the cake.

Alright, I wasn't gonna make predictions, but heck with it, here's some predictions:

- Fire Emblem 3 Houses is one game, and takes up 10-13 minutes of the Direct.
- Daemon Ex Machina is heavily featured.
- Joker gameplay is shown with a release date in April.
- Indie segment with A Hat in Time release date and physical edition of Hollow Knight.
- NO Metroid Prime Trilogy or Metroid of any kind.
- Brave is not revealed.
- Content updates for Mario Tennis Aces is shown.
- No Animal Crossing.
- Luigi's Mansion 3 segment with Summer release.
- "One more thing" announcement.

I like spreading positivity instead of arguing why we don't supposrt specific characters.

For me, I support Crono because Chrono Trigger is my favorite game of all time and I'd love to see it immortalized in a game such as Smash as Square has pretty mich peft the IP to die. Crono would be such a fun character to play with his katana and Lightning magic, not to mention the possibility of Dual Techs, one of the most fun features original to the game. And finally, he'd bring an amazing selection of music that wouldn't even need to be remixed.

We have no idea what the full picture is, and while we have a vague idea, we're not going to be sure until we see the final product.
