Once again happy early birthday my reptilian brethren.
I'd been screaming from the rooftops that Isabelle was a lock and wouldn't be (what we know now as) an echo ever since long before Ultimate was even announced. How was a lock?
Nobody was calling the shots on her and was only a suggested echo at best, she could’ve still have been an AT if anything.
Also, I feel like this whole “ The next Smash will be a reboot with 30 characters, revamps, and cuts” will be the new equivalent of “The next Smash will be a port with a few added features and characters”
yeah but thats like your opinion man mine is obviously betterI'd been screaming from the rooftops that Isabelle was a lock and wouldn't be (what we know now as) an echo ever since long before Ultimate was even announced.
@Shishœ and Tree Gelbman can back me on this.
Then chances are I wasn’t even around for speculation then.I'd been screaming from the rooftops that Isabelle was a lock and wouldn't be (what we know now as) an echo ever since long before Ultimate was even announced.

Jesus Christ I hope Three Houses is in May if that's the case...I heard that apparently Animal Crossing Switch is coming out at the end of April? If that's the case, then that REALLY is one hell of a short marketing cycle, but yet such a strong start to a fiscal year, too.
Oh, and I think the biggest thing to come out of that investors meeting was the whole question about pretty much "Are Directs still a thing?" Especially after Metroid Prime 4's delay, the announcement of Yoshi Crafted World's release date and then some.
The answer is yes and that they "have not changed their stance of how they promote and announce their games". So I guess... They're still alive?
AC Switch end of April is just a rumor from what I know, and I *h i g h l y* doubt it's true given how they're keeping it under wraps. But who knows.I heard that apparently Animal Crossing Switch is coming out at the end of April? If that's the case, then that REALLY is one hell of a short marketing cycle, but yet such a strong start to a fiscal year, too.

The fact that she's playable kind of makes this hilarious. But no, she was no lock. She was always likely, but calling her a lock is silly.
Every newcomer is a lock because they were planned to be in the game? The fact that she's playable kind of makes this hilarious.
Like, she was literally a lock because she was planned to be playable and is playable. To say she wasn't a lock after she already got in is not a good look.
Don't start it again.Jump Force? What about MK11? They get rights to some crazy characters, sometimes.
Most popular request rn is Shaggy
Something waa started? I haven't been here lolEvery newcomer is a lock because they were planned to be in the game?
man how did i not figure this out
Don't start it again.
Well yeah, obviously. They were locks if they ended up being in the game. The question is whether or not people realized they were locks.Every newcomer is a lock because they were planned to be in the game?
man how did i not figure this out
Don't start it again.
Honestly Shaggy would make much more sense for Injustice then Mortal Kombat. Most popular request rn is Shaggy
i know what you're saying makes total sense but i dont think they meant it in that contextWell yeah, obviously. They were locks if they ended up being in the game. The question is whether or not people realized they were locks.
And as for Isabelle? I know I did.
then dont mention itSomething waa started? I haven't been here lol
A lot of people seem to take the attitude of "If it's discussed a lot and people who call themselves insiders seem to support the notion, then it's confirmed." Even though Shadow made the most sense out of any character given his popularity and Echo potential, treating him as a lock wasn't wise. It's fine to say "This character seems likely, given the circumstances," and it's also fine to be disappointed when that doesn't happen, but so many times I see people consider characters to be basically confirmed despite there being insignificant evidence to support it.Are we still pretending Isaac, Shadow etc. fans didn't hype themselves over nothing and have right to blame marketing for their over-active imagination?
...I thought we left 2018 behind.
Honestly Shaggy would make much more sense for Injustice then Mortal Kombat.
I mean... being a boss wasn't a bad fit for Ridley. Or Little Mac being as AT was an issue. If Palutena wasn't playable, her guidance would still fit the character perfectly. The only thing that was obvious about Isabelle if you understood Echoes well is she couldn't be one due to the wrong body shape. People hard believed(incorrectly) that Echoes can have similar bodyshapes instead of exact ones. But no, she was no lock. She was always likely, but calling her a lock is silly. She just had a strong chance to be in. She could've easily been an AT without issues anyway. If she wasn't in, the game would still be amazing and AC would still be represented extremely well. Both roles fit her perfectly. She's an amazing assist character and a great unique playable character. Neither are bad roles for her and befit her character overall well(especially since they gave her the right personality when playable).
Live the High School life I never got to!I have no proper friends yet, but high school is not as difficult as I expected.
I’m enjoying it quite a lot, frankly.
high school is just 4 more years of school but you get to maybe drive at the halfway pointI have no proper friends yet, but high school is not as difficult as I expected.

My high school life was pretty uneventful. Don't get too stressedI have no proper friends yet, but high school is not as difficult as I expected.

Haven't been keeping up with Ultimate's Tourney's as I've been more focusing on Catching up to Melee since I prefer their players to Ultimate's Players. Still though I would say Hbox v Salem just due to the pure hilarity that that's the only time the entire crowd cheered for Hbox and yet he lost, It's sad which makes it hilarious in a sick way. What's everyone's favorite Ultimate set so far mine is still https://youtu.be/FOCoSRcVdq4
Yeah, but the developer already has a campaign for Scooby in Injustice.
Yep.i know what you're saying makes total sense but i dont think they meant it in that context
That... wasn't the point I was making at all. The point was that people do not expect characters if they consider their roles to be fine. This is what prevents them from being a "lock". A lock is something that pretty much everyone will see coming. Not everybody saw a lot of these characters coming. Palutena is probably the closest you'll get in Smash 4, really. Little Mac some actually argued wouldn't happen because apparently Villager took his role with the punching gloves. These are real arguments people made.I mean... being a boss wasn't a bad fit for Ridley. Or Little Mac being as AT was an issue. If Palutena wasn't playable, her guidance would still fit the character perfectly.
Most "promotions" we've seen was due to fan demand and/or moveset potential, not because non-playable roles were bad for the character.
*thumbs up* Honestly, high school is not that hard. A good start is great, though, keep it up!I have no proper friends yet, but high school is not as difficult as I expected.
I’m enjoying it quite a lot, frankly.
You also change classes for every lesson, so it's good exercise.high school is just 4 more years of school but you get to maybe drive at the halfway point
people hype it up for no reason
Good luck with High School. I never got to do Public School since I was Home Schooled so experience the experience I never got to!I have no proper friends yet, but high school is not as difficult as I expected.

Yo your part of the home school group too!Good luck with High School. I never got to do Public School since I was Home Schooled so experience the experience I never got to!
Don't remind me that monstrosity. The second one, yeah, but it's food-for-thought. DC has the rights since they're making that Scooby-Doo!: Apocalypse comic.
So I'm not the only one? That's neato.b r o t h e r
If that’s really the case with Steve then I’m probably convinced he isn’t happening.A lot of people seem to take the attitude of "If it's discussed a lot and people who call themselves insiders seem to support the notion, then it's confirmed." Even though Shadow made the most sense out of any character given his popularity and Echo potential, treating him as a lock wasn't wise. It's fine to say "This character seems likely, given the circumstances," and it's also fine to be disappointed when that doesn't happen, but so many times I see people consider characters to be basically confirmed despite there being insignificant evidence to support it.
For example, so many people consider Steve to be practically confirmed for DLC, based principally on Vergeben's claim that there would be Minecraft content in the game, yet here we are with no Minecraft content. So now people have pushed that back to mean that it'll be DLC, without any further evidence to suggest that would be likely. It's just one of those things where people have nodded their heads at enough that it's being accepted as truth.
I'm still kind of shocked at how many people fell for the Grinch hoax. It honestly wasn't that impressive of a feat--blurry "leaks" aren't anything new--but I guess because it had all the big most-wanted characters, people wanted to believe in in spite of its dubious nature. And apparently it was designed to get people's hopes up so that they'd inevitably be disappointed when the final reveal didn't live up to it, and then cause fans to attack each other and Nintendo/Sakurai out of that disappointment. Sad to see that its effects are still being felt.
***** I've been doing that since I was 8You also change classes for every lesson, so it's good exercise.
Yep I'm still home schooledSo I'm not the only one? That's neato.
