I don't think that's even necessary the trouble tbh. Lyn Normal Mode is good to get adjusted to Blazing Sword itself and it's very much bearable in the first playthrough. But on repeated playthroughs because you lost your completed save? God, **** that noise

I've made my choice and no, it isn't Nohr or Hoshido.

Maybe we should focus on just being patient and waiting til tomorrow. I'm not one that's likely to jump the gun onto things due to mere hype or hype that others build up only to figure out that it's all lies or being misinformed.
I honestly don't know what I'm talking about atm, but what I'm trying to say is I know Directs get many people hyped and discussions happen, but please try to contain excessive excitement until when the Direct happens, or at least til we know what content will it show when it's shown, you know? Or at least to make sure we're not fighting I mean.
Also, I don't wanna be that guy, but I'm honestly irritated by the "Mach Rider" posts as of late, or is this just yet another random trend...? Perhaps there's a way for it to be toned down as well?

I'm excited for you!
The only recommendation I can make is to not obsess too much with grinding in optional areas. Without permadeath on you don't need to obsessively max out your units, and the game is much more enjoyable that way if you keep a fairly brisk pace and leave yourself some challenge.
My mistake on my first playthrough was playing it like pokemon and making sure all my units were like the same level at all times. Makes the game twice as long as it needs to be and the final few stages way too much of a breeze. It's not intended to be played that way. But hopefully you come to enjoy the tactical gameplay and can open up to other FE experiences with permadeath on afterward. If not, just enjoy Awakening as a solo game for what it is.
