No seriously I don't think people realize how much work it's going to take to redesign Sonic and re-animate him. From what I understand this is a process that tends to take a year or two, yet the people who have to do all that work get less than half a year to do it. Especially as the people who are going to be doing that most likely wanted a more traditional look for the blue blur but the people with power said "No, people want it like THIS!". Not to mention there's a good chance that the people who're going to ****ing ruin themselves with a **** ton of extra work aren't even going to get extra pay for it

Oh yeah. This movie is coming out in about six months from now. No way in Hell any of this can end well for the people making it, and potentially remaking it.

If we're talking game credits, Pikmin 2's still looks ****ing beautiful

Pokemon also usually delivers on the credits business: Gen 2's is a nostalgia bomb (well for me at least), Gen 5's is super triumphant and Gen 3's is all about them feels

On the flipside, BotW's credits was unmitigated poop cos 3D Zelda games usually have credits set to footage of stuff we haven't seen before (i.e. the best kind of credits), but Botw just has stills and a forgettable medley

Ok, you may have a point there since we do have good animated videogame adaptations already (Castlevania or Kirby Right Back at Ya! for example).

Japan's already got video game movies down. While DQ5 could still be great, I wouldn't see it as that big of an accomplishment

Adaptions like Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva and Ace Attorney are considered some of the greatest video game movies of all time

Hollywood is a whole 'nother story entirely.
