My Pokémon Renegade Platinum Nuzlocke.

You know it.

This is the 14th part of my Generationlocke, and the final part of the Renegade Platinum Leg

There's too much. I'll let the pictures of all my dead Pokémon do the speaking for me.

Maybe one day I'll replay Renegade Platinum normally and come to appreciate it, but for right now all I can say is **** this game. Seriously. For a nuzlocke this game is absolute hell, and I'm glad this nightmare is finally over.

Shoutouts to Blue the Garchomp for sweeping Cynthia's entire team and tanking a Double-Edge from a Reckless Staraptor with 27 HP to win.

I'm going to wonderlocke Ultra Moon next. Yeah, I know it's not part of the Challenge Mode Generationlocke, but give me a break for once. After that it's on to Blaze Black 2.

A question for Blaze Black 2, but there are optional Hoenn Gym Battles that are super tough. Should I do them?
Haven’t played through it, but if you want more for the challenge do it. The game is pretty tough from what I’ve watched though.

What did it cost?
The lives of 88 innocent Pokémon, 10 of which were legendaries.
Ok so how do I play this?

Edit: I Just realised I have stuff set-up for a Black2 Randomizer Nuzlocke. Anyone interested in that?
It's Pokémon Renegade Platinum by Drayano. Download the hack and patch a regular Platinum ROM with it and you're good to go.

I went to bed last night, meaning when I first clicked on this thread, it brought me to what I hadn't seen yet, which was talking about the Mewtwo armour. Ya dummy
You call me dummy, but you're the one who missed out on my wholesomeposting.

Ya double dummy.

Plot-twist: Armored Mewtwo is just the armor that Team Rocket built to restrict him, only it's refitted for sequel this time around. It's sort of how Morpho Knight was just Kirby series concept art for a while, and how Majin Dante eventually became a part of the idea behind Sin Devil Trigger.

Also, I feel like Excavalier and Bisharp have good odds of getting the Armored treatment if we assume Steel-types aren't excluded, and all the same ignoring their knight-like inspirations already. If not, then they're the Mega Meganium and Mega Megayanma of this concept from potential redundancy alone.

Words. Letters. Characters. More than ten or so.
Speak for yourself, I'm delightful.

To be honest, I think Steel types kinda make armor Pokemon redundant in general.

Steel-types make "armor evolutions" redundant, especially since the Metal Coat is a thing and was used to give Scyther and Onix new evolutions already.
Mega Evolution is already a thing, with Zard/Mewtwo already having two of them each, which makes "armor evolutions" doubly redundant.

Guessing that a new region would be based on the UK isn't exactly an insane prediction. That "leak" seems pretty clearly to be made by a fanboy who wanted to see armored Mewtwo and Charizard from the anime be playable in the game (which actually would be kind of cool but I digress). Anyway, the armor rumor needs to die.

Y'know what? I'm just gonna pull an All Nighter I mean if I go to sleep I'll probably wake up in the middle of the day and that's not something I want to do.

This is hilarious as the rumour still currently holds water. You're kind of reminding me of the box theory deniers ngl.

To be fair, the armor doesn't have to be metal-based. Assuming this ends up being true, the Pokemon selected for this form could have silicon-based armor, something closer to nature, maybe even lava-based armor or ice armor. Just some food for thought.

Light Type.

They should've ****ing done it in X/Y but instead they added Fairy Type like ****ing idiots.

All the types represent some sort of element or animal, but Fairy? The **** is a Fairy? And why can that beat Dragon Types???

I remember Light and Sound type being rumored, and I liked that idea a lot. I'll make a case for Fairy as its own thing though, and what it means overall.

Fairy-type pretty much opens the flood gates for mythical creatures both folk-based and yokai-based alike (not all are necessarily ghosts). It's only a matter of time before we get Pokemon based on the Alice mythos, for instance. As for why they're strong against dragons, it's because the latter type is usually depicted as antagonistic (not necessarily evil mind you) in most fairy tales. They're also weak to Steel and Poison because both types have real-world effects on deforestation, which is home to most Fae creatures.

Really, the only thing Game Freak dropped the ball on was not going in further enough with the concept from the start. We could have had other things like goblins, gremlins, dullahans, and even a nuckelavee for some really ****ed-up ****, but they stuck with the stereotypical cutesy designs. I feel like that's partially to blame a bit.

Are any insiders supporting it? The only one I follow is Serebii Joe and he seems very skeptical of it as well.

Maybe I am being a bit too aggressive about it but I tend to have a "fake until convincing evidence" proves otherwise. A single easy guess isn't convincing evidence. If there was multiple stacked together then sure I'd listen, but until then I don't think it deserves the attention it's getting.

Anyway I'm not really being a box denier here. Most of box deniers were really upset at the idea of there only being two characters left, one of them being Incineroar. Meanwhile I'd love an armored Mewtwo/Charizard/Flygon "evolution", especially after both of Mewtwo's megas left me dissapointed.

Still don't see why it couldn't just be a normal or mega-evolution then.

The way I see it making them all match the armored theme just limits their creative freedom.

Whether the armour evolutions are true or not, Game Freak will probably try and push some kind of form change or special attack feature like they did in Gens 6 and 7 - a feature that won't appear again in Gen 9 onwards

Probably an excuse to give certain Pokemon more mythological ties without needing to create anymore legendaries based on those themes. They could even be based on King Arthur and the Knights of the round table, who knows? Also, there are different armor types to utilize anyway. A Shogun-style Bisharp would be rad as hell.

Speaking of Serebii I just took a glimpse at their front page.
Serebii said:
We have some further translations from this month's issue of CoroCoro pertaining to the movie. For a while, many have speculated that Armored Mewtwo could be a springboard into new game content. However, with CoroCoro's showcase of Armored Mewtwo, it reconfirms that the armour is designed to surpress Mewtwo's strength, much like the armour in the original movie. In addition to that, it states outright that this appearance of Mewtwo is exclusive to the movie, although it will of course appear in merchandise and other promotional elements for the movie. We'll provide further details on the movie when they come.
This actually does not bode well for the armor rumor.

Not to mention that Mewtwo's armor is supposed to limit its strength anyway, which would make it more of like...an armored devolution.

Oh thank god, the last thing I wanted was another Mega Evolution-like gimmick with more problems all the while giving the same Pokemon as before yet another new form.
