"The past is the past" isn't a valid excuse to force us to pay hard earned money for something that hasn't improved at all from when it was free. Some say "it's cheap, no big deal!" I don't even have a steady source of income, I can't pay for that **** without sacrificing a chance at getting some indie game or (more importantly) anti-virus software, a vpn or lunch. And if we have no improvements to Online whatsoever (no, old games that many people aren't interested in don't count as an improvement), it's a scummy anti-consumer practice and nothing more.

I agree that NSO sucks, but my question is why did you expect a core feature of an online Switch game to go free when they've been pretty adamant of trying to sell NSO. Anti-Consumer or not, that makes little to no sense from a business standpoint if the main goal is to make profits.

That wouldn't work either and I'm baffled I even have to explain why.

Those games were designed with co op in mind. They were crafted to work both single player and multi player, more specifically, to accommodate both with all the players being on the same screen.

Mario Maker levels will not be designed that way. Hence why letting each player have their own screen is so important.

...but they are being designed around both co-op and versus, it’s a major marketing point, I don’t see how they are different. It literally shows multiple players working for and against each other on the same level in the Direct.

At one point in the 3D World segment, we saw a Sledge Bro... except the shell was red, not green. There's no such thing as a red Sledge Bro... but you know what else is red? Fire Bros. It looks like they actually made a Sledge Bro variant of Fire Bros.

Also I think I saw a purple pipe at one point in the direct.

I'm actually with you on NSO, we do need better reasons to pay for it. Like, the NES games are DEFINITELY not enough. It has gotten better, slightly, but man I would be lying if I didn't say it was an absolute joke upon release.

Honestly, I only bought it because of Cloud Saves and Splatoon 2.
