I’m not one of Golden’s closest friends. He was one of the first users that I came to appreciate when I first started posting, because he put effort into a lot of posts he made.

What I saw yesterday in regard to what happened, or what lead to his departure, was downright mean. I really don’t know how to tell you guys that sandbagging on people doesn’t change the behavior for everyone.

Somebody defended Golden today, and like 6 people all came at that person, or suggested somebody else get involved. That is, to me, toxic.

Sure, Golden wasn’t sunshine and rainbows. But neither is bullying him back or telling people they’re wrong for defending another person’s feelings.

I agree up to a certain point as you put it before, bullying a bully is not a solution and last response towards him was kinda mean. But at the same time, Golden regularly ticked many people off due to being really dismissive and many times outright insulting many others. It was kinda like a time-bomb in a sense that someone would've retaliated eventually, especially since he never listened or tried to calm himself down many times.

I know we are in a forum and there are many passionate people but at the end, one of the things we should really try to learn is when to quit arguing and move one because it's not worth the conflict.

Because no matter how you look at things "He's just like that" isn't an answer, it's an excuse. My mother was in an abusive relationship with a guy who hit her and she rubbed it off as "He's just like that", so no, I'm sorry but I'm not going to stand for crap like that.


Golden has a LONG history of being a jerk to people here, and now that he's gone, I'm sorry but no, the people who were afraid or attacked by him have every right to express their relief.


Do unto others as you would do unto yourself. Golden attacked MANY people here, now it's just coming around.

I give them gifts. I'm just saying that "gi" can be pronounced with a soft g. Combine that with the creator's designation of the proper pronunciation and gif with a soft g sounds pretty reasonable to me.

Oh believe me, you can only take so much before you get pissed. If you push people too far, they’re going to have enough of it and stand up for themselves, which they absolutely should do.

However, there are times at which it goes beyond that, and frankly doesn’t help the community at large to be downright mean.

Now again, that doesn’t mean to just shut up and take it. I’d never recommend that. But that doesn’t mean that anything and everything is fair game to say and/or do to somebody.

I don’t know what the answer is. I just wish the internet, in general, was more kind.

It’s just crazy that the mere concept of anonymity makes people say, and do, just...stupid things.

I also have read people’s posts, but I absolutely disagree that there is only “one” way to deal with somebody like that. It’s a person behind that screen. There’s a difference between standing up for yourself, and becoming a bully.
