Honestly, I just got that vibe when people make DB seem like a show that's just 100% fighting and when people make Goku seem ultra serious, when in reality he's a pretty goofy guy.

It's kinda like FF7 in that regard, I was surprised to learn that Cloud wasn't some edgy emo teen and instead was a goodball.

I mean, Cloud is totally an Edgy Emo Teen in Advent Children, so you weren't wholly wrong in that assumption.

Thanks to Teeb in the Joker thread we know that Arsene's model was codenamed "Doyle" - a reference to Sherlock Holmes author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as well as a reference to Detective Conan who has a rival based on Arsene Lupin named Kaito Kid.

Also the model is gorgeous.

Yo @PlayerOneTyler and @NonSpecificGod I saw an interesting point on a 4chan thread and wanted to fact check it.

An anon said that the Disney Infinity Devs tried to negotiate with Nintendo to get Mario in the game as a console exclusive so that Mickey Mouse and Mario could be in the same game. Is that true?

So I'm not either of the awesome people you tagged, but I can give some insight on this, as I was super into Infinity and have heard some neat insider stuff.

This isn't confirmation, but only a rumor. Apparently they did ask for Mario, but Nintendo was hesitant and only offered Bowser and Donkey Kong, which is what Skylanders eventually got. The deal pretty much fell through after that, but yeah, supposedly the Skylanders/amiibo crossover was at one point planned for Infinity, too.

The issue is that the people I've talked to about this weren't sure if it was legit or just an office rumor, so it's one of those things that's a neat fun fact but may just be an urban legend.

Goddamn, that Arsene model really does look sick. It's faded in game, they didn't have to make it that detailed. Wish we had a model viewer to see it properly.

Well, I created a stage in Stage Builder. I called it "Bottlefüld", it's like Battlefield, except the left and right platforms rotate, there's a lava pit in the middle, and you literally cannot die by falling off the bottom blast zone because there's a channel of wind that pushes you up to be level with the main platform.

Very creative.

It's actually kind of a nightmare to play on (you can't pass through rotating platforms even if they're the right thickness).

Arsene Lupin is a contemporary character to Sherlock Holmes actually, he was created by Maurice Leblanc. Various of the stories of Lupin have him interacting with Holmes, under a pseudonym due to legal conflicts.
