There is one thing that worries me about Persona 5:
I hear it has bad writing.
If you overthink it, Persona 4 had the better story. Believe me, though, the writing isn't the worst thing in the world. You can tell because despite those complaints, it's still widely well received as one of the greatest RPGs in the last couple of years. Plus the story itself can be pretty emotional at times. I would say play it for yourself and see what you like.

Those can be fun if done well.

Honestly, I truly believe very few Epic Rap Battles are truly bad, and they’re mostly concentrated in the first half of season 3 with a few from the end of season 2.

Also, Wolverine won. His burns were the sickest.

Also they should do Walt Disney vs. Shigeru Miyamoto.
I would say in quality, the guys know how to rap. However, sometimes I just want to see two dudes rapping against each other than two dudes rapping, then a third guy attempts to crush both of them, and then suddenly another guy comes in as a joke or a hamfisted political message.

That being said, there were few I can say I would never watch again.

Also I'm thinking Wolverine won but Freddy put on a good show.

And here's my Alola region stage. I based it off the Altar of the moone.

What I intended with the platforms up top was for it to be like debris from Ultra space that came out of the portals opening up. Also I just wanted to have some platforms somewhere.

I feel like we can weed *cough* out the people raised in Christian families by who actually remembers what the hell this was from.
Oh my god I used to love that stuff. I’m not religious now but I still think they’re good moral-driven shorts. Still mad they never made a Larry-Boy feature film.

Too bad DreamWorks bought them and shut them down.

Yea but this song was a bop
Oh my god that one was my favorite! I ate so many cheeseburgers because of that song, I probably gained 50 pounds from it.

From what I’ve watched/heard and played, the story gets pretty formulaic (With the Okurma arc having a not so good beginning),

as well as the final dungeon being the worst one in the game. Oh and there’s also another team vs Ultimate god as final battle, so that might bother you to have another final boss hats like that.

How do you feel about Persona 5?
( You are a SMT nerd, so I am pretty sure you are a Persona nerd too. )
You already know how I feel about Persona 5.
I wrote a long-ass reply yesterday about Persona 5 which you already liked.

In terms of story, it's far more character focused and dialogue focused, with you taking the place of a teenager and interacting with schoolmates to raise your levels of friendships with them. Each game has a theme that's explored and reflected throughout the story, like rumors, death, truth, rebellion etc. and the enemies reflecting that as well. It's not a game franchise that "rocks the boat" in terms of crazy out-there concepts, but it does pull off the tropes and concepts you're used to very well. Think a really well done high school shonen.

In terms of general gameplay, instead of being a pure JRPG, it's split between a social simulator where you go about the life of a normal teenager talking to friends and increasing your "social links" and a dungeon crawler along the lines of what you're used to. While alone these systems aren't particularly deep, the way they interact and feed into each other is pretty fun- talk to friends to increase your combat options in dungeons, and explore dungeons to fulfill sidequests to please your friends.
One big part, fusion, instead of forming your party, forms your own "persona" while your party consists of your real-world friends. You are the most flexible character in your team, so it's up to you to switch around when necessary and support the team. However your time is limited via a calendar system where you have to manage your time between the real world and dungeon crawling with only a limited amount of time being available.

Time for the meat and bones, combat. Like SMT, you have a turn manipulation system, however instead of the "Press Turn" system you have the "One More" system. Whereas the Press Turn divides your full turns across your teammates for hitting a weakness, Persona uses a simple "+1 turn to the attacker" system, allowing them to attack again. Keep hitting enemies, and keep getting more turns. You can't do it infinitely though, when you hit an enemy they get knocked down which means landing a weakness on them will not grant you another turn, moving on to the next character in your line. However, if you manage to knock down everyone via weaknesses or crits, you are able to do an "All Out Attack" which does a large amount of damage to every enemy for free. Its damage is proportional to how many active party members are left, though so it may be better to hold off.

Music's great.
Visuals are great.

TL;DR check it out, you might like it. I highly recommend it.[/QUOTE
I would say it doesn't have great writing, but it's still extremely worth checking out.

Also why are you talking about writing when you've hardly played any games with a focus on story? How would you even know if you don't have anything to compare it to?

Also, I know I’m overthinking this. But why is Freddy targeting Wolverine? He seams a little different from the type of person Krueger usually kills. I know the real world reason why, but they gave the battle a bit of story and that story doesn’t make sense when you think about it.

Also, Wolverine won. His burns were the sickest.

Also they should do Walt Disney vs. Shigeru Miyamoto.
I think it’s cause they’re 2 guys with claws that technically can’t die?

Don't spoil the final battle of all things, man. Or at least put it under a spoiler tag

Ah, nice!
Thank you for the review!
What games do have great writing?

Also on your last point, exactly. I want to play a game that blows me away in terms of writing, combat, etc. Persona 5 is fine though.

So my major gripes with Stage Builder right now:

-No Triangle draw option
-Lack of Copy and paste option
-No Go-Through Platforms
-The eraser should have an option to erase parts not just erase the whole shape.

Spoiled the final act of Persona 5. Their post was edited now. praline praline the post you quoted still has the spoiler in it despite it being edited so can you remove that before some poor Noipoi comes and sees it?

What about poor praline!?
To prevent other casualties like yours, we have to take measures. It's for the greater good.

E: Oh good. You edited it. Nevermind. Sorry it got spoiled though.

Sorry, I’m a loner

And besides, I’m already serving under Cyn Cyn so I can’t be adopted
You can be enslaved by the queen of evil tomorrow, I'm taking you home and you're eating your veggies right now.
Luckily I wasn’t planning on partaking either.

Unfortunately @Shishœ tried to adopt me but I showed the “Get out of adoption free” card.
Don't think it's that easy, young man.

They're back *******!
Now that's a channel I haven't seen in forever I used to watch these dudes all the time so it's nice to see them back.

I also think Wolverine won that though I would say that Freddy put up a good match, Seriously it's nice to see that the channel was brought back.

They’re completely independent now. They even have a Patreon.
