I think people are giving the possibility of a MS rep too much credit.
It's definitely possible, but I don't see it as an extremely likely scenario.

But anyway, if I had to rank them in terms of likeliness: Steve, Master Chief, Banjo.
If I had to rank them in terms of how much I want them: The exact opposite.

You know, Banjo is in a weird position when it comes to character requests. He's not in the position of Geno where his support is slowly dying, but he's not at Dee levels where his support is growing as well. Unlike Isaac, he wasn't in Smash in any form, so he doesn't have the exposure, but when it comes to social media sites, Banjo is thrown around more than Isaac. It's just... odd considering where Banjo is right now.

Otherwise, I'd say no western characters would have a shot, so he does have something going for him, at least

If Rayman weren’t a spirit I’d say he way likely considering his buddy buddy Nintendo and Ubisoft are. But they’re French. Not American.

Nintendo and Bethesda are also chummy enough that one of their characters is at least possible
