The issue is the uniform.

You can't really differentiate your characters if they wear the EXACT same clothing. Look at Valkyria Chronicles and see how every character mixes their uniform up in their own personal way.

Three Houses in general is giving me pretty bad same-face-ism vibes.

I haven't seen any characters outside of the main three that were distinctly designed or memorable in any way so far. They all look kind of... generic.

The worst part is that they are from different Houses/countries/families, so there isn’t even a twin/relative excuse.

Okay so real answer this time.

It's one of my top five favorite games ever. It's enjoyable solo, but more enjoyable co-op, so you should definitely find a partner to play through it with. It's cheesy and over the top and meme-worthy, but it still looks great even by current gen standards and it has a unique brand of RE action gameplay that you won't really get anywhere else.

Across all versions of the game I've poured maybe 2000 hours into it playing the entire campaign with friends, Mercenaries, Versus and modding **** for fun on the PC version. And since it's the XB1 version on Gamepass, you get all the DLC bundled for free. Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape are both fantastic additions to the main game that let you play through other scenarios outside of the main story.

Just shoot for the head and falcon punch ****, you'll have a good time.

also gonna go against the advice to wait until royal IF you already own a console that can play standard P5

it got pushed to PS hits so it's stupid cheap now, and the royal isn't scheduled for western release until early 2020 - playing p5 now might even help you appreciate the royal's story divergences and additions more, should you like the original enough to consider rebuying it as royal

It has nothing to do with the previous 4. Plus, if it were me, I'd just wait till Persona 5 Royal came out. Actually, if a Switch version isn't announced by the time it's released that is exactly what I'm doing.

extra months, expanded dungeons, new confidants (basically mini-stories), kasumi as a major story addition, new social events, and from what we've seen in trailers, some pretty significant story alterations/possibly an extra dungeon or two

Like, I can't help but think of all the characters as I would the background characters in a Harry Potter movie.

Gauntlet dude is pretty cool. That's one of the better things to come out of Three Houses as far as I'm concerned.

Actually, I'd recommend the Xbox One or PS4 versions. You see, when DLC for RE5 was released on PS3 it contained The Mercenaries Reunion, a separate Mercenaries mode than the base one that had a bunch of new stuff in it. Problem is, characters like Jill and Wesker were left out of the Mercenaries Reunion so if you wanted to play as them youd have to back out of Reunion, go to regular Mercenaries, and play them there. The PS4 and Xbox One versions alleviate this problem and comes with all the DLC from the start. Your choice though, obviously.

Good to know. May look online, seeing as it's unlikely that EB Games still carries that version.

Also, you saying that she ripped off Kasumi is incorrect. A lot of characters have red hair and a ponytail. Anna's hair does not even resemble Kasumi's hair.
They look very different and have very different personalities.

On the flipside, the increased P5 exposure via Smash will guarantee to have people flocking for vanilla P5, so sooner rather than later is advised. Don't make the same mistake I did.
