Interesting question for the class:
What are characters you actually asked for in the past that got in?

For reference: I started with Brawl but didn't really get into speculation until Ultimate.
Characters I blindly expected to happen at some point:

Characters I figured would be really cool i they would get announced:

Characters I REALLY wanted back:

Characters I've actually made blood sacrifices for:
(And for some reason she isn't even a unique character)

So in your opinion: Do I have 8 characters in the game that I wanted, or do I have 0,5?

Sm4sh 4? K. Rool, Dixie Kong, Krystal, Lip and Isaac. Imagine my disappointment.

In terms of Maximum Overdrive support for Ultimate King K. Rool, Dixie Kong and Isaac were the main ones and every thing else was “that would be cool” tier.

If you specifically need a straight line, the line tab actually opens a menu if you click it. From there you can choose to create rectangles/ellipses instead of free drawing, the former of which is what you probably want to work with.

And I found out while working on my third stage that you can actually click on existing shapes you've placed and resize them/mess with the proportions.

Drawing objects is still kind of wonky even without the size minimum and it's no art program, but I'm surprised just how many tools are hiding under the initial surface of Stage Builder.

I have only ever wanted 7 characters. Of those the following have gotten in:

Ike was a big one,
Robin, Shulk, Megaman for 4...

It still deals the same damage and knockback, though.

They just nerfed its shield damage, and even then, it's safer on shield now.

I told @TotsBS I don't know how I've gotten so lucky. I just have.

I don't feel strongly about Sans. If we get an Undertale rep it'll be Frisk who uses the attacks of the other Undertale characters.

Why?

The move is as powerful as before, the only thing that was nerf is the shield damage (which plenty of character projectile got too), but in exchange, you are stuck longer in shield if you block a charge shot, so really, it isn't that bad.

If we get an Undertale rep it'll be Frisk who uses the attacks of the other Undertale characters.

All I can say to that is I wish I had your luck if I did we might've gotten Geno in already, Good for you man.

I'd say it's not so much luck as it is that the characters that I support have good chances.

None of those characters were far reaches really.

• Shulk, Chrom (Robin), Palutena, and Megaman all had Gematsu going for them
  • Megaman was one of the most requested characters period
  • Palutena had Sakurai Bias
  • Shulk had good chances given Sm4sh's focus on new IPs
  • Awakening saved the series
• Mewtwo was a massive fan request
  • You tell me what other character has had fans tell Sakurai at E3 to tell him that they want him?
• Joker was the largest reach, but Sakurai bias really carried him.
  • Seriously, Persona 5 is a large influence in Smash Ultimate and it shows.

Sora is the farthest reach I've got. I'm staying hopeful though.

There's no way they'll pull off EVERYONE IS HERE 2.0, and by the time DLC is done, and them probably adding stuff back in(HOME RUN CONTEST?!), Ultimate, content-wise, will be near perfect.

2027, assuming the Switch gets replaced with its successor in 2024, and a large amout of time is taken to rework smash from the ground up.

Frisk would be neat. Maybe they could have a gimmick where you could chose if your attacks deal damage or not, and you get rewarded if you do the pacifist attacks.

Wants in 2013:

Sceptile, Flygon, Doctor Eggman, Drawn to Life Hero. Score: 3/8

Wants in 2015:

Captain Toad, Hero, Fawful, Zero, Rundas, Wonder Red. Score: 1/8

Wants in 2017:

Hero, Fawful, Zero, Rundas, Wonder Red, Skull Kid, Rex. Score: 2,5/10

Wants now:
Fawful, Zero, Sylux (but actually Rundas), Skull Kid, Lora, 2B, Amaterasu, Grovyle. Score: Probably 1/8

Characters not included here because they're too farfetched:
Orcane, Gharnef, Rokusho, Ga Jiarg, Lon'qu, Ben

I'd prefer if they just kept porting Ultimate/doing very resource-reusing sequels. Then the roster won't be cut to almost nothing, and we can still get newcomers (it's hard to justify Bandana Dee if Meta Knight isn't in, for example.)

I really don't even want another Smash after Ultimate, kinda.

There's no way they'll pull off EVERYONE IS HERE 2.0, and by the time DLC is done, and them probably adding stuff back in(HOME RUN CONTEST?!), Ultimate, content-wise, will be near perfect.

But more characters are always welcome which is what I'm interested in for a new Smash Game cause there's no way they will top Ultimate but otherwise I would like to see who they add in the future.

And on a different note the Speculation scene is really dying down which I don't really like as Speculation and all was my favorite part of Ultimate even more than the game itself.

I'm super content with Ultimate but I would like more Characters and for the Speculation scene to fire up again which is why I'm an advocate for a Season 2.

There is something funny I noticed about Joker.
If he ate a mushroom, he still can't get opponents on a platform.

I tried it on other characters like King K. Rool and Pichu, and they still could not get hit.
Weird hitboxes, must have something to do with the Z-Axis.
