Honest question, what's wrong with Iron Man 3 again? I rewatched it recently and ended up enjoying it more. I know the Mandarin twist was controversial but that alongside giving Tony some more depth with PTSD and forcing him to not use the full suit was good. It's a shame Perlmutter had to **** around with the movie and make a milquetoast dude the new villain because "WOMAN TOYS NOT SELL IT NEED TO BE MANLY MAN"

Off-topic, but I remember when everyone got salty about Legendary Lyn. Legendary Lyn turned out to be one of the worst heroes, according to some ( That is still pretty debetable ).
Uhh, he is not bad. I remember seeing a video where he was so strong, that no one could damage him with a special due to his high resistance.

So basically the same as you but the Advance games are always so underrated.

Honestly, I'd put Chaotix above Sonic 1, Sonic 4 and Sonic CD.

I actually owned that as a teenager. One of exactly two games I owned for my stupid Sega 32x.

Honestly? I forgot about Sonic 4. I don’t even feel like that should count. That goes waaaay below Chaotix... at least Chaotix has actual inertia and great music.

My problem with Chaotix over the other games is the tether mechanic and odd, vertical level design as well as the different engine because... it just feels off coming off of 1, 2 and 3. I still love the game though, I just don’t enjoy playing it as much.

I get that because the Mandarin's apparently a big deal for Iron Man (I'm VERY casual don't judge me) and they DID establish 10 Rings and stuff in the first movie but it's honestly such a brilliant twist that I don't think can ever be pulled off again. It helps that Marvel realized they ****ed up and released a short where it's shown that there's a real Mandarin and that he's pissed

I guess I shouldn't say it sucks outright. I think people overreacted to it and the general nerd rage toward the handling of the Mandarin blew its problems out of proportion. It's still not great.

Its themes of Tony's PTSD and his willingness to grow and change beyond the Iron Man persona are undercut by every other movie appearance outside of this one. Its main baddie, while an interesting twist, isn't an interesting villain. And it has gaping plot holes and leaps in logic that go beyond the typical MCU's "don't think about it too hard" mantra.

Plus, for the most part, it just wasn't fun. Thor The Dark World and Iron Man 3 both suffer from trying too hard to be gritty when that's not why we follow those characters. The same story they were trying to tell about Tony Stark could have been made much, much better.
