Also while he refered the Aegises as Pneuma and Logos first, it respected their new names of Malos, Pyra and Mythra

When we factor in the chances of Microsoft getting a representative thanks to their recent relationship with Nintendo--including Cuphead for Switch, and rumors of XBOX live and Rare Replay on Switch, it was always a matter of which Microsoft character will get in. Steve was always considered the likely candidate due to Verge and Hitagi, but now there are plentiful reasons as to why that ended up being wrong. (On Verge's part, he couldn't interpret a the line of code for Ratholos (EndDragon)." With Steve out of the picture, Halo and Cuphead practically being disconfirmed by their creators, we're only left with Banjo and Kazooie, who are mysteriously never discussed for Smash by employees without being forced to delete their comments.

Also apparently there was some ambiguously credible leaker named Indie Gamer Chick who said Nintendo approached Rare over Banjo and it led down to Microsoft wanting to take things further. She deleted her original post, which means she was forced to delete it or she was like, "Hmm. Maybe not." This gal is someone I'm pretty iffy on so I'm not using it heavily for Banjo. My hope really started with PolarPanda.

Isn't that the chick who deleted her tweets after mentioning Jill was out of consideration of DLC for political reasons and also publishes a lot of tweets with info relating to bad blood between Nintendo and Rareware that has already been disproven? Not sure if I would put my trust on her honestly.

While that would be nice, I prefer the more western, specifically british, style humor and designs in Banjo. I feel like a company like Retro would be best equipped to recreate that.

But a new Banjo game is a total **** YES!

Yakuza 0. It's 20 bucks, and the first game in the Yakuza series chronologically, so it's a great starting point.

There are better arguments to fact check people on my guy.

But if they backtracked on both, then why do you think Banjo is more likely?

I'm sorry, but some of y'all are starting to treat Banjo like Erdrick.

I can at least understand why that is for Erdrick (even if I don't agree w/ it), but for Banjo, I think it's more of wishful thinking on your guys' part.

It's why I anticipate @Bolderousness' account being saved in one day due to Erdrick and Banjo both being revealed at E3. It's a smart move that appeals to the whole world (Erdrick for the East, Banjo for the West with some crossover occurring, of course).

You say that, but I think we're overestimating how ready the fighters are by then. My concerns stem from:

• Piranha Plant taking three months since its reveal to be finished in a playable state.
• Joker taking till April since his initial reveal (probably because of 3.0.0 and Plant)
• We're still relatively in the dark on DLC patterns and vastly underestimated when we'd get Newcomer #2 (Erdrick).

I agree that if Erdrick is getting revealed, E3 is probably the best place to do it. Advertising Dragon Quest as a series, and then revealing Erdrick is a better marketing strategy than just releasing Erdrick by himself after Joker gameplay. He might even be in a near playable state by then so it's not like we're waiting for him once he's revealed. Decent enough call.

Banjo? Well **** man. If I knew their fighter reveal schedule, I wouldn't even be here. The thing about Joker's direct from yesterday is that it's evidence that Nintendo can just reveal something whenever they want. We got no warning whatsoever that this was happening, and there's no evidence for us to really predict the next newcomer.

It's very possible that it can be like the final Smash 4 direct. Remember when Cloud was practically near-shadow dropped and then we had to wait two more months for Corrin and Bayo after their reveal? That's be ideal, but I'm not holding my breath on this.

I really want to get stuck in to creating stages again. I hope the grid is similar to the Stage builder grid from Smash Wii U and Mario is still scaled at a 2 x 3 size block tall.

That way I can get straight to recreating cut past stages and bonus stages again, or at least remake the ones I have saved on Smash Wii U.
