The thing with Shy Guy and Piranha Plant is that they are first party characters. They don’t need a deal with a third-party or second-party company to get in, since it is Nintendo or the Smash team alone who can decide their inclussion.

But when you need to choose a pick from a company like Microsoft, you need to think about characters who the mentioned owner finds both valid for Smash and as a great source of money.

Unless we get two Microsoft picks, Steve is the most likely between him and Banjo because he has the stuff to get in Smash and at the same time is saw as a good source of benefits for Microsoft.

That being said, it is possible that Banjo becomes likely if Sakurai wants to make a second fighter pass after the first one has Steve.

Anyway, I'm not bashing Banjo, I'm just saying he's a nobody for me. I want Steve in Smash and I don't want Banjo in Smash. That's it. I'm not going to change my idea just because a bunch of people who not-so -subtly bashes the stuff I like says so.

The good thing about SEGA is that they see fangames in a better way than Nintendo does.

If there’s something that the industry as a whole should learn from SEGA it would be the way they deal with fangames (mostly the ones based on Sonic).

My opinion shift depending on what context the two are brought up in.

Industry mover :Steve

Fan Favorite: Banjo

Videogame icon: Steve

Nintendo icon: Banjo


Now if your asking me who would be more interesting in Smash I go for Steve as well no one in smash is like him.

I don't dislike Banjo but I think Steve is more interesting choice in almost every aspect.

If both get in, FANSTATIC 4 Everyone

Hot take: I would be fine with the Roblox avatar too.

Not kidding. The character would take my attention mostly because Roblox is neat for me too.

This is essentially my opinion as well. I don't hate Banjo or anything, but Steve just oozes potential that I kinda dig. Crafting mechanics, terraforming, fighting with a pick-axe...I don't even particularly like Minecraft, but I like what it could bring to Smash.

They're pretty big. It's usually just polite to spoiler or link to big images or videos due to them being hard for people with poor internet or who are on mobile to load.

The images are great, it's just that they take up a lot of space on the page when you just post 'em outright.

Let's all just stop fighting and agree Chief is the best choice you cowards.

The man and game of the 2000s. Halo's no slouch. It being seen as Mr. Microsoft will make WAVES, the Metroid x Halo crossover would finally happen (rip Monty), the series created machinima as a media source, and Chief the character is possibly more well-known than Steve the character. I won't deny Minecraft's the bigger deal due to sale numbers, but I wonder if Chief would edge out Steve in the character department.

Nearly all the games worth a damn are on the Switch or 3DS, either as ports or as better games than the Wii U's entry.
The GamePad was a disaster of a controller. A prototype Switch if you will.

The only good thing about it was, funnily enough, the online system. You could actually gift games to friends, have access to everyone you played and adding them via that method, and better apps. The fact these were all removed baffles me.

I think down the line the new VC system if you call it that will end up being better than the old way, but they need to be quicker with releases.

I haven’t played any Halo games because for some unknown reason I just never got a Xbox in my house.

However, the music from the OST that I’ve heard online is dope.
