I can't wait for Erdrick and Banjo to be revealed and for absolutely no one to be surprised nor hyped, because apparently everything needs to be leaked to keep people from being excited or surprised at all costs. No fun allowed.

Only like 3% of the people who play Smash actually follow leaks.

Besides, does it really matter where the news comes from? News is news, regardless if it's a credible leak or an official announcement. It's still hype regardless IMO, but eh, to each their own.

As I'm not very familiar with FE, and that seems to be what you're all talking about at the moment, I think I should probably leave now, before I say something extremely stupid about it, and everyone hates me for it.

I’m worried for Three Houses, it deviates a lot from FE conventions so a portion of FE fans aren’t liking it and those deviations don’t seem to be capturing casuals’/the general Switch fanbase’s interest. IMO they should’ve kept Kozaki if they wanted to ride on the FatesAwakening success and establish a Switch FE fan base and then change art styles. The aesthetic, which is supposed to attract newcomers to these kinds of series, is one of Three Houses’ weakest points.

I share the same sentiment. I feel like something like a remake would've been better for a first Switch Fire Emblem game. It gives IS a chance to play around with the system and draws Fire Emblem fans to the Switch. Something like Genealogy + Thracia, Blazing Blade + Binding Blade, or even PoR + RD would be great to see.

As for some of the non-Edelgard and Claude characters I like the designs of, Bernadetta, Raphiel, Hilda, Mercedes, and Petra all look neat. Dorothea and Caspar are funny from a meme perspective, too.

Looking at those images and having a better context for Anna's design in general, I think the thing that throwed me off with Three Houses's Anna was how long her ponytail was in and how used I am to the Awakening/Fate Anna and not the others design she had before (Tho, gotta say here, I really like Radiant Dawn Anna, I think it's my second favourite of them all). Like I don't think 3H Anna look bad, just quit different from the usual, so who know, maybe I like it more with time.

Anna doesn’t look bad, I just think her hair goes a bit too far away from red to pink. Red hair is probably Anna’s most defining trait, so an Anna that doesn’t have it looks weird at first.

Welp, I hate to say it, but I think I'm already over the honeymoon phase with Joker.


I dunno, I don't feel like he necessarily fits my playstyle, and I'm not exactly familiar with him as a character due not yet playing Persona 5, so I'm just kind of tired of him. I've found myself going back to Snake, Ike, Simon, etc. and only playing Joker on occasions. Still, hes a really fun character with a lot of love put into him so I really REALLY can't wait for the next ones.

I mean, Joker is still a pocket main for me but otherwise I'm not blown away by him anymore. Still, he was a lot better than Piranha Plant, whose playstyle did not meld with me AT ALL, so that's a really good thing. I haven't realky touched Piranha Plant since he was released but I can definitely see myself coming back to him pretty often unlike PP. Can't wait for Erdrick for real. I have more affinity with the DQ games than I do Persona.

Absolutely. It was the only RE game that was able to go almost full Action and not lose its identity. Game's fun as hell.

Each of the games is standalone, so you don't need to play the ones before it. The only thing you'll get out of playing the past titles is understanding some references and nods to them.

It has nothing to do with the previous 4. Plus, if it were me, I'd just wait till Persona 5 Royal came out. Actually, if a Switch version isn't announced by the time it's released that is exactly what I'm doing.

kozaki had his low points (very very very low points), but at least the majority of his characters stand out as unique and give you a pretty good indication of their personality (or at least support convo gimmick) from a glance

Actually, I'd recommend the Xbox One or PS4 versions. You see, when DLC for RE5 was released on PS3 it contained The Mercenaries Reunion, a separate Mercenaries mode than the base one that had a bunch of new stuff in it. Problem is, characters like Jill and Wesker were left out of the Mercenaries Reunion so if you wanted to play as them youd have to back out of Reunion, go to regular Mercenaries, and play them there. The PS4 and Xbox One versions alleviate this problem and comes with all the DLC from the start. Your choice though, obviously.

Mercedes - Blondish long-haired girl, kinda tall, softer face, and I THINK she's Blue Lions.

Caspar - One Punch Hedgehog. Light blue haired dude, only remembered because he introduced the memeworthy gauntlet weapons.
